Chapter 30: Beautiful Voice, Big Brother Gamer Carry Me
At noon, An Han planned to go to the next dorm to find Su Peng, but when he knocked, he found the door locked.
It was still pouring heavily outside, and he had no idea where Su Peng had gone.
Standing in the corridor, An Han could feel the raindrops splashing onto him. After a short pause, he quietly went back to his dorm room.
Looks like he wouldn’t be able to finish the task early.
It wasn’t really a big loss, but he still felt a bit annoyed.
The morning had clearly been a good chance to get closer to Su Peng, yet he had wasted it.
Still, since there was no time limit on the task, there would be other chances to complete it. What he really worried about was accidentally doing something that might make Su Peng dislike him, which could lower the favorability and cause the mission to fail instead.
Su Peng had looked so nervous and flustered when he left that morning…
But I didn’t even tease him or anything, right?
No matter how much he thought about it, An Han just couldn’t figure out why Su Peng had made up an excuse to run away.
Surely the counselor didn’t really need him during the holiday, right?
Back in his quiet dorm, An Han sat in front of his computer, elbows on the desk and cheeks resting in his palms. He didn’t feel like playing games anymore; instead, his attention drifted to his own body.
The pain in his chest was becoming more noticeable, along with some swelling.
It didn’t hurt much if he didn’t touch it, but even a light press caused a sharp pain. And if his clothes rubbed against it too much, the little bumps there became quite obvious, and strangely, there was also a faint feeling of comfort.
“Lately, I’ve been getting more and more calm about… those kinds of things.”
He stopped thinking about the “bun problem” and glanced down between his legs.
Since he hadn’t planned to go out, he was only wearing a pair of loose shorts. Naturally, they didn’t show anything around his private area.
But the problem was… there hadn’t been any “movement” down there for quite a while.
He hadn’t thought much about it before, but now… it really seemed like it had gone numb.
“Too miserable…”
Still, An Han was the type to accept things as they were. Even while calling himself miserable, his hands were already on the mouse, logging into the game.
“Let’s play a match to relax a bit.”
That morning, he had already found a so-called “pro player” in the gaming community who agreed to help him rank up.
After setting up the voice chat, An Han put on his headset, took a small breath, and spoke in a cute, girly voice.
“Big brother gamer~ are you online yet?”
“Huh, so you really are a girl?”
An Han’s girl voice sounded completely natural. Even the best voice filters couldn’t match his level and with the internet between them, there was no way the other player could guess that the person on the other side of the screen was actually a man.
The “pro player,” excited by that clear and sweet loli-like voice, immediately got pumped up. “I’m on my smurf account, I’ve invited you to the party!”
“Listen! This afternoon, we’re not losing a single match. In this rank, I can destroy everyone easily!”
“Really? Wow, big brother gamer, you’re amazing~”
An Han deliberately copied the tone of a cute anime girl, full of admiration and excitement.
“Of course! By the way, your voice is really nice, girl.”
Even though he didn’t often act cute on purpose, An Han still handled the fake sweetness with practiced ease.
A mistake that used to make teammates curse him like it was the end of the world was now met with gentle comfort from the pro player. The kind of top player he could never reach before was now working hard to help him rank up for free. What an amazing feeling!
“Too bad I’m more of a Dota player...”
In this game where men often pretend to be women, running into a caring “pro player” was already rare good luck.
After a few rounds, An Han barely did anything useful. The pro carried every match easily, and they won each game in just about twenty minutes.
An Han squinted his eyes and smiled happily, his upper body swaying gently side to side.
No wonder so many girls love being spoiled by guys like this. So this is what it feels like? It’s actually kind of great!
“Big brother gamer, we won again! You’re so strong~”
“Of course! I even played in a tournament before, I won the championship!”
“That’s amazing!”
Outside the dorm room, Su Peng had just raised his hand to knock when he froze.
He stood still, listening to the sounds coming from inside.
“Ah~ yeah! Right there!”
“They got me!”
Su Peng scratched his head in confusion. Wow... so An Han’s private life is actually kind of wild?
Everyone else had gone home for the holiday, did he really bring a girl to the dorm?
Or… could that voice actually be him? That would be even scarier!
“Counterattack! Haha, I’m awesome!”
Oh. So it was just gaming.
Su Peng let out a quiet breath of relief. For a second there, he almost had to completely change his view of An Han as a person.
He knocked on the door again. When no one answered, he pushed it open and went in.
An Han was sitting at the computer, totally focused, not noticing Su Peng at all. With that sweet, high-pitched girl voice, he said, “Big brother gamer! They’re coming for me again! Help~!”
Su Peng stood behind him silently, not sure what to say.
Yeah, this was definitely something An Han would do.
But he hadn’t expected An Han’s girl voice to sound this real, it was perfect. Last time, it had still sounded a little awkward, but now it was completely natural.
Even the way he moved looked like a cute little girl.
His pale legs stretched out from under his loose shorts, tensed up with excitement, toes gripping his slippers tightly. It was obvious the game was at a critical moment.
And somehow… it looked kind of cute. Not awkward at all.
Then Su Peng suddenly remembered. This morning, he had noticed An Han’s chest moving up and down.
Wait… have I been classmates with a girl for three years without realizing it?
No way. That couldn’t be true.
“We won again!”
An Han cheered suddenly, his laughter bright and crisp. “That was so fast! We’re almost a hundred points ahead already!”
“Hold on, I’m going to the bathroom. Give me a minute.”
He stood up, humming a happy little tune, then turned around.
The moment he saw Su Peng, his face froze.
His smile vanished, replaced by a pale expression that quickly turned beet red, even spreading to his ears.
He stared at Su Peng in shock and stammered, “Y-you… when did you get here?”
I’m doomed.
“Why didn’t you knock?!”
The wave of embarrassment hit him so hard that his head went dizzy.
He had always been the one teasing others, but ever since that strange system appeared, he felt like he had become the clown.
“I did knock,” Su Peng replied calmly. “You just didn’t hear it.”
“R-right? Uh, I—I’ll just go to the bathroom then…”
As soon as he said that, he bolted for the balcony like a frightened rabbit.
It’s over! My mission is totally doomed!
Su Peng must think I’m a total pervert now. His favorability will drop for sure!
I have to do something to fix this!
Even if I can’t finish the task, I can’t let him think I’m a weirdo!
