Chapter 120: How Much Should I Scam?
An Han looked up, his eyes full of hope as he stared at Su Peng.
Hurry up and get mad, hit me! Even if you send me to the hospital, it’s fine! As long as the favorability goes down!
Su Peng stared at him. Those big, bright eyes looked full of desire. His cheeks were pink, his lips soft and sweet. He took a deep breath. This guy is probably asking for trouble.
He shook his head and smiled indulgently, “Eat. We already had lunch, I didn’t order too much.”
Are you completely without temper?!
An Han glared angrily and shoved his frustration into the barbecue on the table. Since neither of them were very hungry, they hadn’t ordered much, but every bite was delicious. The smoky, grilled beef brisket melted in his mouth, the ribs were so tender the meat fell off the bone. He kept eating and couldn’t stop.
To make Su Peng angry, he ate both plates as fast as he could, then belched loudly and felt so full he could barely move.
“So good! Just a bit greasy.”
“I barely even ate,” Su Peng sighed, looking at the mess on the table. “Turns out you’re a foodie.”
“Give me a napkin, I’ll wipe my hands. Or I’ll wipe them on you!”
Su Peng glanced at his light shirt and saw it was already stained. He figured wiping on him didn’t matter now, he looked like he’d fallen into the compost bin. He handed An Han a tissue.
“There’s soap in the bathroom. Tissues won’t clean it all.”
“Okay.” An Han slumped in his seat, occasionally licking the grease from his lips. Su Peng watched with a small, warm heat in his eyes, but controlled himself.
An Han pushed himself up slowly and walked to the bathroom. He was so full his belly stuck out a bit. He washed his hands, rubbed his belly, belched, and realized he couldn’t eat another bite.
And this little prank still didn’t make Su Peng mad. That guy even looked at him with tenderness, like a pet owner who doesn’t mind when a kitten knocks things over.
“All right, then I’ll be worse!”
An Han looked at himself in the mirror and tried to force an angry face. It didn’t look fierce at all. With those big watery eyes, he just looked wronged. He pressed his lips together and left the bathroom. “Pay and go!”
Su Peng chuckled and nodded, following him out.
People on the street kept glancing at Su Peng. He was a handsome young man, but his stained shirt made him look messy and drew attention. At first Su Peng felt awkward, but he soon got used to the looks, which made An Han even more disappointed. This guy must be social to the point of not caring.
An Han walking beside him helped share some of the looks, but Su Peng acted like it was nothing.
“By the way, we’re not entering the afternoon events,” An Han suddenly remembered and reminded Su Peng.
“You cared about that competition before.”
“Doesn’t matter.”
An Han sighed. He’d checked: the gender task’s deadline was at the start of the three-legged race. He worried that even if he lowered Su Peng’s favorability to around eighty by noon, it might climb back up during the race. Now it seemed the favorability wouldn’t drop at all…
One last try at self-destruction. If that fails, find another plan.
After thinking a moment, An Han asked, “Do you… think bride price is important for marriage?”
Right, time to throw a punch!
He tried hard to remember some of the online feminist arguments, waiting for Su Peng to fall into his trap. He’ll definitely complain about the bride price being too high! Just like Chen Junjie did!
But Su Peng was stunned. He turned his head and asked, “Isn’t it a bit too early to talk about the bride price now?”
An Han’s face turned bright red. All the “arguments” he had just prepared disappeared completely. He quickly shook his head.
“No, I’m just asking about your thoughts!”
“My family’s rich. It doesn’t matter.”
An Han almost choked on his own breath. After a short pause, he asked again, “Then what if your future wife argues with your parents and they don’t get along?”
Mother-in-law problems are also a key point of the “feminist debate”!
Su Peng suddenly became serious, as if An Han was testing him for the last time.
“No problem. My family has several houses. If they can’t get along, they just won’t live together.”
“What if they argue really badly, and your parents demand a divorce?”
Su Peng paused.
“My parents aren’t unreasonable people. And... my wife wouldn’t be, either. Otherwise, I wouldn’t like her.”
The only problem is... my parents probably won’t accept two men… If they could, we could just get married abroad.
It might be hard for others, but for him, it was just a small inconvenience.
An Han realized he hadn’t been on social media enough. He wasn’t good at these “feminist moves.” A few sentences in, and he had already been completely defeated.
What’s worse, Su Peng’s first sentence had thrown him off completely. His whole strategy was in chaos.
“It’s about time to head back,” An Han sighed softly.
“This way. It’s a shortcut.” Su Peng pointed at a nearby alley.
An Han followed behind him into the narrow street.
There were almost no people there. Moss grew between the old stone tiles, but An Han didn’t care about the surroundings. His eyes were fixed on Su Peng’s feet.
He hadn’t managed to trip him earlier. This time, from behind, he quietly reached out his foot to hook Su Peng’s ankle...
A direct physical prank like this, no matter what, Su Peng would surely get angry!
Without thinking much, An Han tiptoed forward, eyes locked on Su Peng’s ankle. He raised his left leg slightly and hooked forward.
His foot connected perfectly with Su Peng’s ankle!
He pulled back hard, already imagining Su Peng falling awkwardly to the ground.
But no matter how hard he pulled, Su Peng’s leg didn’t move at all...
Feeling awkward, An Han tried again twice, and then, sensing something was wrong, he slowly looked up. Only to see Su Peng turning his head, staring at him sideways.
“I was just... joking...”
An Han immediately straightened up, hiding his hands behind his back. His eyes nervously darted upward, and he started inching backward.
He could tell Su Peng was planning something.
He’s definitely mad now! After all those times I provoked him, anyone would snap!
“Today at lunch,” Su Peng said with a dark look, walking toward him, “you kept provoking me. Once, twice, three times... you really think I’m so patient you can mess with me however you want?”
An Han panicked, unsure what kind of beating was coming.
But wait, why hasn’t the system warned me that his affection level dropped yet?
Just as he was confused, he suddenly felt a sharp pain in his shoulder. His body was pushed back, hitting the wall behind him. The pain made him gasp softly.
I’m really gonna get hit!
He instinctively curled up, ready to shield his head.
Should I start thinking about how much money this will cost me later?
But before he could move, he felt a shadow closing in. A hand grabbed his chin, forcing his head up, and then, a warm breath brushed against his cheek.
His eyes shut tight as he trembled.
The next second, something soft touched his lips.
“Ah?”
As he opened his mouth in shock, a strong masculine breath entered.
“!!!”
Is... is this something I’ll have to take responsibility for my whole life?!
