In the morning, when sunlight shone on Peiya’s backside, she couldn’t help but turn over, it was really too bright.

Peiya calmed herself down. After a while, she finally went out, quickly washed her clothes, and then went to the living room.
At that time, Wilson was already preparing the bow and arrows for the day. When he saw them, he pointed at the bread on the table.

“Today we’re going to the hunting grounds in the mountains. There are wild deer there, and sometimes monsters appear too. Don’t stay too far away from me. On the east side of the mountain, there are packs of wild dogs. If they surround you, it’ll be very dangerous. Understood?”
“I understand.” Peiya nodded, then pointed at the black tubes near Wilson’s feet and asked, “What are those?”
“Cannons,” Wilson replied. “The place we’re going to is dangerous. Bringing these will give us a better chance to handle problems. Remember this kids, hunting tests not only your strength, but also your patience.”
“Okay.”
Peiya nodded obediently, earning Wilson’s approval.
After breakfast, Wilson started giving them equipment. The originally slim Peiya looked like she had “gained weight” instantly, her body was covered with all kinds of weapons, like a walking weapons rack. Elise wasn’t any better. Wilson treated them equally, loading both of them with real gear.
Peiya also had a longbow on her back, which could be used to hunt fast animals.
“Let’s go,” Wilson said.
Before leaving, he checked their equipment again, still a bit worried. He also ordered several maids to bring along big dogs kept in cages.
These were trained hunting dogs. At critical moments, they could help their owners.
When the dogs were released, a few of them walked around Elise, sniffing her. Then some came to Peiya and sniffed her carefully as well.

“Move out.”
Wilson gave the command and brought out several horses.

After she got on the horse skillfully, Wilson relaxed a bit.

After getting off their horses, Wilson moved quietly, stepping lightly over dry branches and leaves. His eyes stayed fixed on the distance as he slowly drew his bow halfway.
With a swift motion, he released an arrow.
It flew straight toward a pheasant in the distance. With a sharp sound, the bird fell to the ground, its wings flapping weakly until it finally stopped moving.
Peiya quickly went over, checked it, and brought the pheasant back.
Wilson commented, “It’s a bit small, but enough for roasting. Kids, your turn. Remember, don’t release the bow without a target. It’s bad for the bow.”
“Got it.”
Peiya glanced at Elise and saw that her movements were quite proper. She sped up her own actions as well.
After preparing her arrows, Peiya lowered her stance. Her archery wasn’t outstanding, but she had received proper training.
Moving quietly, she raised her bow and aimed at a rabbit in the distance, pulling the string fully back.
