[Vol. 8] Chapter 65: Wait for Me

By now, after learning many things about the past and hidden details, Violet no longer looked at everything around her only from the view of a simple game. For example, the [Simulated Kabbalah Tree of Life] , in the Illusion World, it can copy without question any non-divine object that its owner has touched, as long as it has no soul.

The word “object” covers a very wide range. It can be something small like a flower, grass, or a tree, or something big like a building, a giant ship, a spaceship, or even very powerful equipment. The [Simulated Kabbalah Tree of Life] can copy all these exactly the same.

After coming into the real world, this amazing divine artifact can even copy things that don’t really exist physically, like a skill tree in a game. It breaks normal rules and appears again, just like its description says: it is a new sprout split from the very top of the Tree of Creation, which holds the original miracle power that created everything. This is not because it changed after leaving the game, but more likely because. This is the true ability of the [Simulated Kabbalah Tree of Life].

Hen told her that the [Blade of Hollow Mark] was strengthened a thousand years ago. This means the weapon Violet saw in the game was already improved and better. So now, when she copies it with the divine artifact, it will have the same power.

Even if the council finds out about Violet’s [Simulated Kabbalah Tree of Life] later, they would never think of Hen. That’s because Violet and Hen have never met in real life, so how could Violet copy Hen’s personal divine weapon?

In other words, maybe when Hen contacted her in the game... she already expected this kind of situation.

Thinking about many details she missed before, Violet shook her small hand, and the green ancient tree quickly changed, turning into the exact same silver blade the silver-haired girl held. Then she looked up at her.

“You probably understand now. Because you have that weapon, even if the council banishes you to the Time-Space Rift, I’m confident I can help you return to the real world. But the [Blade of Hollow Mark] is not a Primordial Artifact, and it doesn’t represent the ‘Time’ law. To open the door back to reality through it, one last condition must be met.”

Since Hen’s image here is made only from divine power and not her real body, the silver blade she holds isn’t the real weapon. Violet knows this well and doesn’t dare be careless. She focused and waited carefully for her instructions.

“You need an anchor, one that directly points to you. Normal outside forces cannot cross the chaotic border of the Time-Space Rift. Even a god’s mind is blocked by the disturbance of time flow. But in this world, there is something that can go beyond the limits of time.”

Without using meaningless riddles, Hen clearly gave the answer as Violet thought deeply.

“That is the power of the mind, not just one or two people’s thoughts, but the gathered thoughts of many, even countless living beings in the whole world. When this extreme will joins into one, it can become a power that even gods respect. That power is called [Faith].”

“You’ve seen before, in the Ten Thousand Demons Mountains, the fallen Demon God Olivia, and the echoes left from the past. This is a miracle created by the god’s mind crossing time and space with strong faith support. What we need to do now is very similar.”

“Watch carefully. I can only show you this once.”

At hearing some special words, the person who was listening seriously suddenly frowned, feeling something might be wrong. But before she could think more, the shadow of Hen’s divine power, moving exactly as planned, slashed the silver blade forward!

“Zzii!!!”

With a sharp sound like tearing cloth, a narrow crack suddenly appeared in the empty space of the Time-Space Rift. It was like a sealed airship high in the sky suddenly got a small hole. The chaotic and confusing power lost balance and rushed in wildly from outside, aiming straight at a certain priestess!

“Whoa!”

Before Violet could react, the [Anchor of Time] floating in her palm suddenly shone with a bright silver light. It turned into a clear, almost solid barrier that completely protected the black-haired girl inside. The wild, chaotic time flow rushed forward like huge waves hitting hard rock. It was split and pushed away on both sides, drifting back into the distance of the Time-Space Rift without affecting Violet even a little.

“Boom boom boom boom boom boom boom boom!!!!”

The violent time flow came fast and left fast, disappearing completely into the endless distance of the Time-Space Rift in just a moment. When all the noise stopped, the small crack that Hen had cut out with the projection of the [Blade of Hollow Mark] had also healed completely, showing no trace of damage.

After all, it was not the power of the main body, it was limited.

“What the heck, at least say hi before attacking…”

Though startled, the priestess who actually wasn’t in any real danger complained with a laugh-cry. But when she turned around, she found that the place where the silver-haired girl had been standing was now empty, and there was no familiar voice anymore.

The whole space suddenly felt strangely quiet.

“......”

After a brief pause, Violet quickly understood. But she could only shake her head helplessly. A complicated and hard-to-explain feeling flickered in her clear silver-blue eyes.

“Thank you, Hen… One day, I will come find you myself.”

Violet knew very well that all along, she was the only person in this Time-Space Rift. Hen’s guidance came only from a past image, like a memory or a recorded video, without any real ability to interact with others.

The [Anchor of Time] was something Violet placed in the Time-Space Rift beforehand, as a carrier to hold this projection. It appeared automatically when it sensed her presence, protecting her safely.

But Hen was very smart and knew her well, better than anyone. She almost predicted how Violet would react to seeing the image and carefully adjusted things to give Violet the warm feeling of actually talking face-to-face with her friend.

A divine artifact like the [Anchor of Time] is not something you just give away. Even Violet, who was relatively well-off, knew that it would be hard to give such a powerful gift without asking for anything in return. Giving a few broken magical tools or weapons is very different from truly giving a divine artifact. Though Violet didn’t care much about material things, she still felt something inside.

This showed how much Hen was willing to sacrifice to protect her and respond to her trust.
