Su Moyu looked up as Bai Shuchuan placed the kettle of hot water in front of her. Then she waved at him as if saying goodbye.
“Wait for me to come back,” he said, reaching out to check her forehead again.

“Why does it feel like you’re going off to war?”

Su Moyu lay on the bed, watching short videos. Then she turned over again and poured herself a cup of hot water.

Su Moyu cleared her throat, glanced at the ceiling light, and then said,
