Chapter 148: Sensitive Attributes
Su Peng silently watched An Han praise Wang Yu.
Although he didn’t say anything, the faint smile on his face slowly disappeared. Yet inside, he felt calm.
After spending so much time with her, Su Peng knew very well that An Han was actually afraid of Wang Yu, especially afraid that Wang Yu might drag her into doing workouts.
Besides, whenever this girl had some hidden plan, her smile always looked extra sweet. He understood that she did it on purpose to confuse people and make them lower their guard, but still… it was just too easy to read.
“Wang Yu’s body is better than yours, and his face looks more manly too~”
Even though Su Peng knew she was saying that just to provoke him, his mood still became a little unstable. Almost automatically, his eyes looked toward Wang Yu in the distance, comparing their looks in his head.
Come on, he’s not even as handsome as me!
What nonsense.
Sure, he’s got that square-shaped “manly” face, but that only makes him look a bit more rugged.
People often think square faces look too serious or old-fashioned, not really handsome. But actually, many tough-looking male actors have that kind of face.
So… does that mean An Han likes that type?
Without showing much emotion, Su Peng asked, “Didn’t you say he wanted to talk to you? Then why did he go to the basketball court?”
“Huh?”
An Han froze and looked again, only to see Wang Yu’s back walking away.
Wait a second, if he wasn’t going to talk to me, why was he staring at me earlier?
She didn’t think too deeply about it. When she looked back and saw that Su Peng had lost his smile, she figured her plan must be working. If she kept teasing him, maybe his affection level would drop below 100!
Just as she was about to say something more, Su Peng suddenly asked, “You said the competition didn’t get any sponsors?”
He seemed to know a bit about Wang Sheng’s situation. An Han didn’t expect him to focus on that of all things. “Why?”
“How about I help you find a sponsor for the competition?”
“Why don’t you just say you’ll sponsor it yourself?” she rolled her eyes.
Anyway, the mission had already failed.
According to the system, Wang Sheng probably couldn’t join the competition anymore. Or maybe it decided that his competition wouldn’t be something small like a simple internet cafe tournament.
Since An Han wasn’t going to get the PS5, she had lost all interest in the whole thing. She sat lazily on the grass, already thinking about whether she should go back to the dorm to take a nap.
“Xiao Han, Su Peng! Wanna play football (soccer)?”
From a distance, Long Xing came out of the equipment room with a football ball in his arms, calling loudly to them.
A group of six or seven classmates followed behind him, chatting excitedly about the upcoming match.
An Han wasn’t very interested in football, but Su Peng looked eager. He turned to An Han with an expectant look.
“If you want to play, go ahead. I’ll pass.” She yawned and stood up. “You guys can have the space. I’ll just watch from the side.”
“Xiao Han! Come on!” Long Xing had already run over. “We’re playing against the class next door, let’s crush them!”
“So childish…” An Han muttered, ready to leave.
Then, a familiar screen popped up in front of her:
[Option 1: Join the friendly match and become the MVP. Reward: Advanced Medical Skill]
[Option 2: Cheer for your classmates and boost their morale. Reward: A Magical Cat]
[Option 3: Refuse to join the match. Reward: Random Attribute Points]
She froze for a second, her eyes quickly scanning the sudden mission window.
This system was insane. It never showed up when it mattered, yet always appeared for the most useless things!
“I’ll do it,” Su Peng said with a smile, stepping forward. He glanced calmly at An Han and added, “An Han can just cheer for us.”
“Yeah, Xiao Han cheering for us sounds good. With your small body, better not get hurt,” Long Xing agreed.
He was already imagining himself showing off on the field, while An Han sat in the stands with eyes full of admiration, cheering loudly for him.
But An Han found herself in a dilemma.
Normally, she would choose Task 3, since now that she had become female, any increase in attributes would still be useful. But the problem was, her plan to rent a place off-campus had already fallen apart because of money and if her attributes increased again, it would make it easier for her roommates to notice that she was actually a girl.
The other tasks weren’t appealing either. Task 2 seemed suspicious, she seriously suspected it would make her wear a super short skirt and a tiny top, cheering while dancing for her classmates.
As for Task 1… if she didn’t break a bone doing it, that would already be considered lucky.
When she looked up, both Su Peng and Long Xing were watching her with the same hopeful eyes. Her heart gave a tiny tremble.
She realized that it was getting harder and harder for her to refuse Su Peng’s requests, every time she wanted to say no, that guilty feeling would appear out of nowhere…
He’s helped her way too much already. This couldn’t go on.
Even the competition sponsorship, she definitely couldn’t let Su Peng get involved, or that guilt would just keep piling up.
At this rate, if Su Peng one day asked to “just cuddle a bit without doing anything,” she probably wouldn’t be able to refuse either.
“Forget it. I’m going back to the dorm for a nap. Remember to call me at four so I can go to class.”
She made up a random excuse, turned around, and walked away.
The gaze behind her clearly dimmed with disappointment.
[Mission completed. Reward: +1 Sensitive Attribute]
What the heck kind of attribute is that? She had never seen it before!
Trying to ignore the sad eyes behind her, An Han focused on this so-called “sensitive attribute.”
Did it mean her body would become more sensitive?
How was that a good thing? Wouldn’t even a small fall hurt like hell then?
She walked to a quiet corner of the field and sat down, watching from afar as the others prepared for a basketball match against the neighboring class.
Even Wang Yu, who was originally going to play football, had joined them. The substitute P.E. teacher acted as the referee, whistle in his mouth, looking quite professional.
As An Han muttered to herself, an absurd thought suddenly flashed through her mind.
This “sensitive attribute”… it couldn’t possibly mean she’d, um, react more like those girls in adult comics, right…?
Her face turned red at once at that thought.
No way! She shook her head hard. Even if the system was annoying, it wouldn’t really turn her into some erotic comic heroine!
“It would’ve been better if it gave me a body attribute instead… Charm or looks would still be acceptable too,” she grumbled.
But then again, if her body stats became too high and she ended up with an E or F cup, that really would be comic-heroine level.
And too much charm would be bad too, random guys on the street might start hitting on her.
Actually… maybe her guess wasn’t that wrong.
That damn system really did seem to be turning her into some comic-style heroine.
“Yo~ our class beauty~”
She jumped in surprise, thinking for a second that someone had overheard her thoughts.
Chen Junjie strolled over lazily with a teasing grin. “How do you feel about getting the title of our class beauty?”
“What class beauty?” An Han let out a small sigh of relief but looked both surprised and confused.
“Lots of people in class are saying that you’re the class beauty. No one’s mentioned it to you before?”
What kind of stupid title was that?!
She rolled her eyes at him in annoyance. “Those guys clearly have too much free time.”
