Chapter 214: The Three Who Got Caught
The two people continued strolling through the shopping streets, while the other three quietly followed behind them. On the surface, everything looked peaceful and normal.
It was only a while after they had left that Fang Wenxin finally snapped out of her daze, her expression looking very complicated.
She never imagined that after just one year and one month of not seeing her Brother Ye, he would already be stolen away by another woman. She frowned slightly, sat back down, thought for a bit, then took out her phone and called her younger sister, Fang Xiyue.
"What? That shameless woman dared to do that?!"
After listening to Fang Wenxin’s story, Fang Xiyue immediately shouted on the phone. Her anger was so strong, it could be felt even through the call.
Hearing this, a faint smile suddenly appeared on Fang Wenxin’s face, the kind of smile that showed her plan was going well.
While smiling, she continued telling her sister about how ambiguous things were between Lin Muqing and Ye Ziming, adding a few exaggerated details here and there.
“Sis, how did you run into them anyway?”
After chatting for a while, Fang Xiyue suddenly realized something and asked with a slightly suspicious tone.
“Huh? I just happened to be out having fun and saw them.”
“You went out alone?”
“No, I’m shopping with a friend. Ah! They’re calling me! Gotta go! I’ll talk to you later when I get home.”
Faced with her sister’s suspicions, Fang Wenxin quickly found an excuse to end the call and also hinted that she wasn’t interested in Ye Ziming. But what she didn’t know was, her “performance” successfully made Fang Xiyue suspicious.
Now, the younger sister suspected her older sister of trying to steal her man, although she had no proof, just a gut feeling, a sixth sense all girls have.
“No blood relation between them? Hah! Now that’s interesting.”
After hanging up, Fang Xiyue looked at the paternity test report in her hands, the one with key information removed, and also thought about the message she had just heard from the Lin family.
After asking around, she found out the reason the Lin family was holding a big banquet was because their long-lost daughter had finally been found.
And when she combined that with the bits and pieces she overheard at the café last time, Fang Xiyue filled in the blanks on her own. She believed that Lin Muqing pretended to be the Lin family’s long-lost daughter just so she would be “worthy” of Ye Ziming.
As for how she pulled it off, Fang Xiyue guessed that Lin Muqing used some trick to make those three brothers give up on the DNA results and choose to believe her instead.
Thinking like this, Fang Xiyue was convinced that Lin Muqing was a liar. And now, she was determined to use this opportunity to steal Ye Ziming back!
In the tourist area, Ye Ziming was walking aimlessly with Lin Muqing, visiting whatever place seemed fun.
By late afternoon, as the sun was starting to set, Lin Muqing felt tired from walking and wanted to rest before dinner. That’s when she spotted her older brothers.
“Big Brother, look over there.”
She had just sat down and taken out her phone to snap a scenic photo, when she noticed some chaos happening nearby.
A group of people had gathered in a circle. At first, she couldn’t see clearly who was causing the trouble, but she could hear a familiar voice yelling “Sister!”
“Oh yeah? Still won’t admit it? I’ve been following you this whole time, watching you stalk that couple!”
In the crowd, the local tourist security guard was holding onto Lin Qiwen, the loudest of the bunch, and was scolding him fiercely.
“So you were following us?”
At the perfect moment, Lin Yiming asked a fatal question.
“Don’t try to change the subject! Take them to the security office. We’re calling the police! And you, wearing that mask and sunglasses, you’re the most suspicious!”
The guard pointed at Lin Zixuan, who was wearing a disguise. As a celebrity, he had been completely cooperative, so the staff didn’t force him to take it off. The reason was simple, if the public recognized the currently trending star, he’d definitely make tomorrow’s headlines:

At the same time, not far away, Lin Muqing had already recognized the people being caught by the security guards in the tourist area, they were her brothers. But she felt so embarrassed. Suddenly, she didn’t really want to go help them. What should she do?
“Big bro, can you do me a favor? Please don’t let them recognize me. I’m afraid it’ll be too embarrassing.”
Covering her face with both hands, Lin Muqing turned her back to the crowd and whispered softly to her good buddy.
Ye Ziming turned to look at Lin Muqing beside him and really wanted to say that he also didn’t want to embarrass himself with these three idiots. But what made it hard to say no was that Lin Muqing kept tugging at his sleeve, looking at him with puppy-dog eyes, silently asking for help.

In just one second, Ye Ziming remembered his earlier conversation with his future mother-in-law. With a sly little smile, he made a deal with Lin Muqing.
“Huh? Fine, fine, fine, I promise you!”
She froze for a second. Based on her past experiences, Lin Muqing felt like her buddy was setting a trap for her again. But seeing her brothers about to be taken away, and one of the guards even pulling out his phone to call the police, she didn’t have time to think. She quickly agreed to the condition and urged him to go save them.
“Go wait for me over there.”
Ye Ziming moved fast. After getting her response, he pointed to the nearby rest area.
Once he made sure Lin Muqing had left, he stepped forward to stop the head security guard and began explaining the situation for the three brothers.
“You know them?” the security guard asked.
Looking at Ye Ziming and then the three guys who had been caught, the guard’s expression was a little strange.
“They’re my friend’s brothers,” Ye Ziming replied.
His expression was also awkward. The words “I know them” stayed stuck in his throat for a while, but in the end, he couldn’t say them out loud, because this whole thing was just way too embarrassing.
After some back-and-forth talking, Ye Ziming finally convinced the guard that the three weren’t creeps or perverts. The issue was resolved. Ye Ziming originally wanted them to just go home and stop causing trouble here, but clearly, the three weren’t having it.
Left with no choice, he led them to the spot where he and Lin Muqing had agreed to meet.
“Little sister.”
Seeing her standing right in front of them, Lin Qiwen gave an awkward smile, raised his hand, and greeted her. “You guys…”
Lin Muqing felt like she couldn’t take it anymore. She really didn’t want these brothers. Can she sell them? Three bucks for one, ten bucks for all three, any takers?
The three brothers in front of her… one was wearing a mask, one was in sunglasses, and none of them looked like decent people at first glance.
No wonder the tourist area’s security guards thought they were suspicious.
“You guys tell me, if I tell Mom about this, what do you think she’ll do?”
After listening to their explanations, something about wanting to protect her, Lin Muqing didn’t believe a word of it. She took out her phone and, right in front of them, got ready to call their mom and spill everything.
