Chapter 52: Impulse!

Before evening self-study.

Gao Dong naturally went to sit with Pan Jie as his desk partner.

Chen Cheng, puffing her cheeks in frustration, plopped down next to An Yuan. She rested her chin on one hand and narrowed her eyes, glaring at Li Wanyi in the distance.

"She pissed you off again?" An Yuan was lazily doing his homework.

"Her chest are bigger than mine..."

He turned his head in surprise, discreetly glancing at Chen Cheng’s chest. "Why are you even comparing that with her?"

From a man's perspective, Chen Cheng's chest doesn't look large from a distance because of her loose clothing and small frame. But An Yuan, who has repeatedly made unintentional contact with her chest, knows that it's quite full, and its size is above average.

"I’m not the one comparing! She is!" Chen Cheng rolled her eyes. "She’s crazy, kept insisting I was insecure."

"Oh, so you ran into her at the dorm this afternoon?"

"She’s so messy in the dorm. The water she soaks her laundry in is black, and her bed smells sour. God knows how long it’s been since she last changed her sheets."

Chen Cheng exaggerated while badmouthing Li Wanyi.

Honestly, she had no idea where that weird sour smell came from. Dorms always had strange odors for no reason.

"Yeah, she’s always been messy."

"Always?"

Chen Cheng squinted at An Yuan, suddenly remembering that this guy’s fiancée was Li Wanyi. That realization made her even more annoyed. She clicked her tongue, then slumped onto the desk.

That evening, the English teacher was in charge of self-study.

She was kind and beautiful, and usually, she wouldn’t turn self-study into an actual English class. But she did have one bad habit, smiling sweetly while randomly calling students up to recite vocabulary and grammar rules.

There were no punishments like extra writing assignments, but it still made Chen Cheng’s heart race every time.

The moment she saw the English teacher, she immediately shrank into her seat, making herself as small as possible. She hid behind the student in front of her, avoiding eye contact with the teacher, terrified that even a glance would get her called up.

English? Ever since passing her college English Level 4 exam, the only time she ever used English was in online games, yelling noob at teammates. At this point, her brain was just filled with curse words and gaming terms.

An Yuan, on the other hand, wasn’t worried at all. His past job required him to occasionally communicate with foreigners, so at least his spoken English was fine.

At some point, his elbow almost bumped into Chen Cheng’s face.

She had her cheek pressed against the cold desk and watched as his arm moved closer. Her nose twitched, and she frowned slightly.

The first thing she smelled was the faint scent of freshly washed clothes, mixed with a bit of sunshine and a not-unpleasant hint of sweat.

When she leaned in just a little more, she could feel the warmth radiating from An Yuan’s skin. The scent of his body heat mixed with his natural skin scent. Warm, calming, and oddly reassuring.

A sudden urge hit her.

She wanted to pounce on An Yuan and take a deep whiff, like sniffing a cat.

She even had this crazy thought, she wanted to bite him.

Where was this impulse even coming from?!

An Yuan, completely unaware that Chen Cheng was practically drooling over his arm, casually asked, "Aren’t you doing your homework?"

"Already finished."

"That fast?" He absentmindedly rolled up his sleeves before setting his arm back down.

Chen Cheng’s eyes lit up.

Now there was nothing covering An Yuan’s forearm. His skin revealed clear, toned muscles that flexed slightly with his movements.

Like a total creep, she took a deep inhale.

I wanna bite it… eat it…

She swallowed hard, suddenly realizing how insane she was acting.

"Huh?"

An Yuan felt a cool sensation on his arm. He looked down, only to see Chen Cheng’s nose pressed against him, her eyes half-lidded in a daze as she kept sniffing away.

"...Are you insane?"

"RAWR!"

"WHAT—?!" An Yuan yelped in pain, jumping up from his seat. The entire class turned to stare. Flustered, he quickly sat back down and hissed at Chen Cheng in a hushed voice, "Are you out of your mind?! Why the hell did you bite me?! Are you a damn dog?!"

