Chapter 195: He’s Not Going Anymore
In the afternoon, all the curtains and windows in the room were closed, and the lights were turned off. The room was completely dark.
Li Mu sat curled up on the sofa, watching the projection on the TV wall.
Although the projector in Yu Fan’s house cost a few thousand yuan, its picture quality was still much worse than a regular TV. The screen was big, but from a distance, Li Mu couldn’t even clearly read the text on it. It looked more blurry than a 720p video.
But her mind wasn’t really on the movie. She felt a little nervous and kept glancing at Yu Fan, who was sitting on a single sofa nearby.
She couldn’t help but think, maybe she acted too impulsively.
Now that she thought about it, if Yu Fan suddenly asked to be intimate with her and pinned her down, she probably wouldn’t be able to accept it.

Feeling a little overwhelmed, she turned her head away, trying not to breathe in too much of his scent.
"How about we go on a date this afternoon?" Yu Fan suddenly asked.
"Where to?"
He thought hard for a moment. "Shopping?"

Besides, no matter where they went, Xiao Jing would follow them. Then she’d have to worry about the kid running around or getting lost, and she’d have to watch her all the time. That’s not really a date.
At least when they were at Yu Fan’s house, Xiao Jing could quietly watch TV.

Yu Fan had made good money last time in Yingfeng Town, and he didn’t usually spend much. Treating Li Mu to a fancy meal wouldn’t be a problem.
But Li Mu still shook her head. "Better to save the money."
"What for? Isn’t money meant to be spent?"

"What’s wrong?"
"Didn’t you say your family can’t help you buy a house?"
"Well... maybe I can manage one in the county town?"
"Then... where are we going to live in the future?"
Yu Fan suddenly laughed. "We just started dating this afternoon, and you’re already thinking about marriage?"
Her face turned bright red. "I’m seriously thinking about our future!"
Maybe it was because she had never dated before, but Li Mu always saw dating and marriage as the same thing, even though she knew a lot of people saw dating as just something casual.
If it was just about dating, she wouldn’t have hesitated so much when Yu Fan confessed his feelings.
"So you never really thought about it?" Li Mu looked serious as she questioned him.
"Of course I have!" Yu Fan scratched his head. Actually, he had even thought about names for their future kids.
He started doing some quick math.
"If I keep working with Chen Yi to deal with ghosts, like last time in Yingfeng Town, I can earn tens of thousands each time. Even if I only do it once a month, by the time I graduate from college, I should have enough for a down payment on a small apartment in the city. It might not be big, though."
"No!" But Li Mu shook her head firmly. "It’s too dangerous. If Chen Yi calls you again, just say no."
"Alright."
Yu Fan muttered, "If I just go to work after finishing my college diploma, who knows how long it’ll take me to buy a house..."
"If both of us work together, we’ll definitely be able to buy a house in the county town," Li Mu said.
He looked up at her serious face and suddenly smiled, reaching out to pinch her cheek.
Li Mu frowned and slapped his hand away. "That hurt."
The living room went quiet again, with only the background sound from the movie playing.
It was the first relationship for both of them, and they didn’t really know what to do. The things they had just talked about were a bit heavy for two young people who had just become adults.
Yu Fan wasn’t focused on the movie either. He lowered his head and gently played with Li Mu’s slender hand.
Whenever he got close to her, he always felt his heart heat up and beat faster. Slowly, that warm feeling would move lower...
Even though Li Mu wasn’t doing anything special, she still attracted him so much.
"Are you sure you want me to cook again tonight?" he asked.
"Yeah, or you can help me in the kitchen," Li Mu nodded. "I’m tired of eating outside food."
When she stayed at school, she either ordered takeout or ate at the cafeteria. Most of the food outside was oily and salty. It was okay once in a while, but after eating it too much, it got gross.
"Alright, I’ll start learning. Once I get the hang of it, I’ll do all the cooking."
"And also wash dishes, clean the kitchen, sweep the floor, mop the floor, do laundry... basically, you do everything," Li Mu said seriously.
"Yeah yeah yeah, I’ll also take care of the kids," he added.
"And you have to give me your full paycheck every month."
Yu Fan nodded hard. "I will. I won’t keep a single cent."
Li Mu gave him a very doubtful look. "Why do I feel like you’re trying to trick me?"

"If my dad buys us a car or a house, I’ll put your name on it too. Our first kid will take your last name, and the second can take mine. You can just stay home and look beautiful every day. I’ll handle everything else..."
Hearing that made Li Mu feel a bit shy.
Then Xiao Jing suddenly turned around and said, "Sister, he’s just saying sweet things to make you happy. He probably wants to take advantage and get you into bed tonight!"
"Xiao Jing!" Yu Fan glared at her.
But Li Mu was already giving him a very suspicious up-and-down look.
He immediately sat up straight. "You’re not seriously believing her, right? Xiao Jing always says crazy stuff."

He quickly tried to change the subject. "This movie’s kind of boring. How about we play a game together?"
Li Mu was just about to answer when they suddenly heard a knock on the door. She panicked a little. "Are your parents back?"
"No way. They're likely all in the north enjoying the snow at this time."

He got up and opened the door. "Who is it?"
"Brother Yu Fan! It’s finally New Year’s holiday! Come shopping with me!"
Outside stood a lively girl in a dress, smiling brightly as she invited a very surprised Yu Fan.
