Chapter 98: A Night in the Three-Person Dorm
“Ah—!”
“What are you thinking? Sit down and dry your hair properly.”
Seeing this silly girl looking like she wanted to cause trouble, Mo Ziyang didn’t spoil her. He flicked Lin Muxi on the head. Right after, Lin Muxi let out a loud cry.
“What was that for…”
Covering her head, she looked at her good bro with teary eyes, full of confusion. She had been waiting for Yu Xiaoxiao to go take a shower, so she could spend some time alone with him. What was so wrong about that?
“Once your hair is dry, go to bed and sleep.” Mo Ziyang ignored her pitiful look and urged her.
“Ah…?”
Hearing this, Lin Muxi felt a little disappointed.
Shouldn’t this be the time for hugs with her good bro?
Why was she being told to just go to sleep?
“You don’t have class tomorrow?” Mo Ziyang raised his eyebrows, finding the little fool in front of him funny.
“Hugging won’t hurt anyone.”
“Let's be real, a hug isn't all that's on your mind.”
Hearing that, Lin Muxi quickly turned her head away, guilty because he had guessed right.
“You like causing trouble, but every time you get so scared.”
“I’m not scared! I… I’m not…”
“Hah…”
Even when her good bro teased her, Lin Muxi still refused to admit it. She couldn’t win against him, but at least she wouldn’t lose in words.
But for Mo Ziyang, making this stubborn little fool give in was way too easy. Turning off the hair dryer, he gave a mocking smile and leaned close to her ear.
“Who was it that got touched once and got so mad she wanted to kick me out that night…?”
“Ahhhh—! Mo Ziyang!”
The moment she heard this, Lin Muxi’s face turned red. She waved her small fists and hit her good bro.
Too much!
Why did her good bro always bully her by bringing up such shameful memories? It didn’t hurt much, but it was so humiliating.
“Alright, alright, I won’t say it anymore.”
Watching the little fool puff up in anger, Mo Ziyang laughed and rubbed her head. Obviously, making Lin Muxi embarrassed was exactly what he wanted.
“You’re so annoying…”
Glaring at him, Lin Muxi stood up, fixed her hair, then angrily climbed onto the bed to play with her phone.
Her two little feet dangled in the air, sometimes swinging toward Mo Ziyang, as if urging her good bro to hurry up and join her.
This made Mo Ziyang frown a little. So, while Lin Muxi wasn’t paying attention, he gently tickled the bottom of one of her white little feet.
“Yahhh—! What are you doing!”
The second he touched her, Lin Muxi jumped up from the bed, looking down at her good bro in embarrassment and anger.
“I told you to rest early, but you’re still playing.”
“Playing a little won’t matter… but why did you suddenly grab my foot?”
Hugging her phone, Lin Muxi pouted, while Mo Ziyang could only shake his head.
“It’s less than a week away now. You should review more and stop only thinking about playing.”
Just as he said this, Yu Xiaoxiao happened to come out of the bathroom after her shower.
She immediately saw the two of them. Lin Muxi pouting on the bed, and Mo Ziyang staring at her from below. For a moment, Yu Xiaoxiao was confused.
“You two… are you fighting?” She stood at the bathroom door, unsure if it was safe to walk in.
“No, I was just reminding Lin Muxi to study properly.”
Mo Ziyang shrugged, showing nothing had happened. But his words made Lin Muxi even more unhappy.
“I already know everything… What’s wrong with playing a little? Right, Yu Xiaoxiao?”
“Um… Sister Lin… the college entrance exam is very soon. I think you really should study more.” Hearing Mo Ziyang’s words, Yu Xiaoxiao nodded in agreement.
“You two…”
Seeing both of them ganging up on her, Lin Muxi simply lay down on the bed, pulled the blanket over herself, and ignored them.
Not until Yu Xiaoxiao climbed into bed and Mo Ziyang finished his shower, turned off the light, and got ready to sleep, did Lin Muxi turn her head to look at her good bro lying beside her.
Her little face was full of “I’m upset” and “Come comfort me.”
With a helpless smile, Mo Ziyang gently pulled Lin Muxi into his arms.
“Are you mad?”
“What do you think?”
Lin Muxi raised her head from his chest, glaring at the man who always made her angry every day.
“Alright, don’t be mad. Sleep early, you still have class tomorrow.”
“No, I’m mad.”
Grabbing his collar, Lin Muxi refused to give up, she wanted Mo Ziyang to coax her properly.
“Yu Xiaoxiao is still here. Aren’t you afraid she’ll hear?”
Since she was still sulking, Mo Ziyang pinched her little nose.
Hearing this, Yu Xiaoxiao, lying on the side, grabbed the chance like a lifeline. She coughed twice on purpose, then turned over, making sure they knew she was still there.
Clearly, even she couldn’t escape being “force-fed dog food” before bed. She could only pray that Mo Ziyang and Lin Muxi would stop soon and give her, the single girl, a break.
Now that she finally had an excuse, she wasn’t going to miss it. And it worked right away.
The dorm became quiet at once. So quiet, even the drip of water from the balcony faucet could be heard.
In Mo Ziyang’s arms, Lin Muxi finally remembered Yu Xiaoxiao was still there. She shut her mouth, but her eyes glowed in the dark as she stared at her good bro angrily.
Sigh…
Mo Ziyang let out a sigh.
Then, right in front of her wide eyes, he lowered his head and gave her forehead a soft kiss.
Watching her angry face slowly turn into a pitiful one, Mo Ziyang knew his “skill” had worked. So he held the little fool closer and gently patted her head.
“Still mad?” He whispered by her ear, then teasingly blew a little breath into it.
“Ahh~!” A soft gasp escaped Lin Muxi’s mouth.
“What happened to Sister Lin…?”
Even Yu Xiaoxiao was startled. She turned her head curiously, wondering what had made Lin Muxi make that kind of sound.
“N-Nothing… go to sleep!”
Her whole face burning red, Lin Muxi lost her temper completely, hurriedly turning her back.
And so, the dorm became quiet again.
When Lin Muxi opened her eyes next time, it was already morning.
“Mmm~” She let out a small sound in her good bro’s arms before slowly opening her eyes.
“You’re awake?” Seeing the sleepy little fool still in his arms, Mo Ziyang rubbed her head gently.
“Mm… good morning…” She rubbed her eyes, and the first thing she saw was her good bro’s handsome face.
“Do you know what time it is now?” Mo Ziyang looked at her with a smile and asked.
“Uh… isn’t it 6:30?”
She grabbed her phone, only to see that it was almost 10 o’clock.
“What the—?! It’s already 10!?”
She shot up from the bed in shock.
Not just late, she had already skipped several classes.
