[Vol. 7] Chapter 58: My God, This Is a Treasure of the World!
As for why Xiao Guang’s newly formed Divinity took on the form of a little girl, the reason was actually quite simple.
A newly formed Divinity is like a newborn baby. Fragile, confused, and completely unaware of the world around it. It needs to absorb more [Origin Power] and gradually refine itself over time.
Even though this little girl was technically an extension of Xiao Guang’s consciousness, a body she was controlling, her real body was still in a deep sleep, evolving. Because her soul wasn’t yet fully synchronized with this new form, and due to the unique nature of the newly born Divinity, this child was like a freshly hatched version of Xiao Guang, with little memories of her past self, only the most basic instincts of a young dragon.
Perhaps only when this Divinity fully stabilizes and Xiao Guang’s separated soul reunites with her main body will her evolution be truly complete. But that will likely be a long process, especially if no external forces accelerate it.
Situations like what happened with the Ghost Ship, where she devoured a massive amount of [Origin Power] in one go, are almost impossible under normal circumstances.
After all, gods are immortal. Their Divinities are like indestructible legendary weapons, impossible to destroy or revert back to their original state. It's not like you can just pour out the [Origin Power] stored inside them as if they were liquid in a container.
So far, the [God of the Azure Sea and Truth] is the only god Violet knows who has truly died and had their Divinity shattered. Their absolute death was the result of multiple unpredictable factors stacking up, unlike those gods who vanished after leaving the world to fight in the [Divine Catastrophe]. Instead of disappearing without a trace, this god left everything behind in this world.
To be honest, even if someone knew every detail of how that god died, trying to replicate the event would be nearly impossible. That’s because the concept of [End of Everything] cannot be preserved or recorded in any form, making it impossible to study or replicate. Unless one possesses a unique power like "Truth", most gods wouldn't even be able to interact with such a force from a distance.
Even if we assume the Ghost Ship contained a portion of Divinity essence, it was still highly contaminated, a deadly mix of corrupting poison. It’s unlikely that any other god could do what Xiao Guang did, burning away all the impurities and extracting only the useful essence.
In short, if she wanted to obtain more [Origin Power] to help Xiao Guang continue her evolution, it definitely won’t be as easy as it was the first time.
Hmm... I wonder if the God of Truth left behind any more fragments. Maybe I should find a way to search for them later? Otherwise, at Xiao Guang's current evolution speed, who knows how long this is going to take...
With that thought, the priestess didn’t hesitate any longer. She reached out, grabbed the golden-haired little girl by the scruff of her neck, and lifted her off the bed like a kitten.
Even though Xiao Guang’s main body in human form stood at over 1.7 meters, nearly a head taller than Violet, this newly formed Divinity version was barely 1.2 meters tall. Small, delicate, with thin arms and legs. Even the priestess, who wasn’t particularly tall herself, could now look down at her with ease. Rather than calling her a loli, "little girl" might be a more accurate description.
The height difference from before had completely flipped.
Thinking about that, Violet couldn’t help but feel a little smug.
She casually set the golden-haired little girl down on the floor and patted her soft, flawless cheek, which still looked sleepy and dazed. Speaking gently, like coaxing a child, she said,
“Dear, wake up now. Today’s the day we leave the Eastern Sea Pearl. You need to get up and join the farewell ceremony.”
Standing barefoot on the ground, her smooth, jade-like little feet barely making a sound, the tiny dragon girl blinked sleepily. Still half-asleep, she instinctively snuggled into the black-haired girl’s arms, her voice soft and whiny.
“Mmm… Master, does it really matter whether I go or not...?”
As she absentmindedly stroked the little girl’s silky golden hair, Violet let out a helpless chuckle.
"What do you mean it doesn’t matter...? We’ve lived on this island for so long and been through a lot together. It’s only right to say goodbye to the Queen and the others, don’t you think? If you’re really that sleepy, you can take a nap later on the ship, okay?"
Even though she looked like a little kid, the newly reborn dragon girl seemed to be more understanding than before. She quickly stopped clinging to her master and nodded.
"Since Master says so, alright then..."
"That’s a good girl. Now go wash your face and change into some clean clothes. I’ve taught you enough times already. You don’t need my help, do you?"
"Mhm~!"
Violet watched as Xiao Guang ran off barefoot, the soft patter of her little feet echoing as she dashed into the bathroom. Soon after, the sound of running water filled the room. Sitting on the bed, the black-haired girl shook her head, feeling both amused and a little exasperated.
Just like she had thought, since this little loli was essentially a part of Xiao Guang’s soul, separated during her slumber and fused with the consciousness formed by her newly awakened Divinity, she was fundamentally the same as the original Xiao Guang, except for one major difference, she had little memories.
She didn’t understand anything. She didn’t know anything. Violet had to teach her everything from scratch, even something as simple as eating and dressing properly. On top of that, she was extremely wary of everyone except Violet, rejecting any kind of interaction with others. At first, she would even throw punches at anyone she didn’t like without warning.
Most children weren’t nearly as dangerous as she was...
But maybe because she was more impressionable as a newborn, or perhaps because of her instinctive trust in Violet, the little dragon girl learned incredibly fast. Almost everything Violet tried to teach her, she picked up quickly, memorized, and made her own.
At least compared to when she first met Le Qiaoqiao, when she almost sent her flying into the stars with a small paw just because she was curious and wanted to touch the dragon horns on her head, Xiao Guang now no longer attacks others casually.
Now, she no longer attacked people at random. She knew how to control her strength, understanding the difference between "someone I can kill" and "someone I shouldn’t kill."
Of course, the fact that many people had already witnessed her terrifying dragon power firsthand probably also played a big role in why no one dared to provoke this short-tempered little loli anymore.
"Sigh… Xiao Guang, that girl… she really doesn’t make a move unless it’s a big one, huh?" Violet muttered to herself. "I was looking forward to reuniting with my partner, but who would’ve thought it would be in this way…"
As her mind swirled in a storm of thoughts, the bathroom door suddenly slammed open with a loud ‘clang’, making way for a certain barefoot, golden-haired little girl to come bounding out excitedly.
"Master, Master! I’m done! How do I look?!"
Hearing the clear, sweet voice, Violet instinctively looked up.
Xiao Guang’s long golden hair, which usually fell loosely down to her waist, was now neatly combed and tied at the end in a simple yet skillfully done ponytail. Her soft, chubby cheeks, freshly washed, looked even smoother and more radiant, almost begging to be pinched just to feel their softness.
Her usual loose, white pajamas had been replaced with a custom-made black-and-white Lolita dress, tailored perfectly to her size. Her fair arms and legs peeked out from the fabric, looking as delicate as porcelain.
Around her bare ankles, tiny bell-like ornaments jingled softly with every step. Not loud enough to be annoying, but just enough to add a charming rhythm to her movements.
She tilted her head up, revealing stunning golden pupils, A feature that contrasted with her innocent, childlike face and gave her a subtle, majestic presence.
Atop her head, two tiny dragon horns, barely big enough to wrap a hand around, had just started to grow. They looked more like decorative accessories than anything truly fearsome. And as for her small dragon tail, it was so well-hidden under her dress that not even a trace of it could be seen.
Goodness… She's like a one-of-a-kind treasure in this world.
The thought alone made it almost impossible for Violet to hide the grin spreading across her face. Without hesitation, she stood up and walked straight over to the little dragon girl, who was proudly showing off her outfit with outstretched arms.
"Hmph, my Xiao Guang is the cutest in the world! Absolutely~ perfect! Let me hug you again~"
