Chapter 111: Seven!
Under the shade of the trees in the corner of the playground, a few desks were pushed together to form a small resting area. Several students, either standing or sitting, gathered around it in small groups, chatting with one another.
An Han sat alone on the ground, resting his chin on one hand, staring blankly at the playground ahead.
“Xiao Han!”
Long Xing had somehow arrived as well, holding a thermos cup in his hand. He spread his legs carelessly and squatted beside An Han.
“Where’s Su Peng?”
“Probably still eating in the cafeteria.”
An Han lifted his eyebrows and glanced at Long Xing, then immediately sat up straight, tightening his expression, imitating Wang Yu’s cold and serious look.
He couldn’t act too casual in front of Long Xing. If this guy thought any of his gestures looked cute or adorable, his affection level might rise again.
He sniffed lightly but didn’t smell any strange scent from Long Xing’s body.
Good. For now, he could still get along safely with him.
Long Xing played with the handle of his thermos cup, and after a while, finally asked, “Xiao Han, why do you want to move out?”
Because of you!
“Did something happen in the dorm? Did Junjie bully you? Or…”
Long Xing glanced at An Han’s slender yet graceful figure that could almost be described as delicate. Maybe he just doesn’t want to reveal his secret?
Long Xing’s mind was full of questions, about An Han’s body that looked close to a girl’s, the soft curves, the almost blossoming chest, and his increasingly natural, cute, and feminine gestures… But he didn’t dare to ask, nor did he know how to start.
“No, I just think it’ll be easier to find an internship later if I rent a place outside.”
An Han casually came up with a reason. Just then, the class monitor, An Kexin, walked over holding a roll call sheet.
“An Han!”
Since his name came first alphabetically, An Han was always the first one called.
“Here!” he raised his hand, and his mind immediately began to wander, should he go back to the dorm to play games?
If he stayed on the playground, Su Peng and Long Xing would definitely keep bothering him. But if he went back to the dorm, even if Long Xing followed, he could just focus on gaming and avoid interacting.
After checking attendance, An Kexin looked around and noticed Su Peng wasn’t there, so she quietly marked him as “present.” Using her “class monitor privilege,” she then raised her voice to announce,
“The counselor said we’ll take attendance every half hour. If you’re not here, it’ll be marked as skipping class.”
Feeling a headache coming on, An Han rubbed the bridge of his nose, then immediately stood up and walked over to An Kexin.
“Um… I have something to do later. During roll call, could you maybe…”
“No!” An Kexin shook her head seriously, but then smiled and leaned close to whisper in his ear, “Where’s Su Peng?”
The warm breath tickled his ear, making it itch. An Han took a step back, rubbing his earlobe as he replied, “He’s probably in the cafeteria.”
“If you like him, you can just…”
“I don’t!” An Kexin interrupted quickly.
If she’d only denied it once, he might’ve believed her, but this reaction was way too suspicious.
If it weren’t for the system’s reverse mission, An Han might’ve already given his three-legged race spot to An Kexin so she could team up with Su Peng instead.
“Just help me mark me as present during roll call~”
“I know.” An Kexin lowered her head and whispered, “Don’t go telling people about this.”
Looks like this girl feels a bit insecure, maybe she thinks her looks don’t match Su Peng’s good looks?
An Han muttered in his heart, then nodded to show that he understood. After a short pause, he added,
“Oh right, when you take attendance, be stricter with my roommates.”
“Your roommates?” An Kexin looked at the crowd in confusion. “Which ones?”
Perfect. Now he could finally enjoy a whole day of peace in the dorm by himself. Since An Kexin didn’t even know who his roommates were, they wouldn’t have a way to cheat during roll call.
Feeling pleased, An Han happily walked toward the dorm building. He didn’t have any matches today. He just wanted to hide in the dorm and play computer games all day.
As soon as he got back, he sat down in front of his computer, opened the lid, launched his game, and then rested his chin on his hand, staring blankly at the screen.
Su Peng’s affection level only had seven points left. No matter how he thought about it, that was dangerous.
But if he didn’t keep testing the system, he would continue to become more and more feminine. He had to find a way to fight back, or at least stop the system from turning both his mind and body into that of a girl.
“The resistance feels so weak~”
“Finally found one loophole, and the system patched it right away.”
An image appeared in his mind: someone playing with a cat using a toy stick. And he was the cat. Jumping and chasing after the toy, while that damn system held the stick, teasing him with a wicked smile.
The game screen was already open on the monitor, but An Han suddenly lost interest. He changed from resting his chin on one hand to using both hands, leaning forward against the desk.
His face felt soft and smooth to the touch. Plump, tender, and strangely pleasant to squeeze. Too bad it was his own face.
The dorm door opened, and An Han instinctively turned to look. His whole body tensed up.
“Su Peng? There’s roll call every half hour, why are you back at the dorm?”
“I asked An Kexin to mark me present.”
“......”
Why won’t this guy ever leave me alone?!
Su Peng casually walked over to An Han’s side and noticed how his cute little face had stiffened up, looking unusually tense.
But then, the tension softened. Two small dimples appeared on his cheeks, his eyes curved like crescents, and his cherry-colored lips gently moved as he smiled sweetly.
“Wanna play duo queue?”
Su Peng was momentarily dazed, completely drawn in by that innocent yet charming smile.
[Su Peng’s affection +1]
Again! Only seven points left!
An Han’s heart skipped a beat, but then Su Peng asked, “Alright, should I bring my computer over?”
“You can just play from your dorm. We might have to go back to the field at any time anyway, play while you can, no need to bother bringing it here.”
“The field?”
“The counselor, what if he decides to take attendance himself?”
Su Peng thought that made sense, so he turned to leave, but then An Han’s voice suddenly stopped him.
“Oh right, be careful these next few days. Don’t fall or get hurt by accident.”
An Han suddenly realized that maybe the system wouldn’t necessarily target him. It might even make his game partner get injured instead… that damned system was totally capable of something like that.
Su Peng paused, clearly not understanding what he meant, but still nodded.
“Alright, I’ll be careful.”
“Try to stay in the dorm as much as possible, don’t go out!”
Seeing how serious and nervous he looked, Su Peng scratched his head and joked,
“Did someone threaten you or something? I remember the school gate has an anti-gang crime hotline…”
“No, no… it’s just—my sixth sense! Yeah, my sixth sense is really accurate!”
