But Lin Yibai set a clear rule for herself. Study at least three hours a day, no matter what.
It was only a little after 9 now. She needed to study for at least another hour and a half.
Xia Changyu sat nearby, trying hard to calm himself down. He looked at his phone… maybe tried meditating a little.
But the feeling in his heart didn’t go away. He felt a bit upset that Lin Yibai had to work and couldn’t spend as much time with him anymore, but he respected all her choices.

Looking at her back as she studied so hard, Xia Changyu smiled a little.

It was almost 11:30 when Lin Yibai finally put down her pen and stretched with a big yawn.
Study time was done for the day!

If you’re willing to drive me to work tomorrow, I can sleep a little longer at home. So… doing it now is not totally out of the question.”

Lin Yibai added, “But let me say this first, it’s already 11:30. I’ll give you at most one hour. No more. I need to rest.”

Lin Yibai sighed and mumbled, “Well, I don’t care anymore. I still have work tomorrow. If the sheets get dirty, you can wash and dry them!”
This was a game that was very fun and lasted a long time.
Lin Yibai sank into it, but she knew when to stop.
When the time was almost up, she said, “Come on, hurry up, okay?”
Xia Changyu looked helpless, “Uh… this kind of thing doesn’t really work that way. I can’t just speed it up on command!”
