Volume 1 Chapter 16: You Actually Look Pretty Cute in a Magical Girl Outfit
No, I can’t let this disaster beast come this way!
Amethyst hesitated for only a moment. There was almost no time to think.
She lightly waved the wand in her hand, and several light bullets shot straight toward the beast’s bright red eyes.
But the attack did not stop there.
The wand in Amethyst’s hand suddenly changed into a dazzling sword of light several meters long, and she fiercely slashed it toward the beast’s head.

The beast lunged forward.

But the moment the claws touched the light arrow, it suddenly split apart into dozens of smaller arrows, which scattered and struck several parts of the beast’s head.

Layers of electric arcs wrapped around the purple arrows and surrounded the beast.
The beast cried out in pain as electricity spread across its body, leaving it seemingly paralyzed.
But Amethyst’s attack had not ended.
Using the moment while the beast struggled, she pulled the bow into a full moon shape.
Purple light became another arrow, wrapped in crackling electricity like dancing snakes, and shot directly into the beast’s head.
Amethyst pressed the attack.
The longbow changed again into a sword of light, and she thrust it toward the beast’s right eye.
Enraged, the struggling beast swung its claws at the sword.
But this time the light sword was not broken apart.
Though dimmer than before, the blade pierced through the beast’s hard skin and brought out a large spray of black blood.
But Amethyst was not in good shape either.
Her slender body was sent flying backward. She rolled through the air several times before barely regaining balance.
She did not even have time to steady her breathing when the completely enraged giant monster roared again.
It beat its huge wings, rose into the air, and like a falling mountain, charged straight at Amethyst.
Without hesitation, she tried to fly upward and dodge again.
But when her eyes turned toward the building behind her, she suddenly realized something, and her pupils shrank.
...Because of the impact from the last strike, she had unknowingly been pushed back near the same building as before.
