Chapter 90: No Need to Force Yourself
Su Moyu brought the shrimp porridge out of the kitchen and placed it in front of Bai Shuchuan.
“Hurry and eat breakfast, master~”
She said it with a bright smile and an extremely gentle voice.
Bai Shuchuan froze for a moment. The hand holding the spoon trembled slightly.
When Su Moyu saw his doubtful look, her smile became even brighter.
“What’s wrong? I’m just trying something new for you,” she teased. “What if you get tired of me?”
Bai Shuchuan looked at her helplessly.
“That won’t happen so fast,” he said. “We’ve only been together for a few weeks.”
Su Moyu frowned. The moment he saw her expression change, he felt he had said something wrong.
Her face went from smiling to frowning.
“So you will get tired of me?” she asked, pouting.
Bai Shuchuan laughed softly. “No.”
“But you just said it yourself,” Su Moyu huffed.
He really didn’t know what to do.
“I really won’t,” he said again.
“Alright, just eat,” Su Moyu said as she sat down in front of him. “People always like new things and get tired of old ones. In a relationship, you need to keep things fresh, right?”
Her voice was soft and pleasant, and she smiled sweetly.
“Okay,” Bai Shuchuan replied, taking a bite of the porridge.
He looked back at her and, as expected, saw her watching him with anticipation.
“It’s very good.”
“See? I actually have talent,” Su Moyu said proudly, crossing her arms.
“Should I clean the kitchen?” Bai Shuchuan asked after another bite.
“I already cleaned it,” she said, then went to the kitchen to get herself a bowl of porridge and sat beside him.
Bai Shuchuan was a bit surprised that she had suddenly become so hardworking.
“That’s impressive,” he praised.
“Of course.”
Even though her body still felt uncomfortable, and waking up early to cook breakfast was tiring…
And the medicine made her waist feel sore…
Su Moyu wasn’t the type to complain, at least not about this. She didn’t like talking about how hard she worked just to get his praise.
Even though she really wanted to, she felt that doing it too much might annoy him.
“After class today, I’m going to look for a part-time job,” she said. “You also have work this afternoon, right?”
“Yeah. What kind of part-time job are you looking for?” Bai Shuchuan asked.
“I’ve checked already. I’ll probably just work at the campus package station.”
“Isn’t that very tiring…?”
When she heard that, Su Moyu immediately made a pitiful face.
“Yeah, it is tiring. So when I get back, you have to treat me well, okay?”
Bai Shuchuan nodded seriously. “I will.”
“Mm-hmm.”
She trusted him.

Bai Shuchuan felt that Su Moyu was really tired.
During class in the morning, she kept nodding off while looking at the board. Seeing her sleepy eyes, he gently touched her arm to wake her up.
She immediately became alert and turned to look at him.
“What is it?”
Seeing how sleepy she looked, Bai Shuchuan leaned closer and spoke softly.
“Why don’t you go back to the dorm this afternoon and rest? You look really tired.”
Su Moyu was extremely sleepy.
But for some reason, a stubborn feeling rose in her heart, making her shake her head.
“I’ll just go work this afternoon.”
After all, she knew Bai Shuchuan had been working hard to earn money. She couldn’t feel at ease just lying around.
They had a shared goal now…
To earn money and then raise a cat!
But her determination only lasted for a short while before she suddenly lost consciousness.
When Su Moyu woke up again, she heard her classmates talking loudly, and she felt someone shaking her shoulder.
“Class is over.”
Bai Shuchuan’s voice came.
She suddenly woke up and saw students crowding toward the door.
“Class is over already?”
Bai Shuchuan nodded. “Yeah.”
A wave of embarrassment hit her. She was still very sleepy, but now she also felt ashamed.
She had just told him she wasn’t tired, and then she fell asleep right away?
That was way too embarrassing.
“How long did I sleep?” she asked, starting to pack her books.
“A little more than one class. You didn’t even wake up during the break.”
Hearing that made her feel even more embarrassed.
It was so noisy during the break, and she still didn’t wake up…
She walked toward the door, and Bai Shuchuan followed behind her.
As expected, he spoke again.
“Maybe you should go back and rest…”
She still didn’t want to.
“It’s fine, I’ve rested enough,” she said, taking his hand. “Let’s go eat. You still have work this afternoon.”
Bai Shuchuan sighed quietly. After walking for a bit, he gently touched her head.
“Don’t push yourself too hard,” he said softly.
“Okay, okay.”
But while eating, Su Moyu felt like she had no strength at all. Her head kept feeling dizzy.
Sitting across from her, Bai Shuchuan noticed how pale she looked. She barely touched her food.
“Do you feel unwell?” he asked softly.
“I’m okay…” she said weakly, lowering her head to take a bite.
Now he really didn’t know what to say.
Maybe even if he tried to persuade her, she wouldn’t listen…
Maybe he just wasn’t good at comforting people.
He thought to himself and quietly finished his meal.
Strangely enough, the more energetic Su Moyu acted in front of him, the more weak she looked when listening to the job instructions at the package station.
She had no strength at all. Her lower belly hurt in waves, and her head felt dizzy.
“Are you okay?” the manager asked, seeing how pale she was.
Su Moyu gave a soft response.
“Come back tomorrow. You don’t look well,” the manager said, moving her shift to the next day.
“Go home and rest.”
She seemed too tired to reply, or maybe she had already realized something, so she just nodded and walked out.
“Maybe… I have a fever?”
She touched her forehead, and another wave of dizziness hit her.
