[Vol. 8] Chapter 172: Miss Violet, the Misleading Teacher
To make sure the map could show everything as real, detailed, and clear as possible, Sethlin had sent the winged people to different parts of the world carrying items filled with her divine power. These items were used in each area to release that power and scan the land thoroughly. This helped not only to gather information but was also a necessary step in making the map.
After going through hundreds of such scans, Sethlin carefully selected and refined all the information her divine thoughts had collected. She then poured it all into this special map made from the bark of the Tree of Life, using the power of natural laws to give it life. That’s what created the true core of this map.
It could show how tall a mountain is, how wide a river flows, or even whether there are hidden paths in valleys or forests. As long as someone activates the right part of the map like Violet just did, they can see everything clearly from a “god’s eye view.”
To be honest, when Violet first learned how this amazing map worked, she was really shocked.
This much effort, just to give her a little convenience. It may have been done “along the way,” but of course she was moved. That’s also why she agreed so easily to Sethlin’s request to help gather the Chosen Heroes. After all, true friendship means helping each other. And Violet doesn’t like owing people favors.

That was Chloe speaking, the mage in the Heaven Hero team. She was said to be a top graduate of one of the best magic academies in the Human United Kingdom. Her words sounded a bit annoyed, and she turned her eyes away on purpose, but the hint of envy in them still gave her true feelings away.
Honestly, anyone with basic common sense knows how useful a completely accurate map is when traveling. The Human United Kingdom, which was founded on adventurers, always teaches this in school, even if just as theory.
Not to mention, Miss Chloe wasn’t some clueless rookie. She had successfully passed the second trial, the ‘Gate of Underworld’, and was one of the best performers. She just had a sharp tongue, that’s all.
Violet didn’t mind the comments. She simply smiled, then used her fingers to make a spreading motion over part of the glowing blue map. The image instantly zoomed in more than ten times, showing a much more detailed and precise view of that area.
She had used this thing many times before, so it didn’t take her long to find what she was looking for. After thinking for a second, she tapped her finger on a long, clear highway on the map. At the end of it was the outline of a large city, clearly shown.
As she touched it, a lot of text popped up along with her gesture, appearing right in front of everyone’s eyes.
"This should be the place we are currently at. To the west of the Theo Province, there is a city called Saint Laos City, which is the largest city within several hundred kilometers. It has nearly a million people and is very close to the newly discovered ruins. If we want to explore the ruins, we definitely have to pass through Saint Laos City first, restock supplies, and prepare properly."

Even though Violet had been speaking for a while, no one, including the Heaven Hero Elunie’s team, dared to interrupt or argue. They all silently listened.

That’s where the Hero Instructors come in. To train, challenge, and humble them.

Take the Goddess Church in the Holy Empire, for example. Openly and secretly, they have several such powerful people, including Yuna Summerfield, who is a top-level demigod. For the current Chosen Heroes, these people are so strong it's like there’s a huge gap between them, making them perfect Instructors to show these young heroes how big the world really is and guide them in the early stages.
That’s what the title "Instructor" means.
Of course, the Bright Light Saintess, who has very important duties and holds a high position second only to the Pope, is far too busy, especially during wartime, to babysit a Chosen Hero. So, she clearly can’t take on the role of an instructor.
