Chapter 85: Competition Sponsorship
“You decided this fast?”
Downstairs at the girls’ dorm, Lin Yi warmly hooked her arm around An Han’s. “Then let’s go to my dorm right now and try on the clothes?”
The two cheongsams he bought online had already been returned. cheongsams don’t have special sizes for men like some other women’s clothing, so now he could only listen to Lin Yi’s suggestion.
“Let’s not do that…” His whole body stiffened. He really wasn’t used to being this close to a girl. His face was already turning red.
Girls’ bodies are so soft and smell so nice… Good heavens, at least my sexual preference is still normal.
His face grew even redder. Even though his body and taste had already been “ruined” by the system, at least his orientation was still straight.
But then a strange thought suddenly appeared in his head.
When Long Xing and Su Peng get close to me… do they also think something like, “An Han’s body is so soft and smells nice”?
This weird guess instantly darkened his expression.
An Han quickly calmed down, shook his head, and pushed the idea away. “The dorm manager won’t let me go in.”
“How is that possible? The dorm manager doesn’t know you.”
“Men can’t—”
“If you don’t say anything, who will know you’re a man?”
He absolutely did NOT want a rumor spreading around the class saying he was a girl. No way he was stepping into the girls’ dorm. His head shook like crazy.
“But you still have to try the clothes on. And you need to take pictures to show the shop owner.”
After thinking hard for a moment, An Han suggested, “How about we find another place to change?”
“In my dorm I can even do your makeup. You’ll look much prettier, okay?”
Makeup?
An Han strongly refused anything girly, items or behavior. He already looked feminine enough. If he did any of that flashy stuff, the system wouldn’t even need to torment him. He would turn himself into neither a man nor a woman.
So he continued shaking his head. “How about you send my photo in men’s clothes to the shop owner?”
“But if the size isn’t right, I need to change it…” Lin Yi looked troubled. “At least give me your measurements. I need your bust, waist, and hip size. I’ll be fixing the clothes these days.”
“My… measurements?”
An Han froze. Other than talking about girls, he barely ever heard the word “measurements.”
“And also your arm length, leg length, things like that. Go buy a soft measuring tape. Measure yourself tonight and send it to me online. Oh, and photos, it’s best if you have a picture of you in women’s clothes.”
Where the hell would I get a photo of me in women’s clothes?!
Wait! I actually do have one…
He suddenly remembered Long Xing’s phone. The first time he met Long Xing while cross-dressing, he had been secretly photographed.
But the lighting in that photo was too dark, and back then he didn’t have his boosted stats yet. Even though Long Xing fell in love with that picture, it really wasn’t pretty.
“Okay, I’ll… check and see.”
Feeling worried, An Han walked away. His mind was a mess.
He had a bad feeling something was getting worse and worse.
More and more people knew he cross-dressed, and many people often treated him as a girl.
And because of his own changing sense of style, he had also started to feel interested in women’s clothes.
After this mission was over, he planned to try something new: when the countdown started during mission selection, he would NOT choose anything. He wanted to see what tricks the system would pull.
If it forced him to pick something, then he would just do the task without trying, and see what the system’s “forced execution” looked like.
Even though the cheongsam situation had made some progress, An Han still couldn’t feel happy. He went back to the dorm with a worried face, but right at the door he saw a person he really didn’t want to meet.
Wang Yu!
What are you doing here?!
His whole body froze. The memory of what happened at the hotel with Wang Yu rushed up in his head like fire, and his face immediately became hot.
Other people might treat him as a girl just because of his looks, but Wang Yu basically believed he was a woman.
That was way too dangerous!
Even if Long Xing or Su Peng liked him, they still wouldn’t dare do anything because they knew his real gender. But if Wang Yu’s affection for him passed 80, he might just confess directly.
So during these days, An Han had been avoiding Wang Yu on purpose, even avoiding chatting online.
Maybe Wang Yu felt his gaze, because while he had been leaning on the railing playing with his phone, he suddenly lifted his head and saw An Han sneaking backward, trying to run away.
“What are you hiding from?” Wang Yu asked flatly.
“No, I just suddenly remembered I need to buy a Coke.”
An Han’s skill at making up lies was improving. He looked Wang Yu straight in the eyes and spoke confidently.
Unfortunately, his face was burning red, completely showing his guilt.
Wang Yu put his hands in his pockets and walked toward him. “I’m not trying to force you to go work out.”
“Oh…”
“It’s about the competition.”
An Han’s eyes lit up instantly. “Did you find a sponsor? We can hold the competition?!”
“I wanted to say… it’s not very possible. I contacted Perfect World and also Valve, hoping they would support us, but none of them replied.”
“What’s the point of saying that…”
His excitement quickly dropped. He pressed his lips together and looked away. The unhappy, pitiful expression on his face made him look like a little kitten sitting sadly in a corner.
Wang Yu had always thought he was just a feminine-looking boy and had some bias against him. But after discovering An Han’s “secret” in the hotel, he realized An Han was actually pretty cute.
His cold expression softened a little, without realizing this change came from his rising affection. He continued, “But I did contact another sponsor.”
An Han’s unhappy expression instantly became excited again, like a cat that smelled fish. His eyes sparkled, and he leaned closer. “And then?”
“It’s a gambling website’s sponsorship.”
“Ugh, forget it then.”
The danger of online gambling sites was no less than the campus loan scams from a few years ago. CSGO gambling sites were especially bold and widespread. Even many top international teams had gambling sponsors, it was almost like an unwritten rule.
An Han hated this the most. He was even more afraid that if the school accepted their money and the students ended up addicted to gambling, he would feel like he had caused it.
Wang Yu nodded, as if he expected this. “Okay, I’ll reject their sponsorship.”
Seeing An Han fall back into a disappointed mood, he added helplessly, “There’s no choice. This competition is too small. That’s why I think we might not be able to hold it.”
These days, he had really tried many places. Small ones like the school cafeteria or nearby stores, but most shop owners had never even heard of CSGO. Bigger ones like computer malls or keyboard/mouse brands, but most didn’t reply.
“If we can’t do it, then forget it.”
It wasn’t like they were in a rush. Who knows, maybe in ten years or so, some internet café competition would suddenly appear, and Wang Sheng could join it.
And so far, the system had never said a mission had “failed.”
Even the very first mission, making Wu Dongming wear women’s clothes, still hadn’t shown any failure message.
An Han squinted his eyes, suddenly thinking he wanted to trick Wu Dongming.
