Chapter 34: Something’s Wrong With My Thoughts

Early the next morning, Su Peng yawned as he got up from An Han’s bed.

Sleep after drinking was never deep, and since it wasn’t his own bed, he didn’t really rest well. He probably didn’t fall asleep until around midnight, yet by five or six in the morning, he was already awake.

He stared blankly at the ceiling. A faint, gentle fragrance lingered around his nose. It came from the blanket. His head, which had been aching badly from the hangover, suddenly felt a little more comfortable as he smelled it.

“Smells like An Han… is this perfume?”

He couldn’t really understand why a guy would use perfume, but for some reason, it didn’t feel strange when it came to An Han.

The sound of clacking keys and mouse clicks came from nearby. Su Peng leaned over the edge of the bed. Sure enough, An Han was sitting at his computer, eyes red, clearly having stayed up all night gaming.

The dorm room, which had been a complete mess after last night’s barbecue and beer, was now spotless. The mattress and bedding Su Peng had thrown up on were already washed and neatly hung out to dry on the balcony.

“You really didn’t sleep at all last night?”

Hearing his voice, An Han glanced up briefly, then went right back to his intense in-game fight. “Yeah, didn’t sleep.”

“You washed all the blankets and stuff?”

“Yeah, what’s wrong?”

“N-no, nothing.”

He just found it hard to believe that An Han was so good at doing chores.

Su Peng had always thought An Han was the same kind of guy as him, someone who didn’t even touch household work. But clearly, An Han was much more capable in that area.

Still rubbing his slightly aching head, Su Peng stumbled down from the bed, blinking sleepily as he walked behind An Han.

An Han heard the noise behind him, turned around, and saw Su Peng giving him an apologetic smile.

“I really shouldn’t drink anymore,” Su Peng said with a helpless shake of his head. “I always end up throwing up.”

“It’s fine, I’ll clean it up for you,” An Han replied casually, secretly hoping the next mission could also be completed with a drinking session.

Just then, his game ended. He stretched lazily and yawned again. “So sleepy… You didn’t even shower last night. My bed must stink of alcohol now.”

Su Peng apologized again, then offered, “How about we grab breakfast before you sleep? My treat.”

“I think I’d rather just sleep.”

“At least air out your bed a bit first,” Su Peng said, not giving him a chance to refuse before walking straight out of the dorm.

The typhoon from yesterday had already weakened into a light drizzle. Even inside the dorm, the air felt damp and heavy. It was only around five or six in the morning. The sun hadn’t yet risen, and the cool temperature felt pleasantly refreshing.

An Han opened both the front and back doors of the dorm to let the air flow through. Drowsy, he leaned against the wardrobe, afraid that if he sat or lay down, he’d fall asleep instantly.

He had woken up yesterday at eight in the morning, then stayed up drinking and gaming all night. Now, the only thing keeping him awake was pure willpower and his determination to finish the mission.

Only five more affection points left!

He couldn’t afford to pass out before reaching the final goal!

Maybe he could do something during breakfast to raise Su Peng’s affection a little more before crashing?

He forced his brain to stay active, anything to stop himself from dozing off.

About ten minutes later, despite all his effort, he yawned again. Crossing his arms, head drooping forward, he slowly drifted off while still standing there half-leaning against the wall.

…………………

Su Peng carried the breakfast he bought outside the school and slowly walked to An Han’s dorm room.

When he looked through the open door, he saw An Han sitting on the floor with his knees bent, head buried in his arms, curling up like a small ball.

Su Peng froze for a second, paused his steps, then walked into the room and closed the door behind him.

“You’re not even afraid someone might steal your stuff,” he muttered while putting the breakfast on the desk. But his eyes couldn’t help turning toward An Han again.

So small and delicate.

Su Peng couldn’t understand how such a word like “delicate” could describe an adult man, but that was the only word that came to his mind.

Most of An Han’s face was hidden in his arms, only showing his beautiful ears and pale cheeks. He was wearing shorts, and his smooth, fair legs with gentle curves were exposed in the air.

The morning sun slowly rose, and the golden light from the balcony shone into the dorm, spreading across An Han’s body. His skin seemed to glow, making him look like a fairy who had come down to earth.

So beautiful.

Su Peng stared in a daze and subconsciously took out his phone to snap a picture.

But then he suddenly realized something was wrong.

“Did I just think a man looks beautiful?”

To be honest, if you looked carefully, An Han’s looks were at best slightly above average. But that mix of male and female features somehow had a strange charm.

Finally, Su Peng broke the beautiful scene of the morning light and the boy, saying, “Time to wake up. Eat breakfast, then go back to bed.”

Still half asleep, An Han woke up instantly. He looked up with confusion, sleepy tears shining in his eyes as he gazed at Su Peng.

“You’re back?”

His voice was a little hoarse and soft, sounding both pitiful and strangely tempting. “I’ve been waiting for you for so long…”

“It’s too early. The school cafeteria wasn’t open, so I went outside to buy food,” Su Peng said, his tone unconsciously becoming gentler. “Here, eat. I got you meat buns and soy milk.”

“Mm.”

An Han pushed himself up, rubbing his eyes sleepily while complaining, “You really insist I eat breakfast…”

“Skipping breakfast is bad for your stomach.”

“I know.”

He knew, but didn’t care.

An Han only started eating breakfast after entering university. Back in middle and high school, he never had that habit.

If it were really bad for his stomach, he would’ve had stomach problems long ago.

Sitting at the desk, he drowsily took a few bites of the meat bun. His head drooped suddenly, then jerked up again. He closed his eyes, took another bite, then dropped his head once more, woke up again, and repeated this over and over.

“Damn! I bit my hand!” An Han jumped up, yelling.

“That’s what you get for eating with your eyes closed. Hurry and finish, then go to bed.”

The pain from biting his hand woke him up a little. He quickly finished two large meat buns and climbed into bed.

As soon as he lay under the blanket, sleepiness swept over him.

His small nose twitched slightly. There was a faint smell of alcohol on the bed, but also another scent that made him feel safe.

Before he could think about what that smell was, his mind had already sunk into darkness.

Su Peng stood by the bed, watching as An Han fell asleep almost instantly.

He stayed silent for a long time, just looking at the sleeping face. After a while, he sighed and sat back at the computer, muttering softly,

“Something’s wrong…”

He had always disliked those overly feminine “pretty boys” from Korean dramas, and even in real life, he couldn’t stand guys who acted girly.

But now he realized, what he disliked wasn’t the effeminate ones. He disliked the ones who weren’t as cute or pretty as An Han, yet still tried to act like girls.

If they were all as cute and naturally soft as An Han, he might actually like it.

“I must be going crazy!”
