[Vol. 7] Chapter 57: My Dragon Girl… Shrunk?!

A week later, in the Emerald Sea, on Palut Island, inside the temporary residence of the merchant convoy.

The morning sun streamed gently through the window, casting a warm glow over the bed. It was a bright and peaceful morning.

“Boss, boss! Wake up! Her Majesty the Queen and the Princess have already arrived!”

A certain thief girl banged on the door anxiously, only to have the black-haired girl inside open it before she could knock again. With a swift but playful flick to the thief's forehead, Violet sighed as Le Qiaoqiao yelped in protest.

"I know, I know… Stop yelling. She’s still sleeping. You trying to get us kicked out first thing in the morning?"

Hearing that, the thief girl froze, eyes widening in panic. She quickly clamped both hands over her mouth, cautiously peeking inside the room. After confirming nothing had stirred, she finally leaned in and whispered.

“Uh… so what do we do, boss? Everyone’s already gathered outside, waiting. We can’t just keep them standing around forever… Maybe you could try waking her up? Boss, you’re the only one who can handle…”

Seeing how nervous Le Qiaoqiao was, Violet couldn’t help but chuckle and shake her head.

“No need to be so dramatic. She’s not some unreasonable kid.”

“Have Ming Lan count the members and keep the Queen and Princess entertained for a bit. We’ll be down soon.”

Le Qiaoqiao sighed, nodding reluctantly.

“Guess that’s our best option… But, boss, where exactly did that little girl even come from? She just popped up out of nowhere, and she’s so… uh, violent?”

“Why don’t you ask her yourself?” Violet smirked.

“Ehh… Come on, just give me a little hint~”

Violet waved a hand dismissively at the curious but hesitant girl.

“I’ll explain when the time’s right. Now go take care of things.”

“…Fine.”

As Le Qiaoqiao left, looking a little disappointed, Violet sighed with a helpless smile. Shutting the door behind her, she turned back toward the bed.

There, sprawled out on the bed without a care in the world, was a cute little girl with long, golden hair cascading like a waterfall and two small, curved horns on her head. She lay on her back, arms and legs spread wide, snoring softly without any sense of grace.

Her fair, delicate skin looked impossibly smooth, like polished jade, and her small frame, barely a meter tall, carried a faint scent of milk. It made her seem less like a living being and more like an exquisitely crafted porcelain doll.

Yet, despite her tiny and adorable appearance, there was something about her that exuded an undeniable presence. Wild, untamed, and commanding respect. Even in sleep, that aura didn't fade completely. Instead, it added a strange charm to her delicate, childish face, making her seem all the more mesmerizing.

Even though they had been together for over a week now, Violet still couldn't help but feel a mix of surprise and confusion whenever she looked at the girl. She waited for a moment before gently poking the golden-haired loli's cheek and softly calling out.

"Hehe… My dear Xiao Guang, it's time to wake up~"

"Mmm… go away… don’t bother me…"

The little girl grumbled, rolling over in protest. As she did, she kicked off the blanket, which was already hanging precariously off the edge of the bed, and covered her face with her tiny hands, as if that could somehow shield her from the cruel reality of having to wake up.

A typical childish reaction. Most of the time, she was fine, but when she was half-asleep like this, her adorably stubborn side became even more obvious.

Violet sighed. "Haah…"

She really had completely turned into a little kid. Sure, Xiao Guang had always had a bit of a childish side due to her personality, but compared to now…

Violet couldn't help but recall that moment on the Ghost Sea. When Xiao Guang unleashed that world-shaking attack, then collapsed into her arms, whispering "Master… Sorry… looks like I'm going to cause you trouble again…" before losing consciousness.

It was almost absurd to think about, but this tiny golden-haired loli was actually Xiao Guang, Violet’s number one companion.

Hmm… To be more precise, this little girl wasn’t just a simple clone of Xiao Guang. She was a fragment of her soul, a part of her being that was far more important than an ordinary duplicate. In a way, this form was closer to Xiao Guang’s true essence.

