Chapter 124: The Journey
“Sir, we’ve arrived.”
As the airport cart stopped steadily in front of the boarding gate, Mo Ziyang got ready to help Lin Muxi get off.
The staff at the counters already knew a black card VIP was on this flight, so they had been waiting at the gate in advance.
The moment Mo Ziyang and Lin Muxi stepped down, the staff quickly came forward with ticket scanners in hand.
“Hey… Mo Ziyang…”
Noticing that all the other passengers around were staring at her and her good bro, Lin Muxi tugged at his sleeve and mumbled, clearly embarrassed.
Sigh… this silly girl.
Mo Ziyang immediately understood, gently shielding her behind him.
But what he never understood was, why was it that a lifestyle others could only dream of seemed to hold no charm at all for Lin Muxi?
Shaking off his confusion, he scanned the QR code and led Lin Muxi by the hand into the boarding gate.
They walked slowly across the jet bridge. Lin Muxi followed behind, staring blankly through the glass at the wide runway and another plane parked nearby, as if lost in thought.
It wasn’t until she was seated in the soft, adjustable first-class chair that she finally snapped out of her daze.
Then, catching her good bro off guard, Lin Muxi suddenly turned her little face toward him and planted a light kiss on his cheek.
The unexpected kiss even left Mo Ziyang stunned. He couldn’t think of any reason why Lin Muxi would suddenly take the initiative.
“What’s this about?”
He blinked, touching the cheek she had just kissed. When he came back to his senses, Lin Muxi gave him a small smile and said,
“Before, I didn’t even dare to dream about sitting on a plane. But today, I really got to ride one, and it’s first class… Thank you, Mo Ziyang.”
Looking at the excitement and gratitude shining in her eyes, Mo Ziyang smiled. For the first time, he felt his money had been truly well spent.
Not caring that they were still on the plane, he lifted up the armrest between their seats and pulled Lin Muxi into his arms.
“If you want to thank me, then when I pick out a swimsuit for you, you’re not allowed to refuse.” Mo Ziyang narrowed his eyes with a mischievous grin at the girl in his arms.
“Eh—?!” Lin Muxi froze, staring at him in disbelief.
So he finally showed his true colors. As expected of her good bro, never one to suffer a loss.
But thinking about how much he had cared for her these past days, Lin Muxi swallowed back the words she wanted to say.
Under his gaze, her face turned red and she lowered her head.
“Not… not those weird ones… Otherwise, I won’t wear it…”
Her shy response instantly made Mo Ziyang smile, the kind of sly smile of someone whose plan had just succeeded.
“You said it. Don’t regret it later.”
“Huh?” Lin Muxi was stunned.
Why did he agree so quickly this time? Not even trying to bargain?
Normally, her good bro wouldn’t let her off so easily. He’d definitely push until she agreed to wear all the swimsuits.
Realizing this, Lin Muxi suddenly felt like she’d been tricked, like she had just lost hundreds of thousands of yuan.
So without even thinking, Lin Muxi quickly asked back, “Did you just take advantage of me again…?”
Mo Ziyang only smiled and said nothing. He just flicked her little forehead lightly.
Then the two of them noticed the flight attendant standing nearby, looking awkward as she watched their playful flirting.
“Um… Mr. Mo, Miss Lin, if you need anything you can press the call button beside you at any time. We can bring you drinks and snacks. I won’t disturb you two anymore.”
After saying that, the flight attendant bowed to them, then quickly and nervously pulled the curtain between their seats and the aisle.
Lin Muxi’s little face instantly turned red hot, and the next second she almost felt like turning into a steaming kettle. Her brain completely froze, and she just sat stiffly in Mo Ziyang’s arms, not moving at all.
To Mo Ziyang, her shy look was just too cute, it almost felt unfair. It even made him suddenly imagine, what would happen if he teased this little dummy right here on the plane?
But in the end, he didn’t do it. After all, he could already hear footsteps and voices from the aisle. Obviously, the other passengers were starting to board.
If someone accidentally pulled the curtain open and saw them, this little dummy would probably want to dig a hole and bury herself alive.
Thinking about it, Mo Ziyang could already picture her shy face as she hid in his arms, hitting him in embarrassment.
It wasn’t until the captain’s announcement came on, reminding passengers to fasten their seatbelts, that he came back to his senses.
“Alright, sit back properly. Whatever you want to say, wait until after takeoff.”
He patted Lin Muxi’s little head, then helped her fasten her seatbelt. After that, he took her iPad out of the bag and placed it on her lap.
Lin Muxi finally managed to calm herself down a little. She took the tablet, set it aside, and started looking out the airplane window.
Although mobile data couldn’t be used on the plane, VIPs like Mo Ziyang had access to in-flight Wi-Fi. They could connect to a special website to watch movies.
So, during the more than three-hour flight, Mo Ziyang held Lin Muxi close while they watched a movie together on the iPad.
Finally, when the sun was high in the sky, Mo Ziyang and Lin Muxi, who was wearing a blue dress, walked out of the airport hand in hand, pulling their suitcase behind them.
They got a taxi and headed to a five-star seaside hotel that Mo Ziyang had booked in advance.

Mo Ziyang glanced at Lin Muxi, who was staring out the window in a daze, and reached out to poke her fair little cheek.
“Hmm?”
Lin Muxi turned her head, puzzled, thinking he had something to tell her.
But Mo Ziyang just sat there with a faint smile, looking at her as if he was daydreaming.
“Hey… Mo Ziyang?”
Her confusion turned into curiosity. She waved her small hand in front of his face, trying to check if he was still alive.
But then she was startled when his eyes suddenly shifted and looked straight at her.
“What are you doing… sitting there not moving?” Lin Muxi glared at him with slight annoyance.
“Looking at you. What else?” Mo Ziyang chuckled.
As he watched this little dummy’s face slowly turn red, and then saw her pout and quickly turn her head back to the window, he suddenly realized this was probably the first real date he’d ever had with Lin Muxi.
Before, they had only played around a little at restaurants, malls, and amusement parks. To Mo Ziyang, those didn’t count as real dates.
But why did this trip feel so much like a honeymoon with a little wife?
Well… maybe thinking that way wasn’t wrong either.
With that thought, his eyes softened, now filled with love as he looked at Lin Muxi.
Even if she wasn’t his now, one day she would be.
Meanwhile, Lin Muxi still didn’t understand why her good bro was acting strange, teasing her one moment and then saying nothing.
But that faint smile on his handsome face just now had somehow struck her heart.
The sudden racing of her heartbeat made her quickly turn her head back toward the window, trying to calm herself down.
Ugh… she couldn’t believe she got flustered so easily just because of him.
