Chapter 32: Forgiven!

The typhoon wasn’t that strong, just heavy wind and rain. But even so, An Han had no plans to go to the cafeteria.

The barbecue place was near the school, yet because of the storm, the food only arrived at the dorm an hour later, around six in the evening.

A folding table had been set up in the middle of the dorm room. Sitting on a plastic chair, An Han kept his legs close together, holding a greasy chicken leg and taking small bites of meat.

A moment later, he suddenly realized something. He lifted his head, saw Su Peng sitting across from him, froze for a few seconds, and then quickly tore off a big chunk of meat, his cheeks puffed out as he chewed.

Too girly! Why did even the way I eat become so delicate and cute?!

“Su Peng, send me sixty later,” An Han said with his mouth still full of meat, making his words a bit unclear. “We’re splitting the bill, this barbecue cost more than a hundred.”

“I thought you were treating me.”

“You’re already lucky I’m not asking you to cover mine,” An Han shot back. “You’re rich anyway.”

Su Peng chuckled helplessly. “How am I rich?”

“Your computer costs twenty thousand yuan! Mine’s only three thousand.”

An Han’s family wasn’t poor, but his parents believed that computers were only for playing games, so they wouldn’t buy him anything too expensive.

Of course, he did buy his laptop mainly so he could play games more easily at university.

“Alright, I’ll send it to you,” Su Peng said.

An Han’s hands were greasy, so he didn’t check his phone. Instead, he grabbed another skewer and tried to act more manly, taking big, rough bites of meat.

He never used to care whether he looked polite or messy, but now, he could only try his best to act rough.

“Here, beer.” Su Peng opened a bottle and handed it over. “Don’t drink too much.”

Drinking and eating with An Han felt different from hanging out with anyone else.

Su Peng felt a bit uncomfortable and strangely worried that An Han might get drunk. Normally, if it were someone else, he wouldn’t even care how much they drank.

“Don’t worry, I can handle my liquor,” An Han said.

He finished one bottle of beer in just a few gulps, his face unchanged, and casually opened another.

With beer, it was hard for him to get drunk anyway.

Weird… why isn’t there any ‘favorability increased’ message?

Could it be because Su Peng doesn’t like drinking? But no, he drank plenty during the past two years’ class gatherings.

Maybe it was because An Han had an ulterior motive this time. He couldn’t relax, and although he was usually talkative, now he didn’t even know what topic to start.

Fortunately, Su Peng spoke first. “How’s the thing with Long Xing going?”

He smiled teasingly. “Did you already ‘win him over’?”

“No way! I only like pretty girls!” An Han slapped the table hard, his tone serious. “I already threw away all my girl clothes! I’ll never cross-dress again!”

“You threw them away?”

“Yeah, into the trash bin.”

“No wonder I heard people from another dorm saying they saw women’s clothes in the trash…”

An Han curled his lips. “Whatever, they don’t know they’re mine anyway.”

“As for Brother Long… yeah, he found out it was me,” he said, lowering his head with a sigh. “Good thing he went home for the holiday, otherwise I’d have no face to see him.”

“How did he find out?”

“I don’t even know. He suddenly added me on WeChat using my phone number. If I’d known, I would’ve made a side account.”

He usually didn’t use WeChat much, so he hadn’t thought that far ahead.

Frowning in frustration, he tilted his head slightly and said, “Su Peng, what should I do now? Brother Long said it’s fine and told me to forget it, but it’s gonna be so awkward the next time I see him…”

Su Peng smiled and handed him a skewer. “He’s probably just as embarrassed to see you.”

“Yeah, true,” An Han nodded.

After all, liking his roommate while he was cross-dressing wasn’t exactly something pleasant to talk about.

“If you two are on the same wavelength,” Su Peng continued, “then just don’t mention it when you meet again. Pretend it never happened.”

An Han wasn’t sure if he and Long Xing had that kind of understanding, but one thing he was sure of, Chen Junjie, that troublemaker who loved drama, would definitely try to make things worse.

“About Chen Junjie…”

“I’ll tell him to shut up,” Su Peng said with a nod, already understanding.

“Beat him up?” An Han’s eyes lit up.

“No need. I’ll just talk to him.”

Chen Junjie would probably give Su Peng some respect, and even if he didn’t, he’d at least give Long Xing some.

That meant the whole mess that started from the very first mission could finally be settled.

“Come on, cheers!” An Han lifted his bottle happily and clinked it with Su Peng’s.

Great! No more cross-dressing!

The two quickly finished the whole case of beer. Because they drank too fast, even though An Han was confident in his alcohol tolerance, his face soon turned bright red.

Su Peng was even worse, as soon as he finished his last drink, his head hit the table with a dull thud, and his breathing grew heavy.

“Why are you bowing to me, huh~” An Han teased, never missing a chance to take advantage of the situation.

He leaned on the table to stand up, swaying slightly as he walked. Shaking his head hard to stay clear, he went to his computer, paused the video that was still playing, and then went to the balcony to wash his face.

After washing up, his mind felt much clearer.

“Alright, next step, I’ll take good care of the drunk Su Peng~ When he wakes up and sees how kind I was, his affection level will definitely go up a lot~”

Humming happily to himself, his voice turned soft and sweet like a girl’s.

He rinsed the towel again, then returned to the room and gently patted Su Peng on the shoulder. Speaking softly, he said, “Come on, you shouldn’t sleep like this. Go lie down.”

I’m being so gentle, his favorability must be rising fast now!

“Mm…”

“Here, lift your head. I’ll wipe your face,” An Han said with a bright smile. “I’ll help you wash up and take off your jacket. You’d better remember how nice I was to you tomorrow~”

“Huh?”

Su Peng groggily lifted his head, staring at An Han’s face, so close that he could feel his breath.

“Come on, let’s wipe your face.”

Under the influence of alcohol, Su Peng reached out and pinched An Han’s cheek.

Soft and smooth, even better than last time.

“Hey, stop messing around. Wipe your face and go to sleep.” An Han laughed, pushing his hand away, then covered Su Peng’s face with the towel and wiped a few times roughly. “Alright, shoes off, go to bed!”

He lifted Su Peng’s arm and placed it over his own shoulder, trying to help him stand up. But the man was heavier than he expected.

“You need to lose some weight,” he muttered.

“Mm,” Su Peng mumbled, his hand sliding down to An Han’s waist for support.

His body felt burning hot, and even through the fabric, An Han could feel the heat of his palm against his skin.

Stumbling and swaying, An Han finally managed to get him to the bedside. But just as he was about to let go, Su Peng suddenly lost balance and fell forward, dragging An Han down with him onto the bed.

“Ow—!” An Han winced from the pain, ready to curse. But then remembered, this is for favorability points!

Calm down!

“Alright, fine, go to sleep,” he sighed, lifting his upper body and trying to pry Su Peng’s hands off his waist.

But it didn’t work. The next thing he heard was Su Peng’s steady snoring.

“Hey! Hello? At least let me go before you fall asleep!”

“Su Peng! You—!”

[Su Peng’s affection +5]

“…You’re forgiven!”
