On Monday, An Han lay weakly on her desk.
Yesterday’s medical checkup felt like going through hell.
If she hadn’t wanted to make sure her body, after being changed by the system, had no problems, she would never have forced herself to finish the entire process.

Resting her chin on her hand, An Han stared blankly at the teacher in front of the class. Next, she had to find Ren Chi to get permission for staying off-campus.
Although her “mind-reading” only picked up random thoughts from others, as long as the topic didn’t drift too far, she should be able to gather enough “information.”
“An Han, what did you and Su Peng do yesterday afternoon?”
Chen Junjie leaned closer curiously and whispered, “Why were you limping when you came back?”
“......”
“Don’t tell me he... you know...?”

An Han almost wanted to punch him, but seeing the teacher still at the podium, she held back her anger, exhaled, and said, “None of your business.”
“Tsk tsk tsk, looks like you’re getting closer to him.”
“Why are you gossiping like a woman?”
An Han shot him a sideways glance, then lifted her pen and began copying the key points the teacher was explaining.
It was already November. Winter break was less than three months away, around mid-January, according to the school calendar.

Finally, the long-awaited bell for the end of class rang.

Hearing the knocks, he looked up and saw a bright, smiling face peeking through the door.

“Come in.”
Worried that Ren Chi might leave work early, An Han had run all the way there. Her breathing was still heavy, her chest rising and falling as she hurried to his desk.
“Counselor.”
Hearing her formal tone instead of “Brother Ren,” Ren Chi relaxed a little.
“What is it? I’m about to leave. Speak quickly.”

An Han’s smile instantly turned sweeter. “Brother Ren~ I want to live off-campus!”
“How many times have I told you, give me a proper reason. How will you stay safe? If something happens off-campus, what am I supposed to do? I’ll be the one responsible!” Ren Chi tapped the table with his pen in annoyance.
“There’s really no way I can stay in the dorm anymore!” An Han pulled over a chair and sat down. While secretly listening to his thoughts, she explained, “You don’t know, Long Xing has bad intentions toward me!”

“Has the stress been that bad lately? Am I hearing things now?”
“What’s wrong, Brother Ren?” An Han asked curiously.
“Nothing. Maybe it’s just that you give me so much trouble that I’m under too much pressure.”
She muttered in dissatisfaction, “I just want to live outside the dorm…”
As a girl living in a boys’ dorm, it really was too dangerous. And now that her body was developing better and better, it was getting harder to hide it.
Why couldn’t she just have a flat chest~
Ren Chi rubbed his ear again, confusion in his eyes, but still asked, “So, have you decided where to live yet?”

Ren Chi thought maybe the “voice” he heard earlier wasn’t real, just an auditory hallucination. He decided he should go to the hospital for a mental checkup and maybe ask some of An Han’s friends about her.
Meanwhile, the already-nervous An Han quickly stood up.
“So... when will you give me an answer?”
“In two days.”
At least the counselor had loosened up a bit. She nodded and rushed out of the office.
Once in the hallway, An Han’s pace slowed. A thought came back to her mind. She had only relaxed her body and acted a little cute, could the effect really be that strong?
If it worked that well, shouldn’t the system have shown a “favorability increased” message or something?
Besides, when she begged Ren Chi to let her live off-campus before, she had already used a similar tone, right?
Her steps stopped. Then she tiptoed back to the office window. Her mind-reading skill still had time left, maybe she could pick up something interesting. Maybe she’d find out what Ren Chi was thinking about her?
Holding her breath, she focused hard to listen. If she heard footsteps, she’d run immediately.
“Check An Han’s file…”
Why is he checking my file?! Is it because he thinks I’m “more feminine than women,” so now he’s doubting my gender?!
An Han frowned deeply, confused.
“An Han?”
The sudden voice from inside the room made her freeze in panic. She didn’t dare make a sound.
“Did I mishear?” Ren Chi muttered to himself as he walked toward the file cabinet.
“How could a girl be assigned to a boys’ dorm? And it’s been two years, even if it was a mistake at first, she should’ve been moved to the girls’ dorm by now…”
Outside the office, An Han froze completely. Her pupils shrank, and her eyes widened in shock.
She lowered her head and quietly backed away, then ran down the stairs as fast as she could.
She had thought about telling Ren Chi the truth that she was actually a girl, but she never figured out how to explain it properly.
It’s not like she could just take off her pants to prove it!
But now… how on earth did Ren Chi find out?!
