Chapter 273: A Greedy Dream

To avoid waking Armand with any sudden movement, Evelia didn’t use her usual strength to lift him onto the sofa. Instead, she let him quietly nap at the table and gently covered him with his usual long coat.

The coat was white, with a furry collar that looked as soft as a pile of snow. Right now, Armand looked like he was lying under a blanket of snow, the only thing standing out was his dark hair, which created a strong contrast.

Armand liked the color white. But sadly, the things that represented white, like the snow of winter, which looked soft but was actually cold, didn't suit him anymore.

Evelia could have taken this chance to search through Armand’s office files while he slept, but she didn’t. It was unclear whether it was because she already knew there wouldn’t be anything useful in there, or because she was still hesitating deep down.

She stood quietly by his side, watching the peaceful sleeping face she had seen so many times lately.

Then, she silently walked over to the door. With a soft “click,” she locked it. Not for any serious reason, but simply because she didn’t want anyone to disturb this moment of peace.

If it were the old Armand, he would have reacted to such a dangerous sound. But now, he was sleeping deeply, completely unaware that he had become like “a turtle in a jar,” trapped in Evelia’s hands.

Evelia returned to his side. She wanted to hug him again, but was afraid of waking him up, so she just stood there obediently—

—Just kidding. Facing the sleeping Armand, there was no way Evelia would actually behave and just stand still.

But she did try to hold herself back a little. After all, Armand was only resting his head on the desk for a short nap.

If she really pulled him into her arms and kissed him, it would surely be noticed.

But even if that happened, Evelia would admit it without hesitation. It was simple, she longed for that kind of closeness.

She liked the feeling of kissing. That kind of affection was hard to describe.

It was almost like an instinct. Evelia didn’t start liking kisses out of nowhere, it was just something naturally addictive.

Still, it was kind of sad. Most of Evelia’s knowledge about intimacy came from books. Although she had occasionally seen couples being intimate during missions, she never paid attention to what they were doing. She only cared about eliminating her targets, not their “lovey-dovey” interactions.

The rest of the “details” came from the stories she had read.

Evelia didn’t used to read storybooks often. But when she was undercover during missions, she had to pretend to be normal.

Sitting in a corner reading books or eating was the easiest way to blend in. So sometimes she accidentally picked up some... “interesting” books and learned things that people her age should probably already know.

Plus, she had also been to places like the backstreets, where all kinds of people and things existed. There, it wasn’t rare to overhear conversations about such topics.

The rest, she simply figured out through instinct.

Evelia had once seen a dancer passionately kissing a customer. At the time, when she saw their tongues tangled together, her first thought was, “Isn’t someone else’s saliva disgusting?” But now, she no longer thought that way.

At least, not when it came to Armand.

As for more “advanced” things, she had already read about those in a certain romance novel. She just hadn’t experienced any of it herself.

Still, even if she did one day, Evelia wouldn’t need to try too hard.

First, because these kinds of things are human “instincts”, as the saying goes, “the boat will naturally go straight when it reaches the bridge.”

Second, if someone needed to work hard... ahem, it should probably be her.

She leaned down and moved closer to Armand’s ear. Since Armand was sleeping with his head down, the only part of his face she could see was his ear.

Evelia softly breathed into Armand’s ear. The sticky sound of her mouth moving could be heard right next to him.

If she couldn’t kiss his lips, then using his ear instead wasn’t such a bad idea.

If she couldn’t taste him, then she would make sure the dreaming Mr. Armand remembered her voice.

Evelia gently bit Armand’s ear. Her lips softly pressed against the edge of his ear, and her tongue slowly followed its shape, leaving her mark behind.

“Mm...”

If Armand were still awake, he would have noticed that his ear was now filled with the sounds of gentle kisses. Just like that time a few months ago, when Evelia first “helped” him fall asleep.

Breathing sounds, kissing sounds, the soft hum of her mouth surrounding his ear, and the wet sounds from her tongue. All of it echoed in Armand’s head, growing louder and louder. Even in his dream, he couldn’t help but let out a quiet breath.

Evelia lightly nibbled his ear with her sharp little teeth, making Armand let out a small noise in his sleep.

And it wasn’t just her mouth that was getting carried away, her hands were also moving on their own.

Even though Armand was covered with a long coat, Evelia found just the right angle to slip her hand under it from the side.

Because of the thick coat, no one could see what her small, pale hand was touching. The only clue was the movement of her arm. It showed that she really was exploring his body.

“Mm...”

Armand stirred a little, which made Evelia freeze for a few seconds. But it seemed he didn’t wake up, his body was just reacting out of habit.

Strong feelings can often make people ignore important details.

Evelia was enjoying the way Armand was peacefully sleeping, and she was completely lost in that feeling. She didn’t stop to wonder why... why Armand, who had been getting better, was now trapped in a sleep he couldn’t wake from.

Her own desire had blinded her. She no longer thought about what was right or wrong. Instead, she selfishly soaked in the joy of having full control.

“...Mr. Armand.”

She softly whispered into his ear. She didn’t know if her voice would stay in Armand’s mind or stir his dreams even just a little.

Like in a romance novel, Evelia leaned close to Armand and gently called his name. Her voice wasn’t meant to wake him up, it was her way of trying to enter his dream.

“Mr. Armand... your Eve is right here.”

Even if it was just once, Evelia hoped she could appear in Armand’s sweet dream.

“If we meet in your dream... please, Mr. Armand, give your Eve a hug.”

People often say dreams can change how someone feels. Evelia was now wondering if she could somehow guide Armand, if only in a dream.

“If you can hug me... then kissing is okay too.”

She whispered the things she wished for, her voice growing softer and gentler. She didn’t know if the dream she imagined would come true, but she didn’t mind saying these things beside Armand’s ear anyway.

If only there were a chance... she really wanted to tell him all this in person.

She would say it completely and clearly. If Armand was willing to listen, she could say it a hundred times, even a thousand times.

“...Mr. Armand, please... like your Eve just a little more.”
