[Vol. 7] Chapter 191: This Is a Priest!

"I feel like I’ve seen this before… Brings back some not-so-great memories."

"Uh… Lord Little Fang, what do you mean by that?"

Behind her, two nosy followers seemed to be whispering among themselves, but Violet paid no attention to them.

She stood before a mythical Dragon King, facing a full-powered attack that might have already surpassed the Iv80 threshold in sheer strength. Her expression became slightly more serious as she raised her staff.

In terms of raw physical strength, as a priest, she wasn’t necessarily stronger than the Ice Dragon. In fact, she might even be a bit weaker.

The dragon’s attack combined its massive weight, the acceleration of a full-speed dive, and the power of dragon magic. Even Lucas, at full power, might struggle to take it head-on without injury. Trying to brute force it like she usually did was definitely not an option.

Even high-level defensive magic, around the sixth or seventh tier, probably wouldn’t be enough to block this kind of attack.

But Violet had already anticipated this.

"Been a while since I played like this..."

Thanks to her divine physique and the [Yin-Yang Eyes], which granted super-high-speed dynamic vision, the Ice Dragon’s rapid dive appeared almost like slow motion to her.

She took a slow breath of the cold, snowy air, and branches of light rose from behind her, spreading like a sacred tree.

"Holy Blessing: Supreme Power Enhancement."

"WOOOM—"

As soon as she finished speaking, one of the symbols at the tip of the 'branches' suddenly lit up.

"Holy Blessing: Supreme Agility Enhancement."

"Heavenly Melody Spring."

"Leytenia’s Blessing."

"Holy Harmony: Supreme All-Attribute Enhancement."

"Whispers of Light."

"Holy Blade to Banish Evil."

"Unyielding Barrier of Light."

"Zzzzzzzz~"

At a speed that almost made her words blur, a series of symbols with special meanings bloomed like flowers from the "branches" of light. These were 8th-tier or lower holy light magic with different enhancement effects.

The light representing these skills shone brightly and then faded slowly. The attributes of this body, especially strength and agility, were increasing rapidly at a geometric rate. Even without looking at the numbers on the stats panel, Violet could clearly feel the subtle changes across her entire body. This was something that couldn't happen in a game.

As a lv110 Priest, she could instantaneously cast multiple 8th-tier holy light magic simultaneously. Although her offensive skills were few to the point of being almost pathetic, as long as her attributes were high enough, she could defeat enemies just with normal attacks, combined with absurdly high defense and healing power.

Due to the inherently weak physical strength of a priest, these low-level enhancement spells worked more effectively on herself than on others of the same level.

Though they were still somewhat useless in general, there were times when they could produce remarkable effects.

"Boom boom boom boom!!!!"

The violent wind hit her face as the massive shadow of the dragon descended upon her in the blink of an eye, sending her long black hair flying. Although she only had time to cast eight enhancement spells in this short time, it was more than enough.

Ignoring the fleeting glimpse of the 7-figure strength and agility numbers on the panel, Violet planted her feet firmly like a rock. She gripped the [Eternal Scepter of the World's Heart] with both hands. The staff’s tip swelled rapidly in the wind and, in an instant, transformed into a giant weapon over several dozen meters long, resembling the ‘Spear of Light’. With a loud shout, she swung it from below to above, sweeping across the space!

"Come on—YOU!!!!"

"Bang!!!!!!!!!"

The deafening roar of terror echoed across the icy plains. Amid the sound of bone-cracking, the Ice Dragon, which had just reached in front of the girl, didn't have time to make any move. It quickly tilted and shot up faster than when it had fallen, almost turning into a blue shooting star that instantly disappeared into the sky.

Only after a long while, from the distant snow-capped mountains, which seemed to just be part of the background, came the violent sound of a huge impact followed by a snow avalanche and falling rocks, snapping the two half-gods, who had been stunned, back to reality.

"Ohhh!! My lord is so mighty!!!!"

"Haha... As expected of my respected lord, even that bird couldn't have done something like this so easily..."

The loyal golden-armored warrior loudly struck his chest plate with his great sword, making loud "bang bang" sounds, while a big golden dog, still shaken, mumbled something under its breath. However, Violet didn't pay much attention to them. She simply shrunk her weapon, which had just executed a righteous attack, back to its normal size, exhaled a breath, and waited for the dragon's next move.

Whether the battle was truly over was still unknown.

She had carefully observed the battle between the two half-gods and the dragon earlier, so she had made some judgments about its power and attributes. As a naturally powerful Dragon King, it could probably exert a combat power equivalent to over 30,000 in strength and speed when going all out, far exceeding the normal state of Minchen. Even Lucas and Little Fang would likely struggle to match it in that regard.

As for Violet, her normal strength, even with additional boosts, was only a little over 10,000. However, after stacking a lot of instant support spells, her power surged several times in a short period, even approaching the normal state of Xiao Guang at level Iv 100. Although the actual fight would be different, crushing a dragon that didn't even have half the stats should still be more than enough.

And, with only a small gap in attributes, the dragon’s physical strength and recovery abilities would prevent a single blow from instantly killing it.

However, after waiting for a long time, even as the noises from the distant snow-capped mountains gradually faded, Violet, who had been standing still, noticed that the Ice Dragon that had been blasted away still hadn’t returned. Even the effects of the support magic on her had begun to fade. At this point, she couldn't help but feel confused.

She turned to look at the two followers who had also come over, both of them radiating a sense of uncertainty. She smiled awkwardly.

"Uh, did I overestimate it? It couldn't have actually… well, you know, died right away, right? Maybe you should go check?"

"Yes, I... will go."

Lucas nodded slightly and was about to move, but Little Fang suddenly raised its head and looked at the sky with a tone of surprise.

"Wait, my lord, look!"

"Hmm...?"

At some point, frost-blue streaks of light had replaced the falling snow. They fluttered down from the sky, gathering around the [Heart of the Red Dragon] as if they had their own life force. They merged together and finally formed another crystal, almost identical, but now icy blue in color!

The red and blue crystals reflected off each other, merging and interacting with clear boundaries, until they sped off in two beams of light and embedded themselves in the massive [Dragon Gate]. They merged into two giant dragon carvings, one red and one blue, soaring above the magnificent murals, as if receiving the worship of all living beings!

Soon after, the entire massive [Dragon Gate] began to glow. The earlier tremors transformed into booming sounds as it opened and closed. The colors representing the seven great dragon races shifted in a rhythmic pattern, appearing and disappearing like breathing. A mysterious and strange aura drifted out from the opened gate, though what lay beyond was still hidden.

"This... What in the world is going on?"

Lucas stared at the fantastic scene in confusion, while Little Fang wagged its tail in surprise, its fierce eyes not blinking as it watched the transformation of the massive gate.

Clearly, even with their thousands of years of experience, neither of them could fully understand this incredible sight. But it was obvious that the Ice Dragon hadn't really been killed, or rather, it might not have even been a living creature to begin with.

The falling blue light was likely some sort of strange power that constituted its existence. Its true form was probably the frost-blue crystal corresponding to the [Heart of the Red Dragon], or perhaps, it was a mural on the [Dragon Gate].

But how could a crystal or a mural transform into such a lifelike, powerful dragon, one that even demigod level beings could barely match?