"Fine! Woof woof!"

“Damn it! You’re crazy! Don’t start now, wait until after school.”

Chen Cheng’s face turned bright red as she buried it in her arms, leaving only one eye peeking out. She secretly watched An Yuan, who was cursing under his breath while wiping her saliva off his arm.

A bit salty…

Wait, am I actually a little crazy?

Thinking back, when she had a cat, she used to hold it tight, take a big sniff, and then lightly nibble its ear just to see it squirm in her arms.

An Yuan just brushed it off as one of her pranks. She hadn’t bitten hard enough to leave a mark, and it didn’t really hurt, but the surprise definitely freaked him out.

“You just wait!” he was glaring at her.

Chen Cheng suddenly covered her face with both hands.

“What now?”

“N-Nothing…”

She had just realized. An Yuan looked so cool when he was mad! Damn!

Had her brain already been completely overtaken by those thoughts? No wonder she wasn’t feeling grossed out anymore.

Ugh, why did she lose her mind last night and decide to "reward herself" with a solo game? What’s worse, her body hadn’t even gone into post-pleasure regret mode. Her brain actually liked it...

No! If this keeps up, she might actually start liking An Yuan because of hormones!

She won’t be fooled by hormones! Brain, snap out of it!

Chen Cheng rubbed her face vigorously, making her skin turn red, trying to calm herself down.

She let out a deep sigh, turned her head away, and faced An Yuan with the back of her head.

"If you’ve got nothing better to do, go study." An Yuan had already cooled down. Messing around like this between friends was normal. "Stop bothering me while I’m doing my homework."

"Like I care about you!"

Chen Cheng quickly quieted down, and An Yuan enjoyed the peace.

Their English teacher wasn’t too strict, so at first, the classroom was quiet. But slowly, chatter started to bubble up. The low murmur of conversations blended together, making the whole room buzz.

“Teacher! I need to go to the restroom!”

“Come back quickly!”

“Teacher, me too!”

“Teacher…”

An Yuan glanced up. “Bet they’re going to smoke. The restroom always smells like cigarettes afterward.”

The school had strict rules against smoking, but no matter how strict, some students were hooked. They saw smoking as some kind of cool, mature thing to do.

“An Yuan…”

“Hm?”

An Yuan turned his head and saw Chen Cheng holding her stomach with both hands, her face pale and eyebrows furrowed. Just moments ago, she had looked fine, now she seemed sickly.

“I think I ate something bad… I need to go to the restroom too.” She looked up at him pitifully. “I feel awful. Nauseous.”

“……”

Seeing her drained and weak expression, An Yuan took a deep breath and stayed silent for a few seconds.

“What did you eat today?”

“I had instant noodles for lunch, bread for dinner… Oh, and I ate a little from the cafeteria at noon, but it tasted weird, so I stopped.” Chen Cheng noticed An Yuan’s face darkening and quickly tugged on his sleeve, whispering excitedly, “Are we about to do something big?”

“Should we report it first? Call the health department?” Then she hesitated, doubting herself. “I mean, it might not even be the cafeteria’s fault. Maybe it's just the cold since the weather’s colder?”

“If reporting worked, would this still be happening?!” An Yuan slammed the desk, standing up. “Everyone with a stomachache today, did you all eat at the cafeteria?!”

The classroom fell silent for a moment. Then, chaos erupted.

“I had diarrhea this afternoon…”

“Me too! I even threw up earlier!”

“Wait, you guys actually ate the spoiled food from the cafeteria?!”

“Screw this! Who’s coming with me to storm the cafeteria?!”

Having already led a cafeteria protest in his past life, An Yuan raised his fist. The long-held resentment against the school cafeteria burst out at once, and the students cheered in agreement.

Chen Cheng watched as An Yuan stood tall on his chair, full of righteous fury.

My brother is so cool~ Hehe~
