Chapter 138: At School
“I finally have a body now, so why don’t you let me go to school with you?”
“Or at least let me stay at home by myself. I don’t need to eat, and I can help with chores. I’ll just play on the computer.”
“Hey, sister? Sister?”
Yu Fan, who was walking in front, turned back helplessly and said, “Stop it, we’re at school now.”
Right away, Xiao Jing’s mind was pushed out by Li Mu, who opened his eyes and said, “I just closed my eyes for a moment. Don’t move my body like that.”

Li Mu and Yu Fan walked side by side into the school, and just then, they saw Yang Ye standing by the security booth, arms crossed, doing his job.
Today, the one in charge of checking students was their homeroom teacher, Yang Ye. He was strict about catching late students and those not wearing their school badges.
Li Mu quickly stepped back and hid behind Yu Fan, lowering his head and trying to walk past quietly.
But then, someone grabbed his arm.
Yang Ye had one hand holding Li Mu and the other holding Yu Fan, laughed out of anger. “You two! Did I say you could take a day off yesterday? You’re skipping school!”
Li Mu said nothing. Yu Fan gave a cheeky smile and pulled out a freshly bought egg burger from his backpack, handing it to Yang Ye.
“No outside food allowed at school! Can’t you eat breakfast in the cafeteria?” Yang Ye scolded as he took the burger. “You two are getting worse and worse!”
“Come on, Teacher, we really had something important yesterday.”
“What kind of emergency makes you both ask for leave at the same time?” Yang Ye raised an eyebrow. “Did you take Li Mu to meet your parents?”
“......”
Li Mu looked up at him with a blank face.
Yang Ye was so mad he laughed again. He pointed at Li Mu’s forehead and said, “Still staring at me? Look at you! The entrance exam is in less than two months!”
Li Mu took a step back as his forehead was poked hard. He turned his head away and said, “It was an emergency.”
Even though his face looked calm, his voice sounded full of frustration.
With the slight blush on his cheeks, Yang Ye believed him right away.
Yang Ye paused, then looked at Yu Fan. “You stay here and stand until class starts. Li Mu, go to your class.”
“???” Yu Fan stood there, confused.
Li Mu nodded, still not knowing why the teacher suddenly let him go.
He glanced at Yu Fan, then walked toward the classroom.
Yu Fan was still puzzled, but as he watched Li Mu walk away, he suddenly noticed Li Mu’s chest seemed a little fuller than before.
He wanted to ask, but felt it would sound too pervert.
“Stop staring! He’s gone!” Yang Ye slapped his shoulder and joked, “The way you’re looking at Li Mu, people might think you’re gay.”
Usually, when someone said that, either Yu Fan or Li Mu would quickly talk back. But this time, Yu Fan just quietly stood to the side and said nothing.
Yang Ye was stunned. “No way… really?”
Yu Fan still didn’t answer. He just sighed softly.
When will Li Mu finally accept that he is a girl?
Letting him stay in the boys’ dorm just feels wrong.
What if some gay guy likes him and tries to steal Li Mu from him?
Yang Ye saw him deep in thought and didn’t know what to say. In the end, he just patted Yu Fan’s shoulder.
He had to admit, Li Mu really was very pretty. Even the girls in the class next door weren’t as pretty.

Meanwhile, Li Mu had already returned to class.
The weather suddenly got hot again. Just a few days ago it was only a little over 20 degrees, but today it reached 30.
Most of the classmates were wearing short-sleeved shirts and shorts. Even though it was already November, it felt like summer.
But Li Mu was dressed even more heavily. His light jacket had become a padded coat. Even just sitting still, sweat was already forming on his forehead and the back of his neck.

As the sun got stronger, the temperature kept rising. Li Mu lay weakly on his desk, feeling dizzy from the heat.
Wu Lei was memorizing English nearby. When he saw Li Mu like this, he asked curiously, “Why are you wearing a coat on such a hot day?”
“I get cold easily.”
“It’s already 30 degrees! And you're dressed even more warmly than last week!”
“......” Li Mu picked up a book and ignored him.
During this season, no one really cared about what others wore.
On the streets, you could see people in T-shirts, some in jackets, and even a few wearing thick coats. No one could say who was right or wrong.
He looked down at his chest and felt really uncomfortable.
He had asked Xiao Jing to help him put it on this morning. It wasn’t because he was afraid of sagging or anything like that. But if he didn’t wear it, any big movement would make things bounce up and down, and that felt really uncomfortable.
Still, wearing it was hard to get used to.
As for why he was wearing such thick and covering clothes, it's because his chest was just too big now, his regular jacket really couldn't hide it.
Right before class started, Yu Fan happily came into the room.
As soon as he arrived, he dragged Li Mu out to the hallway.
“What is it?” Li Mu leaned against the railing and looked down at the students running towards the school building.
“You’re carrying Xiao Jing with you, right? So what about her body?”
“It’s in my room. I’ll go back Friday. It shouldn’t start smelling by then.”
“......” Yu Fan scratched his head. “Didn’t you say your cousin is staying at your house?”
Li Mu looked up and pouted. “If he’s nosy enough to go into my room, that’s his fault.”
Li Mu let out a sigh. “You pulled me out just to ask that?”
Yu Fan clearly felt that Li Mu’s attitude toward him was colder than before, like he was trying to keep some distance.
It made him feel a bit uncomfortable, but he could understand why. If a close friend liked him that way, he might also try to stay away.
After a short pause, he reminded him, “Be careful in the dorm.”
“I know.”
Li Mu saw Yang Ye walking from the sports field toward the school building. He suddenly said, “Oh right, I need to talk to the homeroom teacher. Can you tell the teacher I’ll be late?”

Without explaining, he went downstairs.
His ID had already been updated to show he was female, but there was still one important thing left to do.
He needed to change the gender in his school records.
If he didn’t, he might be kicked out of the exam room one day for entering with the wrong gender.
Also, if the school records weren’t updated, these three years at vocational school would basically be wasted. Even the certificates he got before might all become invalid.
He went to the school’s academic office.
Peeking inside and seeing Yang Ye, he knocked on the door.
Yang Ye was working. Without looking up, he said, “Come in.”
Then he saw a card land on his desk.
He looked up and saw it was Li Mu. “Why aren’t you in class? What are you doing here?”
Li Mu didn’t answer.
Yang Ye picked up the card and looked at it.
He froze. “What?”
Yang Ye was completely confused. “You’re a girl?”
“Mm.” Li Mu lowered his head a bit, hiding the blush on his face.
“No way… I’ve seen your ID before too.” Yang Ye was totally lost. “What’s going on?”
“I need help changing the gender on my school record. I’ll also need to update my exam info…”
