Chapter 114: Dorm Drama
That evening, when they got back to the dorm, Liu Menglong had already gone to an internet café, just as expected.
Li Mu quietly returned to his seat, and soon after, Yu Fan came happily bouncing in through the door.
“Yu Fan, are you here to hang out or…?” Zhao Pan asked curiously.
“I’m staying here for a few days. Hope that’s okay?”
Before Zhao Pan could answer, Chen Zhihao joked, “What, are you addicted to sleeping with Li Mu now?”
“......”
Yu Fan did admit that Li Mu’s body was soft and he always smelled nice, but the problem was the dorm beds were too small. Any slight movement and they’d end up touching, which made it hard to sleep.
Luckily, Liu Menglong wasn’t around tonight. Yu Fan had even sent him a message and gotten his okay to sleep in his bed. So tonight, he could sleep there alone.
But… for some reason, he felt a little strangely disappointed about that.
Yu Fan sat in Liu Menglong’s chair and glanced carefully at Wang Chen, who was playing on his phone. Then he turned to look at Li Mu, whose back now made it almost impossible to tell if he was a guy or a girl.
Wang Chen didn’t seem to be doing anything.
Maybe it really was just a joke? Something gross to get revenge and mess with Li Mu?
Just then, Wang Chen opened his drawer, pulled out a bag of spicy fish skin snacks, and tossed it onto Li Mu’s desk.
Li Mu looked up in confusion, only to see Wang Chen smiling warmly.
“I bought this just for you.”
“I don’t want it.” Li Mu’s body shook slightly, and he quickly threw the snack bag back.
Before, he could eat Wang Chen’s snacks without a second thought. But now, he didn’t dare take even one bite.
“Then what about a late-night meal? My treat?”
“No, no thanks.”
Li Mu shook his head quickly, stood up, opened the wardrobe, took out the clothes he planned to wear the next day, grabbed his toiletries, and rushed out of the dorm.
After he left, Yu Fan turned to Wang Chen and snapped, “Are you nuts or something?”
“What? I just offered a dorm mate some snacks and a meal. What’s wrong with that?” Wang Chen asked, looking back at him.
“You…” Yu Fan was stuck for a second. He had a point, technically, there was nothing wrong with what he said.
But Yu Fan still frowned and asked, “What are you really trying to do?”
The air in the dorm instantly felt tense. Zhao Pan quickly turned off the sound on his TikTok app and nervously lowered his head, not daring to speak.
Chen Zhihao sighed, stood up, and tried to ease the tension. “Come on, we’re all classmates. Why make things so awkward?”
He looked between the two of them, scratched his head, and asked, “What even happened? Last time Yu Fan came here, didn’t you two say you were going to sleep in the same bed?”
“Ask him,” Yu Fan said, crossing his arms and clearly annoyed.
Chen Zhihao rarely saw Yu Fan like this. Normally, he was cheerful and easy-going.
As for Wang Chen, well, he was known for having a bad temper, so getting into a fight wasn’t surprising.
So Chen Zhihao turned to Wang Chen with a questioning look.
“Nothing much,” Wang Chen shrugged. “I just want to date Li Mu. Is that a problem?”
“No—wait, what?!” Chen Zhihao’s eyes widened. “You want to date Li Mu?!”
He took a few steps forward, grabbed Wang Chen’s shoulders, and shook him hard.
“Wang Chen! Are you out of your mind? Did you work out so much that you knocked your brain loose?! You can’t just give up on life like this!”
The other roommates were all shocked. They didn’t expect Wang Chen to be so… open about it.
Wang Chen, dizzy from the shaking, quickly stopped Chen Zhihao and then added, “I just don’t get it. Li Mu hasn’t said anything, so why are you so worked up, Yu Fan?”
Then he gave a teasing smile and said, “Wait… could it be that you like Li Mu too?”
“Ohhhhhh!!” All the guys in the dorm let out surprised shouts at the same time.
Maybe they just thought the drama was too interesting to miss.
Yu Fan’s face turned dark. “He’s my brother!”
“Doesn’t look like it,” Wang Chen replied.
“What does it matter to you?!” Yu Fan suddenly seemed to realize something. “You’re not just trying to mess with Li Mu. You're trying to ruin both our reputations too, aren’t you?!”
If Wang Chen just liked Li Mu’s body, then his behavior didn’t make sense.
Back when he first saw Li Mu in girl’s clothes, he had fallen for him at first sight and seemed like he was ready to give his whole heart. But now, his actions felt more like teasing on purpose.
Wang Chen didn’t deny it. He crossed his legs, gave Yu Fan a defiant look, and raised an eyebrow.
This Yu Fan was clearly on Li Mu’s side!
While the tension in the room was rising, Li Mu had already finished his shower and came back carrying a basin full of dirty clothes.
As he stepped into the dorm, he could sense that the atmosphere was off. But after glancing at both Yu Fan and Wang Chen, who were just sitting there and not fighting, he felt a bit disappointed.
What a pity.
Then he realized that everyone’s eyes were focused on his chest. Looking down, he saw that his thin T-shirt couldn’t hide the obvious curves that were growing more noticeable.
He walked past everyone without expression, grabbed a jacket, and quickly put it on. Only then did he breathe a sigh of relief and start drying his hair with a towel.
The dorm, which was tense just moments ago, suddenly went quiet. All that could be heard was the sound of Li Mu’s hair dryer.
Observing where Li Mu's roommates were looking, Yu Fan's eyes involuntarily settled on her nicely rounded backside in her jeans.
He stood up, walked over to Li Mu’s side, and whispered, “You should just move out.”
“Move out? Why?” Li Mu looked at him sideways.
“Don’t you think… living in the dorm is kind of dangerous?”
Li Mu looked around the room and laughed coldly. “It’s just a bunch of virgins. What could they possibly do?”
“......”
“You didn’t even dare do anything when we slept in the same bed. You think they will?”
…Did he call him a coward?
Yu Fan felt like there was something strange hidden in Li Mu’s tone.
Once his hair was half-dry, Li Mu unplugged the dryer, put it away in the drawer, and yawned, clearly starting to feel sleepy.
Still, Yu Fan stayed by his side and whispered again, “I think you should be more careful in the dorm.”
“I am already careful.”
He climbed into bed fully dressed, jacket and all.
Only after getting under the blanket did he take off the jacket, fold it, and place it by his pillow.
He really was careful.
If the shower stall hadn’t been so small, making it hard to wear a jacket, he wouldn’t have come back in just a T-shirt in the first place.
Yu Fan rubbed his temples in frustration, then climbed the ladder and sat on Li Mu’s bed.
Just as Li Mu picked up his phone and saw Yu Fan coming up, he raised his leg to kick him off.
“Wait!”
Since Yu Fan had already "dirtied" the blanket anyway, Li Mu slowly lowered his leg and looked at him with confusion.
“My family has an extra room nearby,” Yu Fan said, sounding like some shady guy trying to lure a kid. “You could live there instead? For free.”
“You’re being this nice?” Li Mu suddenly looked suspicious.
