Chapter 63: A Normal Person!

Just as An Han walked back from the track field to the dorm hallway, he saw Long Xing chatting with Chen Junjie in the corridor.

He lightened his steps, planning to sneak up and scare them, but then he heard Long Xing speak in a worried voice.

“Ever since Wang Sheng came back, his mood hasn’t been right.”

“I didn’t notice,” Chen Junjie said while playing his game, sounding like he didn’t care. “Isn’t he always like that? He always plays by himself. I can’t even understand the games he plays.”

“But he never used to go a whole day without talking to us, and he used to be very active when playing games.”

An Han thought back to Wang Sheng’s behavior and realized it was true. Just like Long Xing said, since Wang Sheng came back, he barely talked even while gaming.

CS:GO has built-in voice chat and really needs teamwork. Even though Wang Sheng was usually quiet and low-key in the dorm, when he played games he talked nonstop, his mouth always going blah blah blah.

“I think the counselor said he took leave because of something at home.”

An Han suddenly spoke, making both of them jump in shock.

Long Xing turned around and said helplessly, “Can you stop walking like a cat? You make no sound at all.”

“These shoes have soft soles,” An Han replied casually. Then he asked, “Junjie, aren’t you pretty close to Wang Sheng? Didn’t you ask him?”

“Nope,” Chen Junjie kept playing his game. “He won’t tell me even if I ask. You know how he is.”

That was true. Wang Sheng was introverted. He would definitely keep everything inside and not talk about it.

After thinking for a moment, An Han showed a small smile and nudged Long Xing with his elbow.

“Then just get him drunk. When he’s drunk, he’ll talk!”

Between men, anything they don’t want to say when sober, they’ll say it after a few drinks.

Long Xing already loved drinking, so he nodded almost immediately.

“Alright! I’ll go buy some alcohol. Later we’ll have barbecue together?”

“No problem!”

“But you…”

He hesitated, glancing at An Han. He suddenly remembered, having one ‘girl’ drink with a group of guys…

Oh right, he’s a guy. Never mind.

An Han’s appearance was too misleading. People always forgot his gender by accident.

“What about me? You drink less than I do!” An Han glared at him.

“True.” Long Xing scratched his head with an awkward smile, then asked another question. “Oh right, the club president wants me to ask you, are you still going to the gym club or not? You only went three times since freshman year.”

“……”

An Han froze for a moment. He had completely forgotten about the club.

Back when freshman year started, he joined the fitness club with Long Xing. It was a club with a whole classroom full of gym equipment and filled with strong people.

He thought being around them would motivate him to train his weak body… but laziness won in the end.

Compared to running, lifting weights was even more boring.

“Next time. I’ll definitely go next time,” he promised, patting his chest.

“If you keep skipping, the president will get mad. You never come to club gatherings either.”

“I don’t know many people there…”

“That’s because you never show up.”

Not wanting to keep talking about it, An Han turned his head and walked into the dorm.

Inside, Wang Sheng was playing games like usual, but unlike before, his straight posture was now slumped, and his voice chats with teammates were weak and lifeless.

He leaned forward and slapped Wang Sheng hard on the back.

“Didn’t you say you need good habits to become a pro gamer? With your back so hunched, your waist will hurt after just a few rounds.”

“I’m fine.”

An Han sat down next to him, resting his head on his hand, his big dark eyes staring straight at Wang Sheng’s face.

This guy was the least good-looking one in their dorm.

Or more accurately, the one who didn’t take care of himself at all. Sometimes he didn’t wash his hair for days, he only had two sets of clothes, and other than going to class, all he did was play games.

“Don’t stare at me,” Wang Sheng mumbled. He couldn’t handle being stared at. Introverted people always hate it.

“It’s not just about failing the trial, right?” An Han smiled at him. “Otherwise you wouldn’t be acting so strange.”

“Don’t bother me.”

As expected, he refused to talk.

“We’re eating barbecue and drinking tonight. After you finish this round, don’t queue again.”

“Mm.”

His stiff, silent expression was really annoying to look at.

Having someone beside him who stayed gloomy and quiet all day also made An Han’s mood worse.

So he simply continued staring at Wang Sheng’s face. After a few minutes, Wang Sheng felt his scalp go numb, quickly closed his game, and dove into his bed, pulling the blanket over his head to block An Han from seeing him.

“We’re all roommates. What’s so hard to talk about between men?”

An Han was getting impatient. Seeing that Wang Sheng still didn’t answer, he angrily kicked the lump under the blanket a few times before turning away to do his own things.

Come on! He even has fifty points of favorability toward me! And he still won’t tell me anything about his private matters!

This is exactly when the system should show up, give him some choices, let him know what to do to stop Wang Sheng from shutting himself off.

Instead of tricking him into becoming more girly over useless things.

“An Han, the barbecue will arrive in about half an hour. I’m going to take a shower,” Chen Junjie said as he walked in, taking off his clothes. “Brother Long went to the supermarket to buy alcohol. Later you go meet him at the fence.”

“Why don’t you go?”

“I paid for the barbecue!”

“Tch~” An Han muttered unhappily. “So proud just because you have money… You’re still using my shampoo anyway.”

Chen Junjie was generous, that much was true, but it didn’t change their usual bickering.

After resting for a bit, An Han also left the dorm and headed to the back gate to meet Long Xing.

The school didn’t allow students to drink, so they didn’t sell alcohol anywhere on campus, and guards wouldn’t allow alcohol inside.

But drinking was still easy. In An Han’s opinion, the school rules were just for show.

Just as he reached the dorm stairs, his feet suddenly froze, and he quietly tried to step back.

“An Han.”

He stiffened like he had seen a ghost and forced a smile at the student.

Wang Yu walked down the stairs, expression blank. He looked An Han up and down, then kept walking upstairs.

“Sorry, wrong person.”

“……”

An Han stared at his back in confusion, scratching his head, not understanding what just happened.

This was the club president of the fitness club Long Xing mentioned. A serious and somewhat cold person.

Because he cared about managing the club well, he had looked for An Han three separate times. As a result, An Han only went to the club three times in two years, and now every time he saw Wang Yu, he felt like a mouse seeing a cat.

“Weird guy. Doesn’t even let me quit the club,” An Han muttered. Then he suddenly had an idea and asked, “System, check Wang Yu’s education level.”

[……]

“What’s Wang Yu’s favorability toward me?”

[Wang Yu: Favorability 13]

Wow, that was really low. Looks like the past two years had drained all of Wang Yu’s patience with him.

But instead, An Han felt strangely happy. Finally, someone who wasn’t fooled by his +2 Charm or his special favorability trait.

Finally, a normal person!
