Chapter 100: Mission Completed

[Mission completed. Reward obtained: Painless Period Trait]

Almost the moment the system message appeared, An Han, who had already been waiting for it, quickly pulled off the cheongsam he was wearing. Before the dress even slipped down past his waist, he was already impatiently pulling on a black short-sleeved shirt.

“Damn it…”

He kicked the cheongsam off his legs, put on his usual men’s pants, and finally let out a deep breath.

He had been tense the whole day. This mission was just too troublesome.

An Han sighed. Not only was it difficult, but he had also found himself enjoying the fun of crossdressing more than once.

Thankfully, he managed to stay true to himself and didn’t get lost in that strange, pleasant feeling that had crept into his heart.

“This is torture for both body and mind! It’s bad enough you turned me into some girly-looking crossdresser, but now you’re trying to reshape my mind into a girl’s too.”

“This system is so cruel!”

After tidying up his clothes, he unlocked the stall door and stepped out of the bathroom. Su Peng was standing against the wall outside with his hands in his pockets.

When he saw that An Han had changed back into men’s clothes, he couldn’t help feeling a little disappointed.

“Good thing we found an internet cafe that wasn’t so strict,” An Han muttered as he went to the sink.

He took out some makeup remover from his bag and rubbed it roughly over his face like it was just soap.

“Otherwise, what, you were planning to sleep on the street?” Su Peng asked.

“I did think about maybe going to a bar or KTV… but forget it.”

That would’ve been way too dangerous! An Han would rather stay on the street all night than go to a bar.

Even though bars these days were a lot more proper, who knew what kind of trouble he might still run into?

After washing his face, he leaned close to the mirror, carefully checking for any leftover makeup. The more he looked, the sadder he felt. That pretty face from earlier was gone…

Now I’m just an average-looking boy, a bit on the feminine side, that’s all.

That thought suddenly jolted him awake. He quickly looked away from the mirror, packed up his things, slung the backpack over Su Peng’s shoulder again, and turned to leave.

“Still want to play?” Su Peng asked.

“No. Let’s go back to school,” An Han said flatly, walking straight out of the cafe.

The sun was already high in the sky. It was around nine in the morning, and the air was getting warmer. He walked to the side of the street, head down, ordering a ride back to school on his phone. Then he turned back to glance at Su Peng, who was following behind.

At least this guy didn’t try anything funny.

The thing he’d worried about most that night was that Su Peng might try to make a move on him.

The chance of that was small. But with the affection level over 90, he had been prepared for anything.

Surprisingly, nothing happened at all.

“Maybe it’s hard to raise his affection any higher once it’s already above ninety?” An Han muttered to himself.

Normally, spending the whole night gaming together while wearing a sexy cheongsam would’ve at least added a few points, but since he kept his distance all night and avoided any close contact, the affection level hadn’t moved at all.

That was the only good news lately!

“When we get back, help me return the bag to Lin Yi, okay?”

An Han covered his mouth as he let out a long yawn, tears forming at the corners of his eyes. He looked completely exhausted.

“I’m so sleepy right now. I’ve got no energy left.”

“Sure. You can sleep a bit in the car when it comes,” Su Peng said, standing beside him and quietly watching his movements.

It was obvious that An Han hadn’t fully gotten out of his “girl mode” yet. His expressions and gestures still carried that soft, cute charm of a young girl, so much that even watching him yawn made Su Peng feel happy.

But soon, An Han noticed that his movements looked a bit strange. After stretching lazily, he spread his legs, shoved both hands into his pockets, and stood in a casual, sloppy posture. He stopped covering his mouth when yawning, and all the small, delicate gestures from before disappeared completely.

Su Peng, a little disappointed, turned his gaze away.

The ride-share car arrived. Yawning again and again, An Han walked forward, only to see Su Peng open the door first and stand to the side, saying, “You get in first.”

“Okay.”

Not thinking much of it, An Han climbed into the back seat, leaned against the seat, and quickly started to doze off.

Su Peng got in from the other side. He wanted to remind An Han to fasten his seat belt, but when he turned his head, he saw An Han’s head resting against the window, eyes closed.

As the driver slowly started the car, the body of the vehicle shook slightly, and An Han’s head lightly bumped against the window again and again with each vibration. The sight made Su Peng laugh quietly.

Clearly, An Han wasn’t really asleep.

Unable to hold it in, Su Peng said softly, “You can lean on my shoulder if you want to sleep.”

As soon as he said that, An Han suddenly sat up straight and scooted to the side, pressing himself tightly against the door, putting as much distance as possible between them.

“......”

Was that really necessary? It’s not like I have any bad intentions.

Su Peng felt a little hurt. He muttered under his breath and turned to look out the window. But only a few minutes later, he found his eyes drifting back to An Han, who was resting with his eyes closed.

Even without makeup or women’s clothes, An Han still looked nice, at least easy to get along with.

If only…

But before the thought could even finish forming, An Han suddenly lifted his foot and kicked Su Peng lightly on the shin.

The car was too small for him to dodge, so he just took the hit in silence and quickly looked away from An Han.

“Tsk~”

An Han snorted through his nose. He could clearly feel Su Peng’s burning gaze. Even though there wasn’t any bad intent behind it, just being stared at like that made his whole body uncomfortable.

Yawning again, he stretched lazily, but his mind was already drifting into sleep.

Forget it, whatever! I’m going to sleep!

He glanced at the vibrating car window, then at Su Peng, who was still looking out at the passing scenery.

Even an idiot could tell which side made a better pillow. So, with a heavy thud, he leaned his head directly onto Su Peng’s shoulder.

Su Peng’s body stiffened instantly. He turned his neck slowly to look at the calm, peaceful face resting on his shoulder.

What’s going on now?

So unpredictable, just like a girl’s mood swings.

Oh, wait… he’s a guy.

Trying to relax his muscles, Su Peng sat still, wanting to make his shoulder feel softer and more comfortable as a pillow. But the faint milky scent coming from An Han’s body kept drifting into his nose, driving him crazy.

“Um… are you asleep?”

“An Han?”

He called softly twice, but there was no answer. So he could only sigh helplessly and turn his head away, doing his best not to breathe in that dangerously tempting scent.

“Don’t overthink it. I just needed a pillow, that’s all.”

Then, a second later, An Han’s voice suddenly came out, sharp and serious.

“And don’t you dare tell anyone about the cosplay event! Or what happened last night!”

“I know.”

“Especially not Long Xing!”

“Huh?”

“If he asks, just tell him I went out messing around!”

“???”
