Chapter 58: Homeroom Teacher

To be honest, Li Mu had gotten somewhat used to being around Yu Fan.

Even though they often messed with each other and joked around, and Yu Fan was a bit too friendly because he thought they were "brothers who had been through life and death together," it was still really comfortable to hang out with him.

The next morning, Li Mu arrived at school in Yu Fan’s scooter.

He looked a little nervous and quietly mumbled to himself, “Don’t randomly control my body.”

Li Mu had tried it before. When Xiao Jing controlled his body, just like when Lin Xi had done it, if he resisted, he could break free easily. But doing that would make him look really weird.

“Ugh!” he made a sound, talking to himself again.

Xiao Jing, who hadn’t come out of the mirror for a long time, was really excited.

After trying many times last night, she had finally managed to get inside Li Mu’s body, even though the way to say it sounded kind of dirty.

Li Mu didn’t blame her. After all, Lin Xi was already in his body, and normally a person should only be able to hold one ghost inside.

What he couldn’t understand was why Lin Xi never showed herself or said anything, only helping him at important moments.

“Lin Xi didn’t teach you any weird stuff, right?” Li Mu asked worriedly, afraid that the pervy woman might’ve influenced his "little sister" the wrong way.

“No, she’s very nice! But she never talks,” Xiao Jing replied.

As she spoke through Li Mu’s mouth, his already soft and neutral voice suddenly sounded just like a girl’s.

This self-talk made him look very strange, and the students passing by gave him weird looks, like they thought he was crazy.

After entering the classroom with Yu Fan, Li Mu finally stopped talking to Xiao Jing. He laid his head on the desk, yawning sleepily.

Being possessed by a ghost didn’t feel good. He always dreamed about some of Xiao Jing’s memories, and even though he couldn’t remember the details the next day, it messed up his sleep.

It felt just like when Lin Xi had first moved into his body.

Maybe that’s why Li Mingjuan thought he had killed someone.

Classes in vocational school weren’t very hard. Even though Li Mu had missed a lot of school before because of his family issues, the fast-paced lessons this semester helped him catch up with the class.

But now, worrying about his body and what was happening, he couldn’t focus on studying at all.

“Li Mu's looking a lot more attractive than he was last week.”

“He’s even more handsome than Yu Fan.”

“He’s just a sissy. Why do girls like this kind of guy nowadays?”

Since school resumed after the National Day holiday, Li Mu had sometimes heard these kinds of comments in class. But he was naturally quiet and didn’t bother to respond.

Still, it definitely made him feel uncomfortable.

If Chen Yi couldn’t help him, maybe he’d need to find a more powerful shaman?

Or maybe find his parents. If they could seal Xiao Jing’s ghost into the mirror, then maybe they could pull Lin Xi out of his body too.

Xiao Jing also wanted to find their parents, even if that might cause her to disappear...

“Li Mu, are you really going to sing?” Wu Lei, sitting nearby, asked in a curious voice while the teacher was turned around writing on the board.

“Yeah.”

“You’ve changed… not just your looks, but your personality too.”

Wu Lei had only known Li Mu for about a month, but since they saw each other every day at school, he had gotten to know him a little.

Li Mu quietly shook his head and didn’t answer.

But inside, he started feeling a bit confused.

If this had been two weeks ago, even if he wanted to help Xiao Jing’s dream of being on stage, he wouldn’t have agreed so quickly.

Most likely, he would’ve acted shy and unsure, just like when he had to wear women’s clothes for the first time, thinking about it for a long time before finally giving in after Yu Fan pushed him hard enough.

Did he just stop caring about his dignity after that cross-dressing thing?

The class ended.

The Chinese teacher was also Li Mu’s homeroom teacher. He looked to be in his early thirties, a strong-looking man named Yang Ye, nicknamed "Boss."

For the past two years in the graphic design class, Yang Ye had also been Li Mu’s homeroom teacher, and now, just like Li Mu, he had moved to the Spring Exam Prep Class.

He wasn’t the type to drag on after the bell. As soon as the bell rang, he put down his chalk and said, “Alright, class is over!”

With that, the classroom suddenly filled with noise and chatter.

Yang Ye gathered up the teaching materials from the desk, stepped down from the platform, and walked straight over to Li Mu.

“Come with me to the office.”

Li Mu looked up, confused. He didn’t understand what he had done wrong.

He had been behaving himself lately. Besides his strange connection with a few ghosts, he hadn’t done anything bad at school… right?

Was it because he hadn’t been going to evening study sessions?

Or maybe it was because the security cameras caught him climbing over the school wall twice?

As all these worries ran through his head, Li Mu quietly followed his teacher to the office building in the center of the school.

Mr. Yang also worked part-time in the Academic Affairs Office, so when they arrived, Li Mu saw a few students being punished by standing, and a bald, chubby director scolding them non-stop.

He listened for a moment and found out those students had been caught smoking in the dorm last night and accidentally set a trash can in the hallway on fire.

What a mess.

Yang Ye led Li Mu to his desk and casually pulled over a chair for him. “Sit.”

His face looked a little worried as he asked, “Has something happened lately?”

“???”

“Did you break up with someone? You’ve looked off in class for the past two weeks.”

Oh, so it’s that.

Li Mu felt relieved. Since it wasn’t something serious, he sat down in the chair and felt more relaxed. He replied, “No, it’s just some stuff going on at home.”

“Here, have a banana.” Yang Ye pulled one from a fruit plate and handed it to him. Then he said with concern, “Why is something always happening at your home? There’s not much time left before the Spring Exams. Don’t mess it up like the high school entrance exam...”

The teacher knew about Li Mu’s background. After all, he had taught him for two years.

“Yeah, I’ll be fine,” Li Mu said, taking the banana, though he didn’t eat it, he just nodded.

Yang Ye let out a sigh. This student really made him worry.

Li Mu had always been a bit cold and quiet, but after getting to know him, Yang Ye realized he was just someone who acted cold on the outside but cared on the inside. Still, it had already been over a month since the new term started, and he hadn’t made any new friends. He still acted like an outsider in class.

And now... Yang Ye wasn’t sure what happened, but Li Mu had even started dressing more and more like a girl.

Yang Ye tried hard to give some advice. “Even if you can’t get into a top university through the Spring Exams, you can still aim for a good college with a strong learning environment. That way you’ll have a better chance to upgrade to a full university later... Just don’t get distracted by outside stuff right now...”

Li Mu nodded while letting the words go in one ear and out the other.

The teacher was great in every way, except that ever since taking over the Spring Exam Prep class, he had gotten way too naggy.

Li Mu understood what he was saying, but come on, who wouldn’t feel distracted if their own body was slowly becoming more feminine?

Yang Ye kept talking until his throat was dry. Finally, he sipped some tea and said, “Why not come to the basketball court for the fourth class this afternoon? Even if you don’t know how to play, you can be part of the cheer squad or help buy drinks. You don’t talk to your classmates enough, it's not good for your mental health.”

At this school, the fourth class in the afternoon was usually free activity time. The dorms weren’t open then, so Yang Ye often took students to play games like badminton, basketball, or football (soccer).

But Li Mu had never joined before.

He looked at Yang Ye, hesitated for a second, then figured he should show some respect.

“Alright.”
