Chapter 137: A Reasonable Excuse
In the end, An Han chose to pretend nothing happened. She quickly went back to bed, ignored Long Xing’s confused look, and pulled the blanket over her head, as if the whole thing never happened.
After all, explaining that she had been “doing something unspeakable” would probably only make Long Xing more excited.
Fortunately, once she got back into bed, Long Xing didn’t keep questioning her and soon fell quiet.
When she woke up, it was already noon.
Yawning, An Han reached for her phone beside the pillow and checked for any messages or missed calls. Seeing none, she sat up and looked around the dorm room.
It was the weekend. Chen Junjie was still lying in bed refusing to get up, Wang Sheng was already playing games, and Long Xing was still sound asleep, even snoring softly.
Looks like he went to bed later than me, she thought, pursing her lips. Maybe because he was still curious or suspicious about me last night?
An Han picked up her jacket from the end of the bed and put it on.
Even with the jacket covering her, the curve of her chest was still hard to hide. She didn’t know what size she was now, but compared to normal girls, it probably looked like the level of a fifteen- or sixteen-year-old’s development.
It had reached the point where it was impossible to conceal. And every small movement made the soft bounce even more noticeable. Plus, since her clothes rubbed against her chest constantly, she had become much more sensitive there.
“So annoying…”
An Han looked toward the balcony. Outside, the sky was gray and rainy, the cold front Su Peng mentioned was probably arriving soon.
The temperature had indeed dropped a few degrees since yesterday, but a thin jacket should still be enough.
Still, after getting out of bed, she went straight to the wardrobe to look for something thicker.
“Dad~ Are you going out later? Bring me some food,” Chen Junjie said lazily from his bed.
“Sure. What do you want to eat?”
“Ramen with extra beef and a fried egg.”
After answering, Chen Junjie rolled over and finally looked at An Han.
She was standing with her back to him, searching through the closet. From that angle, her slender shape and soft curves made him think for a moment that the person standing there must be a stunning beauty.
But when she turned around and he saw her face clearly, his interest instantly vanished. She was indeed beautiful, her facial features were delicate, but for some reason, when he looked at that face, what rose in his heart was not attraction but mockery.
“You that weak? It’s only twenty-something degrees and you already need more clothes?” he sneered.
“Do you still want lunch?” An Han asked flatly while buttoning her jacket.
“Dad!”
An Han sighed softly, brushed away the bangs that blocked her view, picked up her toothbrush and toothpaste, and walked toward the balcony to wash up.
Watching her leave, Chen Junjie muttered while lying back down, “Getting more girly by the day…”
Maybe their voices woke him, but Long Xing, who slept on the upper bunk, also stirred awake. His mind was still foggy, and images from his dream flashed through his head.
In the dream, the events from last night continued. He investigated An Han’s strange behavior, discovered that she was actually a girl, then courageously confessed to her, and in the end, they got married and had three kids…
“What kind of dream was that?” he thought, half laughing.
Even though he still had a smile on his lips, he knew how ridiculous it was. Even if An Han really had something to hide last night, there was no way that secret was her being a girl.
After living together for two years, he knew perfectly well whether An Han was male or female.
“What a pity, though.”
He wondered for a moment if An Han had ever thought about going to Thailand for surgery. He’d heard that the technology was pretty advanced there and now even domestic procedures were improving fast…
“Hey, Brother Long, I’m going out for a bit. You want me to get you something to eat?”
At that moment, An Han came back from the balcony. There was still a bit of toothpaste foam at the corner of her mouth, and she didn’t even notice.
That bit of white at the corner of her mouth made her pure-yet-alluring face even more suggestive.
Chen Junjie turned over in bed. “Why do you keep going out lately? Got yourself a boyfriend or something?”
Because I need to go to the public restroom to change my pad.
An Han’s face didn’t change. She walked up and lifted her foot as if to kick him.
“Alright, alright! Don’t kick my bed!”
“Xiao Han, you didn’t wipe your mouth,” Long Xing reminded her in the middle of their playful argument. “Just grab me anything for lunch.”
An Han lowered her foot and wiped the corner of her lips. “Got it.”
“What about you, Wang Sheng?”
“My delivery’s almost here.”
Seeing that none of her roommates needed anything else, she finally left the dorm room, planning to change her pad and buy lunch for the others.
Strange… Su Peng didn’t come find me today.
As soon as she stepped into the hallway, An Han subconsciously glanced toward the next room, feeling an impulse to go knock on the door, but quickly stopped herself.
No, this is good.
She sighed lightly and continued walking toward the stairs.
On the way, a few students passed by, staring curiously at the “girl” walking through the boys’ dorm.
“These pants really are too tight… but they’re already the loosest ones I have,” she muttered under her breath, tugging at the waistband now and then.
If she had known this day would come, she never would’ve bought so many slim-fit pants. Now that her body had changed, those pants clung too tightly, outlining every curve, especially around her hips.
Still, there was one good thing today: her period had finally ended. That meant she wouldn’t have to sneak out to public restrooms anymore, or constantly worry about her roommates discovering her secret.
As long as no one noticed her period, her figure changes could still be hidden fairly well during autumn and winter.
“System, since you gave me the ‘painless period’ feature, can’t you also give me a ‘no bleeding’ feature?”
“And why does it feel like my flow was way too heavy? Is that a side effect?”
Leaving the restroom, An Han complained to the system as usual. She was just about to head to the cafeteria when she suddenly noticed someone at the far end of the path, someone she’d been wanting to see for a long time.

She had planned to find him on Monday, but now they had unexpectedly met today!

An Han froze for a second, then forced her smile to stay as she walked up to him. “Brother Ren~ long time no see~ Where are you going?”
“We literally saw each other at the sports meet on Friday. I’m just going to eat.”
“Why are you being so cold~?”
Ren Chi didn’t stop walking. Glancing at her sugary smile, he sighed helplessly. “Whenever you smile like that, I know you’re up to no good.”
“……”
An Han was momentarily speechless, but she quickly caught up with him. This time, she dropped the sweet act and went straight to the point.
“Brother Ren, what do I need to do to get permission to live off-campus?”
“Give me a valid reason. And tell me how you’ll make sure it’s safe. Convince me, that’s all.”
“Uh…”
Actually, An Han did have a pretty good reason. After all, if she kept living in the dorm, she was afraid she’d accidentally turn all her roommates gay…
And on top of that, she was worried that in two months, she might have to go to the gynecology clinic and wouldn’t even know who the father was by then.
