Chapter 2: Turns Out It’s My Bro
“Mmm~ So that’s what it was.”
Scratching the back of her head, Lin Muqing smiled and drank a cup of warm water, thinking to herself that she had worried for nothing.
“Haha~ I wasn’t planning to have you help welcome the new store manager, but since you’re already here, you might as well join us.”
Yu Qiu smiled, patted Muqing’s head, then stood up and walked toward the changing room, carrying a package in her hand too.
“Okay!”
Muqing nodded and poured herself another glass of water. After running all the way here, her body was still feeling the effects.
A moment later, the door to the break room’s changing area opened again, and Yu Qiu stepped out once more. This time, wearing a maid outfit.
With her great figure and strong “big sister” vibe, if there were ranks, Yu Qiu would definitely be the “head maid.”
“You look so pretty, Sister.”
Seeing Yu Qiu walk out, Muqing couldn’t help but softly praise her. After all, who wouldn’t like a kind and beautiful big sister like her?
“You’re such a sweet talker. Hurry up and get changed.” Yu Qiu smiled and lightly tapped Muqing’s little nose.

Muqing rubbed her nose, it tickled a little. Then put down her water cup, stood up, picked up her package, and pushed open the changing room door.
She wasn’t surprised to see Yu Qiu in a maid outfit. After all, the cafe’s theme was a “maid cafe,” so she also had to change into the same outfit.
Before long, a cute little maid appeared in the break room.

When Muqing stepped out, everyone had already finished their prep work and were waiting for the new store manager to arrive.
“Muqing is extra cute today, as expected from our cafe’s star maid.” Yu Qiu stood nearby and smiled as she spoke.

Hearing that made Muqing’s face turn red again, and she quickly tried to deny it.
But the other maids in the cafe didn’t give her a chance. They all joined in teasing her. It seemed to be a fun and common scene.
Everyone just loved seeing how shy and flustered Muqing looked.
While everyone in the cafe was still chatting and interacting, a car stopped outside the maid cafe. A moment later, the car door slowly opened, and a young figure stepped out.
“Ahem, get ready, this is our new store manager,” Yu Qiu said. As soon as she saw the car, the playful smile on her face disappeared.
In its place was a calm and mature expression. She quietly looked around to make sure everyone was ready, then walked forward and opened the cafe’s front door.
To welcome the new store manager, the cafe had delayed its opening today, and a sign saying “Not Open Yet” was hanging outside.
As the temporary store manager, Yu Qiu personally went outside to greet the newcomer. The rest of the staff stayed inside and waited.
From Lin Muqing’s point of view, when she saw the person stepping out of the car, she felt a strange sense of familiarity. But someone was blocking her view, so she couldn’t see clearly.
A moment later, Yu Qiu walked in with the new store manager. “Let’s all welcome our new manager,” she announced.
Everyone clapped at once to show their welcome, while also stretching their necks to see what kind of person the new manager was.
Only then did Lin Muqing finally get a good look at him.
The newcomer was wearing casual clothes. He was tall, probably over 180 cm, and had a handsome face with no expression. He gave off a cool and distant vibe. At first glance, he looked like one of those cold, handsome guys.
But on the second look, wait a second, wasn’t that… her seatmate for the past year, Ye Ziming?!
Muqing gasped sharply. The air felt so pure and strong it almost went straight to her brain. For a moment, she thought her blood pressure was going to spike, and she might just faint right there.
“Starting today…” the new store manager began his introduction. He kept it short and simple and mentioned that his name was Ye Ziming.
After seeing Ye Ziming walk in, Muqing was completely overwhelmed. Her big, beautiful eyes opened wide in shock.
Finally snapping out of it, she quickly tried to hide behind a taller maid, hoping that would keep Ye Ziming from noticing her.
But just as she was moving, she accidentally tripped over her own feet, left foot stepping on the right, and with a loud “thud”, fell straight to the floor.
“Ah! Muqing, are you okay?”
The maid in front of her let out a small scream, instantly drawing everyone’s attention, including the new store manager, Ye Ziming.
Seeing one of the staff fall down, Ye Ziming immediately took a few steps forward, crouched down in front of her, and asked with concern, “Are you alright?”
“I-I-I-I-I…”
Oh no, her tongue was completely tied. Muqing sat on the floor with her face burning red, flustered and panicking as she stared at Ye Ziming in front of her.
