[Vol. 7] Chapter 250: A Reflection Essay? Give Me a Break!
The room was full of loud, chaotic voices. Everyone shouting over each other as the noise kept rising again and again.
Just like mentioned earlier, the seven magical towers of Sainz weren’t just tall buildings. They were actually enormous magical weapons, each holding terrifying power. Together, they formed the [Eternal Day] Barrier that covered the whole city, and each tower also had its own unique ability.
They were a bit like the Spirit Veil Immortal Island of the Ancient Spirit Realm, a massive flying ship with unimaginable powers. Aside from its owner, the Spirit Fox Shrine Maiden, and her close companion, the Fox God, even a mythical race like the Spirit Veil tribe would need at least a thousand members working together just to activate its most basic abilities.
While the Seven Towers of Sainz weren’t quite at that level, making sure they worked properly still wasn’t something one or two people could handle.
In fact, just in the control room of the [Tower of Nature] alone, there were over a hundred people rushing around trying to manage the sudden crisis. The so-called “Tower Master”, an angry old man with a long white beard wearing a green robe, mostly spent his time yelling and giving out orders.
All seven towers were built using the same core design, so their structures were more or less the same. If someone understood how a tower worked, it was possible to mess with one from the inside.
Of course, Sainz had prepared for situations like this. According to Violet’s knowledge, for someone to actually “bring the foreign energy into the power core,” as the Tower Master shouted, they’d need permissions equal to or greater than the Tower Master. It was the same idea as planting a spy. An enemy could maybe sneak people into the lower levels of the city or within the general public, but those in high positions, people whose interests and emotions were deeply tied to Sainz, were incredibly hard to turn against it.

Violet’s spirit form glanced around the busy control room and casually picked out a girl who looked relatively calm and wasn’t too busy. She looked like a magic apprentice. Slowly, Violet floated over to her, silently watching her from up close without the girl realizing anything.
The way these magical towers were operated was kind of like piloting a large spaceship. Everyone had their own job, managing different functions and systems. The more powerful features could only be activated with permission from the Tower Master.
The verification method seemed to require both magic flow and fingerprint checks at the same time, so it was probably impossible for someone to steal or fake the access permissions.
Not only that, it looked like anyone in a management role also needed to have strong magical abilities that matched the tower's nature. For example, in this [Tower of Nature], all the workers gave off a magical feeling related to life or plants. More than two-thirds of them seemed to be from the Tree Spirit race.
The Tower Master and this young magic apprentice girl were the same. They both had long ears and green eyes, which meant they were likely from the Lingmu tribe, just like Sophie and Enrique.
There was a reason why Violet paid attention to all of this.
Her spirit form, made from concentrated SP, gently placed a hand on the apprentice girl's shoulder. Because the spirit form didn’t have a real body and couldn’t be seen by normal eyes, the girl didn’t notice anything. For now, all that had happened was a simple connection between them.
At the same time, high above the tower, the priestess suddenly opened her eyes. A flash of mysterious black and white light flickered across her clear silver-blue pupils.

As if pulled by a strong invisible force, the spirit form behind the girl suddenly twisted and disappeared, like it was sucked into the girl's body.

The magic apprentice girl, who had been quickly feeding her magic into several crystals in front of her, suddenly froze. Her body trembled, her eyes rolled back, and she lost control, as if her soul had suddenly disconnected from her body. She started to fall forward, drool running from the corner of her mouth.

But in the very next second, before anyone nearby could notice or react, the girl quickly straightened up, like a student who just woke up from nodding off in class. A strange black-and-white light flashed in her green eyes. She looked around with a weird smile on her face, one that clearly didn’t belong to her.
"Looks like it worked~ That idea I got from before really came in handy. Powers like these sure are full of surprises."
That’s right, Violet had successfully taken over the magic apprentice girl’s body by using her spirit form.
Some time ago, Mia was attacked. According to what [Shadow] saw while secretly watching, the attacker had taken control of Philoae, the person giving Mia her blood, by possessing her body. That way, they could trick and get close to the maid, hoping to plant a [Dream Seed] in her too.
Violet didn’t really know or care about the exact power of [Nightmare], but when it came to controlling souls, that twisted method was nothing compared to the [Reincarnation] law used by the Spirit Fox Shrine Maiden. In both concept and strength, there was a huge gap between them.
Since they were both higher-level soul-based powers, anything [Nightmare] could do, Violet who had inherited the full power of the [Reincarnation] divinity could also do. The only difference was in how the powers appeared or worked, and sometimes she just needed a little creativity to make things happen.
One important point, this form of possession was very different from a proper divine descent (a process where gods use the bodies of faithful followers to appear in the world). Violet’s method didn’t need strong belief or body compatibility. It was more like a small trick that only affected the soul.
So even though the Tree Spirit girl she picked followed a different god, Violet could still easily take over her body using the power of [Reincarnation]. Of course, the strength she could use in this borrowed body was much weaker.

The girl’s strange behavior quickly caught the attention of the Tower Master, who acted like a supervisor. But it seemed he was quite familiar with this tree spirit girl named Tiffany. He didn’t suspect anything bad, he just shouted at her out of habit and told her to get back to work.
Of course, writing an apology had nothing to do with the real person inside. The “Tiffany” controlled by Violet wasn’t scared by such silly threats. She just glanced at the old man and pretended not to hear, then kept walking.
