Chapter 82: The Convention Plan
At the long table in the school cafeteria, An Han lowered his head and kept searching on his phone for a cheongsam that might suit him. His face looked calm, as if he didn’t care at all.
But his restless, shaking leg showed how nervous he actually was. From time to time, he secretly looked up at Su Peng, afraid that this guy might suddenly give him a shocking love confession.
After all, after he gave her a princess carry last time, who knew what Su Peng might be thinking?
Unable to hold it in first, he asked, “So what do you want from me?”
Su Peng gave an awkward smile and asked kindly, “Do you want to eat something first?”
“No need. Just say it.”
Su Peng hesitated for a moment, scratched the back of his head, and said with a smile, “Well… my family arranged a blind date for me…”
“I’m not pretending to be your girlfriend!” An Han said firmly, without any hesitation.
“Huh?” Su Peng didn’t understand at first, then quickly shook his head. “No, no, that’s not what I meant. I’m just nervous about my first blind date, so I wanted to bring a friend along.”
“......”
An Han grabbed his pants awkwardly.
But wait! This was great news!
He quickly realized this was the perfect chance to help Su Peng get a girlfriend and finally be free from the system forcing him toward Su Peng. He had been thinking about matchmaking for Su Peng nonstop, and now even Su Peng’s family was helping him!
His eyes lit up. He immediately threw all the awkwardness away, stood up, patted Su Peng’s shoulder, and nodded seriously. “How could I not help with my disciple’s lifelong happiness?”
What a pity it wasn’t Wu Dongming asking. If Wu Dongming asked him for this kind of favor, he would make sure Wu Dongming stayed single forever.
“By the way, when is it?”
“This weekend.”
“Then forget it. I’m busy this weekend,” An Han said, shaking his head with regret.
He had seen online that there would be a big convention in the city this weekend. Even though the ticket price was a bit high, wearing women’s clothing at a convention was normal. Even if people realized he was a guy, no one would care.
With so many strange and creative outfits at conventions, a boy wearing a cheongsam was honestly one of the more normal ones.
Su Peng sighed, resting his chin on one hand as he complained sadly, “I asked other people too, but they all said they’re busy or the place is too far.”
“I really am busy!” An Han defended himself. Then he asked with confusion, “Aren’t you only a little over twenty? And your family is already making you go on blind dates?”
“What can I do if they’re impatient?” Su Peng rubbed his temples tiredly.
It was a pity An Han was a guy. Otherwise, he really might bring him home to deal with the pressure.
“When you go on a date or blind date with a girl, you have to take the lead,” An Han said, already starting to teach. He shared the few flirting tips he knew. “Especially for blind dates. You look good, your family situation is good. If you act a bit more confident, you’ll definitely win her over!”
“Even though I can’t go with you, you still need to try your best!”
Su Peng shook his head. “But I don’t like that girl.”
“Uh…”
Aren’t you the one who was so desperate to find a girlfriend? Now someone wants to go on a date with you, and you say you don’t like her?
“It’s just to deal with my family. Dating is one thing, but if the blind date works out, my family’s next step will be pushing me to get married.”
“College students can get married though, right? I heard getting a marriage certificate can even give extra credits?”
“I’m only a little over twenty, why would I get married now?”
An Han worried himself sick over Su Peng’s situation. He spent a long time patiently giving advice, just so this man, who had 90 points of affection toward him, could find a girlfriend as soon as possible. If Su Peng got married early, then the “danger” he posed to An Han would be even lower.
But Su Peng didn’t listen at all. And right then, a system notification popped up before An Han’s eyes:
[Su Peng’s affection -3]
A pleasant surprise?!
So before this, he had been going in the wrong direction. Su Peng actually hated people nagging him?
An Han immediately became even more enthusiastic with his lecturing: “Anyway, you’ll have to get married sooner or later, so you—”
Su Peng stood up helplessly and walked away. He really couldn’t handle An Han’s nonstop nagging.
“Hey, wait for me!”
………………………
When An Han returned to the dorm, he was still grinning happily.
He finally found Su Peng’s weakness!
One talk = -3 affection points. Three times = -9 points. If he talked four or five more times, Su Peng’s affection would drop below 80!
And then he wouldn’t need to worry about Su Peng having any strange thoughts about him!
Feeling extremely pleased, he sat down at his computer and glanced back at Long Xing.
Recently, Long Xing had been very well-behaved. Even though they shared the same dorm room, he never did anything strange or said anything inappropriate.
This made An Han much less wary of him. But the affection score was still there.
“There’s a comic convention on the island this weekend,” Long Xing suddenly asked as he turned around. “Are any of you planning to go?”
“Comic convention?” An Han froze, suddenly feeling a bad premonition. He forced a smile and shook his head. “No. I’m not into anime stuff.”
If nothing unexpected happened, there should only be one big convention happening soon…
Long Xing didn’t comment and instead looked toward Chen Junjie.
“Yeah, why not go?” Chen Junjie leaned over to look at Long Xing’s screen. “How much is the ticket? I’ll buy mine with yours.”
“What’s so good about a convention?” An Han purposely complained loudly. “If you want to see pretty girls, isn’t it easier to look at photos online?”
But Chen Junjie completely ignored him and continued planning with Long Xing.
An Han felt anxious. He finally found a convention, and he already bought the ticket!
He secretly listened to their conversation, trying to figure out what time they planned to enter the venue.
But the place was huge. Even if they went at the same time, the chance of bumping into them wasn’t that high… right?
“Our school’s anime club seems to be going too,” Chen Junjie muttered. “Should we join them?”
“Sure.”
An Han slumped over the desk, looking miserable, still trying to badmouth the event. “It’s so far away, and the ticket is expensive. I don’t get what you guys see in it.”
Chen Junjie turned around. “How do you know it’s far and expensive?”
“......”
“You’re not planning to cross-dress at the convention, right?” he teased as usual.
Did you read the script or what?!
When others saw how An Han had changed, their attitude toward him also changed. Some became shy, some became more gentle toward him. But Chen Junjie stayed exactly the same, sharp-tongued and annoying.
In the past, An Han would have snapped back immediately. But now his body was weaker than before, making him uncertain and nervous.
If they really fought, he definitely wouldn’t win.
“I saw an ad for the convention before, okay?!”
He forced himself to argue back once, then shrank his neck like a scared quail and ignored Chen Junjie.
Suddenly, the plan to go to the convention in women’s clothes felt… much more dangerous!
