Xia Changyu froze. His face went bright red. “No!”
Saving money on that kind of thing? Of course not! Wait, no! That’s not even the point!
He almost got led into her weird logic. This wasn’t about saving money at all!
If her example were real, then what’s the point of protection?
He wished he could hit the target right away and then have a lot of babies in five years!

After their late-night snack, Xia Changyu walked Lin Yibai home. He also helped carry two large boxes of bottled water up to her apartment.

But Xia Changyu just snorted, “It’s just two boxes of water. Who do you think you’re talking to?”
Lin Yibai said, “I didn’t mean it like that.”
Xia Changyu shrugged and said, “Whatever you meant. Honestly, Baiyi, you’re great in every way, but sometimes you’re just too clear about keeping distance. That’s not always a good thing.”
Lin Yibai was stunned for a second.
She couldn’t help but ask herself, ‘Am I being too strict with people?’
For guys who liked her, she might really be a hard nut to crack.

“Also, tomorrow I’m going to the nearby county’s Chongshan Ancient Town with my studio team. I mean... if you’re free, do you want to come along? Just treat it like a short trip or something!”
Xia Changyu quickly responded. “Tomorrow?”
“Yeah, we’re going there to do two wedding events. So it doesn’t have to be tomorrow. I can stay an extra day in Chongshan Ancient Town. If you’re free, we can hang out a bit!”
Xia Changyu agreed, “Sure! I’ll try to move some of my work around. I should be able to get there tomorrow night.”

Xia Changyu stood there outside, grinning like an idiot. And behind that door, Lin Yibai had her hand over her chest.
