[Vol. 8] Chapter 71: The Secret of [Radiance]
This was beyond anyone’s expectations... Even though Hen had already made so many preparations, things still went off track in the end.
No wonder the Twilight Council planned everything so carefully and paid such a huge price just to throw her into the Time-Space Rift to lock her away.
The power of Time really is too hard to control, and too dangerous.

Although Miss Violet ended up in this awkward situation due to a series of strange coincidences, this “Goddess Descent Ceremony” held in the Holy Empire’s Capital, which was kind of like a hero selection or trial event, was something she was already planning to handle herself.
That’s because Sethlin had been held back by the God of Indulgence and Desire, so Violet had already made some backup plans for emergencies. After a brief moment of panic, she calmed down quickly.
The sudden darkness that covered the whole world earlier wasn’t Violet trying to show off. It happened because it was the first time she actively accepted the power of faith, and the amount she received was just way too much.
This made her [Radiance] Divinity more active than ever before, so powerful that it almost caused her to burst with energy, along with some strange changes she herself didn’t fully understand.
Because of that, right after returning from the Time-Space Rift to the real world, the overexcited [Radiance] Divinity began to absorb all the nearby light energy on its own, as if it wanted to do something big.
This even caused a special scene that usually only happens when she uses her ultimate power, [Ultimate Art: Radiance].
She didn’t know exactly what was happening, but for some reason, Violet felt a bit uneasy. Since this wasn’t the right time or place to deal with unknown changes, she quickly decided to release some of that huge amount of faith energy to calm the Divinity down again.
However, such pure faith transformed into SP isn't something that can just be unleashed at will.
Just when Violet was secretly worrying about what to do, someone came to help. Her second pet, Miss White Bird, who had been resting in the pet space after finishing work.
Even though Violet created her, the white bird, called Snow Wing, had been working hard in the world of Aibus, acting as its sun. By constantly absorbing faith from the whole world, her power had grown way past her original level, almost as strong as the dragon girl before she evolved.
Snow Wing is quite special. Although Violet made her, Snow Wing was also created with the help of powerful forces.
The [Eternal Scepter of the World's Heart], the Dragon Forbidden Spell from the dragon girl, and some mysterious, pure essence from the Aibus world itself.
Violet’s part was mostly just fusing all those powers together using her SP.
Even though she’s very powerful now, Snow Wing doesn’t have a Divinity and has never shown signs of gaining one. Her role is more like a super-powered energy converter, endlessly absorbing and transforming light-based energy in the pet space.
Even without a Divinity, she can still use all the faith in the Aibus world, and even help Violet share the extra overwhelming faith power she just received.
That’s why Miss White Bird appeared almost at the same time as Violet. She wasn’t flying around her just to look cool, she was doing it to make the energy flow more smoothly.
The shining light around them both wasn’t to show off either. It was simply because they had too much energy, and it was naturally spilling out.
To the followers watching below, it probably looked like a scene where the goddess was affectionately interacting with her divine beast...
Even though that wasn’t true, Violet of course couldn’t explain, and she wouldn’t even try. After all, the whole point of a Goddess Descent event is to make it as dramatic and mystical as possible. The more mysterious and awe-inspiring it looked, the better.
Besides, because the [Radiance] Divinity was so overloaded, she was now glowing as brightly as a high-powered lightbulb, and people below couldn’t even see her real face clearly.
After all this was done, and after Snow Wing happily finished absorbing the extra power, the priestess sent her back to the pet space. Then, having finished her emergency preparations, Violet slowly descended, looking just like a goddess, and appeared before the thousands of believers.
As for the sparkles of light she had just scattered earlier. They weren’t some sort of blessing she was deliberately giving out.
It was simply because Snow Wing, although a light-element being strong enough to rival a god, still couldn’t absorb all the energy that the [Radiance] Divinity had taken in from the massive wave of faith.
So, rather than throwing the leftover energy fragments into the sky like fireworks, Violet simply let them fall to the ground, so the people of the Holy City could absorb and make use of them.
This is what she meant by "reap what is sown". And honestly, the priestess wasn’t just making things up to impress the crowd.
By this point, especially when Edwina spoke the familiar ceremonial words, Violet, who had already discussed everything in secret with the Pope beforehand, realized that everything was now proceeding exactly as planned.
She relaxed a little and began to follow the script she had prepared.

With those words, the goddess raised her hand, and a stream of brilliant light shot out like a rainbow, flowing into the massive statue of the goddess that stood over a hundred meters tall. The lifeless statue instantly glowed with pure, holy light, which slowly faded after a few seconds.
Then, six lights of different colors were sent by the goddess into the Sacred Hall. Six long white wings gently moved, and the glowing figure, wrapped in divine radiance, slowly rose into the sky and disappeared beyond the clouds.
Countless people fell to their knees in deep reverence, respectfully bidding farewell to the goddess once again.
Though her appearance had been brief, her actions confirmed the truth of faith and showed the reality of divine power.
For the Holy Empire, the Goddess Church, and believers everywhere, this moment carried a deep and powerful meaning that could hardly be put into words.
