Chapter 125: She’s on the Fifth Floor
When they arrived at the hospital, there was a doctor waiting to receive them, and also a very pretty nurse.
After that, Lin Muqing went through a basic full-body checkup, so it didn’t take too long. Plus, because they had a special access pass, both the check and getting the results were very fast.

Before the doctor could speak, the nurse next to him quickly answered for him, and in great detail, too.
During the whole checkup, Lin Muqing noticed something: this nurse acted very warm and enthusiastic whenever she talked to her "good bro." She answered every question, and whenever she did, she always tried to shift the topic to herself.
Thinking this, Lin Muqing turned her head to look at the nurse, who just so happened to look her way at the same time. Their eyes met.
The nurse looked at Lin Muqing’s petite figure, then lifted her chin with a smirk, crossed her arms under her chest, and stood tall to show off her assets. But what she didn’t know was, this little “challenge” had no effect on Lin Muqing at all.
Lin Muqing thought: What is this woman doing? Winking at me like that? She’s weird.
After spending so much time with her good bro, she had already gotten used to girls trying to get his attention. So a nurse like this didn’t surprise her. But what she didn’t expect was, this nurse was trying to provoke her directly. So her conclusion was, this woman definitely had something wrong with her.
“Are we done with the checkup?”
Lin Muqing rolled her eyes secretly at the nurse, then turned to ask her good bro.
“Yeah, now we just go home and wait for the results.”
Ye Ziming nodded and smiled, getting ready to take Lin Muqing out of the hospital, completely ignoring the nurse next to them.
“I want to go to the bathroom.”

“I heard this hospital was built with investment from the Ye family.”
Along the way, the nurse talked a lot about what she had heard, guessing that Ye Ziming must be a rich young master from a powerful family. She even got straight to the point, saying she was interested in him, and showed off her “assets” again. To be honest, she was quite proud of them.
But Lin Muqing didn’t feel anything. In fact, a certain phrase popped into her head: big chest, no brain.
“Ugh. Stop right there!”
After feeling a bit awkward, Lin Muqing really couldn’t listen anymore and directly interrupted the nurse.

She had already finished using the restroom and washed her hands. Not wanting to keep her buddy waiting, Lin Muqing rolled her eyes at the nurse, then turned around and walked out of the bathroom, completely ignoring whatever the nurse said afterward.
To be honest, she felt like laughing. There were so many girls in the cafe who were way prettier than this nurse. If her buddy ever wanted to date someone, he definitely wouldn’t look for someone like her. After Lin Muqing left, the nurse didn’t follow her. She just stood at the bathroom door, watching Lin Muqing’s back as she muttered to herself:

She hadn’t even gotten to use any of the lines she had prepared. In the end, she didn’t get any useful info and even got looked down on instead. How could she just let that go?
Thinking of this, she smirked slyly and took a shorter route to go back. If she walked faster, she could arrive earlier. But what she didn’t expect was that Lin Muqing’s terrible sense of direction actually worked in her favor this time.
Even though she had already gone off the original route, after wandering around for a bit, she somehow ended up finding her buddy. But they were only able to see each other, from across two layers of glass, and they weren’t even on the same floor.
Lin Muqing opened her mouth to say something, and Ye Ziming wanted to respond, but didn’t know what to say. A strange feeling of helplessness welled up inside him. He thought, I really should’ve just gone with her earlier.

Since sound couldn’t pass through the two glass walls, they had to use eye contact to communicate.
The hospital’s layout wasn’t too complicated, but if someone deliberately took you to a faraway restroom, that was a different story. After a bit of searching, Ye Ziming managed to find Lin Muqing, and luckily, he didn’t bump into that nurse again.

When she saw her buddy appear in front of her, Lin Muqing scratched the back of her head shyly, with an awkward smile on her face. Because she was embarrassed, she didn’t dare look him in the eye, and felt super awkward inside.
“Let’s go. Time for lunch.”

She nodded hard, then happily followed her buddy out of the hospital.
For a girl who loved to eat, hearing that it was time for food was super exciting. Lin Muqing almost jumped with joy. All that awkwardness from earlier? Gone in an instant. Compared to food, that stuff wasn’t important at all.
As the two of them chatted and walked away from the hospital, that same nurse happened to be standing in the spot where Ye Ziming had just been.
“Ugh! So she was on the fifth floor this whole time?! And I thought she was on the first!”
After watching their interaction, the nurse angrily punched the glass wall and muttered to herself with a very upset expression.
But she wasn’t ready to give up. She had overheard that the two of them would be coming back for a gynecology checkup later. That meant she still had a chance.