Now Violet can be sure that what the girl's so-called “evolution” was probably referring to condensing a [Divinity] specifically belonging to her, or perhaps…

She was undergoing “deification”.

Because Xiao Guang was going through a fundamental transformation in her very lifeform, her consciousness had temporarily fallen into deep sleep. Violet had no idea how her number-one pet managed to pull off such a massive feat, but after what happened on the Ghost Sea, where Xiao Guang suddenly appeared out of nowhere and obliterated everything in sight, this theory was practically confirmed.

Xiao Guang’s manifestation back then was triggered by two things.

First, through their contract, she had sensed a certain shift in Violet’s emotions and, driven by a “Who dares make my master angry?! I’ll beat them to a pulp!” instinct, she acted in retaliation.

Second, she had been drawn to something in that place, something that allowed her to materialize across dimensions, even if only for a short time.

But a Divinity wasn’t something that could just be created on a whim. Even though Xiao Guang already had an absurdly strong body and stats at level 100, comparable to the Main Gods, that didn’t change the fact that she was not truly a god.

Without a Divinity or a Divine Realm, she couldn’t possess the full privileges and traits that true gods had. Perhaps she can still fight evenly with a high-tier true god being to a considerable extent, coming and going freely, but it is indeed very difficult to win against them.

Her battle against the Demon God of Slaughter last time had made that painfully clear.

According to the “Primordial Light Creation Theory”, a god’s Divinity was born from the Primordial Light that created all things. A fundamental law of existence that was irreplaceable and indestructible.

For anyone to create a [Divinity] from scratch, by their own power, was as absurd as destroying one through sheer force. Either feat would be equivalent to replicating the miracle of the Primordial Light itself. A task so impossibly difficult that calling it “wishful thinking” would be an understatement.

The Spirit Fox Shrine Maiden, for example, had spent a thousand years painstakingly burying hundreds of dying worlds, accumulating countless karmic ties, just to finally forge the Divinity of [Reincarnation]. But even in her case, it wasn’t created from nothing—she had harnessed the lingering energy of those perished worlds to make it happen.

Just like how the Ancient Spirit Realm nurtured the Nine-Tailed Fox and the [Ancestral Dragon], even someone as incredibly talented as Dawn couldn’t create a Divinity out of thin air.

Whether through faith or nameless power, every method of becoming a god that Violet had encountered so far followed the same principle. It wasn’t about creating something from nothing, but rather about accumulating, absorbing, or seizing power that already existed in the world.

Xiao Guang’s case was no exception.

The exact source she was using to form her Divinity was still unclear, but one thing was certain, it wouldn’t be a fast process. However, the Ghost Ship, a calamity born from the remains and lingering resentment of the [God of the Azure Sea and Truth], contained fragments of that god’s scattered Divinity.

When the Great Evil God Octavier destroyed the Ghost Ship, all of its core energies were released, including that ownerless Divinity essence. To Xiao Guang, who was in the middle of forging her own Divinity, this was like having a lavish feast placed right in front of a starving person.

And so, without hesitation, she reached through their contract, devoured everything, and took it all for herself.

This was a purely instinctual act. That earth-shattering breath attack she unleashed, one that pierced through the depths of the sea, wasn’t just her subconscious revenge against Violet’s enemies. It was also part of the purification process, refining the Divinity fragments while burning away the countless impurities within them.

As unbelievable as it sounded, Xiao Guang had actually succeeded. She had brutally incinerated all the twisted, corrupting filth, even forcibly stripping away the Truth aspect of the original divine law, turning it into something purer, closer to faith essence and [Origin Power], the fundamental energy that makes up a god’s existence.

Even Violet couldn’t do that. While her light was pure and untainted, it wasn’t as overwhelming as Xiao Guang’s sheer domination. And now, with Xiao Guang’s unknown evolution, this trait of hers had become even more pronounced, forming into something akin to divine authority.

After absorbing a massive amount of [Origin Power], Xiao Guang finally merged it with her own strength, creating the first prototype of her Divinity. Naturally, this also meant she had to reform her physical body...

And that resulted in the golden-haired little girl sleeping right in front of Violet.
