Chapter 122: Trip to the Seaside
The vacation life wasn’t as exciting as she first imagined.
After more than a week, Lin Muxi even felt like she was turning into a lazy person lying in bed every day. At first, she still felt guilty about sleeping in, but soon even that feeling disappeared.
Every day she would just sleep in with her “good bro,” wake up naturally, and then go out to play.
It was almost like she was living the life of a young girl being spoiled by a rich boyfriend.
As for Mo Ziyang, his days were spent either playing games with Lin Muxi or taking this silly girl everywhere around the city.
Amusement parks, arcade centers, tourist spots. They had visited almost all of them. They even covered all the big shopping malls and movie theaters.
By the end of it, Lin Muxi didn’t even want to go out anymore.
A few more days passed like this…
One early morning, just as the sky was beginning to lighten, Lin Muxi, who had stayed up late playing games and was sleeping like a little pig, was shaken awake by Mo Ziyang.
With big dark circles under her eyes, she turned around in a daze, staring blankly at her good bro.
“What are you doing, Mo Ziyang… it’s so early, why are you waking me up?”
Her small eyes weren’t even fully open, and her soft, sleepy voice carried clear annoyance.
Did this bad guy not know she stayed up all night gaming yesterday?
Besides, it was vacation! Why wake her up this early?
If she had a real bad temper when waking up, she would’ve kicked him already.
Mo Ziyang looked at the little girl lying beside him, not fully awake yet, and his face showed nothing but affection. At this moment, Lin Muxi had none of her usual playful or lively side. She was quiet, just like a sleeping beauty from a fairy tale.
Her cuteness made him unable to resist reaching out to pinch her fair little cheeks.
“Ugh~”
With a soft groan, Lin Muxi opened her eyes fully and glared at the man who disturbed her sleep.
“You’re going to turn into a pig if you keep sleeping like this every day.” Mo Ziyang chuckled, letting go of her face.
“You’re the pig! Just tell me what it is already. I want to go back to sleep.” Lin Muxi shot him a glare, then turned her back to him, ignoring this annoying guy.
But before she could close her eyes, she heard him mutter on purpose:
“Sigh, looks like I’ll be going to the seaside alone today. What a pity.”
“What did you just say? Going to the seaside?!”
Catching the key words, Lin Muxi immediately bounced up from the bed. Then, like an excited little girl, she crawled over to Mo Ziyang, her eyes sparkling like stars.
Clearly, going to the seaside was something she had always been looking forward to. But ever since the vacation began, Mo Ziyang never once brought it up. Even when she asked, he always dodged the question, which left her frustrated.
Now, seeing her suspicious and excited face, Mo Ziyang only smiled. He slowly pulled out his phone, opened a travel app, and showed her two plane tickets.
“Look, what’s this?”
“No way, we’re really flying there?!”
In just that moment, all the tiredness from her late-night gaming vanished completely.
She quickly grabbed her good bro’s phone and looked excitedly at the screen. There were two plane tickets to a seaside city. A famous tourist spot known for its beach resorts.
Lin Muxi was a bit shocked and flattered. So, her good bro hadn’t told her all this time just to surprise her today.
What she didn’t know was that Mo Ziyang had kept it secret until now because he was afraid this silly girl would get too excited and stay up all night.
But then, the happy smile on Lin Muxi’s face froze. The flight was at ten o’clock, and it was already six-thirty.
Even though she had never flown before, she knew you had to check in early. Yet, they hadn’t even packed their luggage, not to mention checking in baggage and going through security.
“There are only three hours before the flight!” she said nervously.
“Exactly, and you were still sleeping,” Mo Ziyang chuckled.
He tapped her lightly on the forehead and said, “Go wash up quickly, then pack your things.”
With that, Lin Muxi stopped lazing in bed. She jumped up right away and ran to the bathroom to brush her teeth.
When she came back, the two of them spent over half an hour packing their clothes into one suitcase. To carry some personal items, Mo Ziyang also put on a backpack.
Once everything was ready, he held Lin Muxi’s hand, locked the door behind them, and they headed to the parking lot.
A sports car sped down the highway, and after nearly an hour, they arrived at the airport.
Sitting in the passenger seat, Lin Muxi looked at the huge terminal building, her heart racing with excitement. It was her very first time flying, so it was natural to feel a little nervous and afraid.
But after today, she would officially be someone who had flown on a plane. Thinking about that filled her with pride along with excitement.
Seeing her nervous face, Mo Ziyang thought she was worried about missing the flight. He gently held her hand in his palm, rubbing it softly to comfort her.
“Don’t worry, I booked first-class tickets. We’ll use the VIP channel, so there’s no need to worry about being late.”
Hearing this, Lin Muxi checked the time on her phone and finally let out a sigh of relief.
After getting off the highway, Mo Ziyang parked the car and led her into the terminal with their luggage.
Thanks to his airline black card membership, even at the very busy Beijing International Airport, everything went smoothly, from baggage check-in to security checks.
What usually takes more than an hour for regular passengers took them less than fifteen minutes.
Being led by Mo Ziyang the whole way, Lin Muxi was a little dazed. She had really worried about long lines for baggage and security checks when he mentioned it in the car earlier.
She guessed the beginning right, but not the ending.
As soon as they entered the crowded hall, her heart sank. But her good bro, with his black card, turned every “red light” into a “green light.” Staff even came forward to personally guide them through the fast lanes.
Seeing this, Lin Muxi couldn’t help but admire the power of his family’s wealth.
Of course, their treatment also attracted curious looks from others at the airport. People whispered, guessing which rich young master was taking his pretty wife on vacation.
After all, normal memberships were common, but a black card was rare. Holders of such cards were usually top business tycoons or high-ranking officials.
So the whole way, the shy Lin Muxi held tightly onto Mo Ziyang’s hand, hiding behind him to avoid the curious stares and cameras around them.
