Chapter 96: Too Crowded!

Although the place where An Han was standing was a bit far from the main area of the convention hall, there were still seven or eight men inside the men’s restroom handling their “business.”

When An Han walked in, almost all the men looked up in surprise. Then, after seeing his face clearly, their eyes lit up with excitement.

Finally, a real cross-dressing master in the flesh!

And not just any random one either. With makeup on and wearing a cheongsam, everything about him. His looks, body shape, even the faint blush on his cheeks, was flawless. Compared to those awkward and obvious cross-dressers, this one was on another level. His every movement and expression perfectly captured the image of a shy girl.

Noticing that many men were staring at him curiously, An Han hesitated and quietly took back the foot he had just stepped inside with.

Yeah… maybe I should go to the women’s restroom instead.

After all, since I’m wearing women’s clothes right now, I should respect that.

He quickly threw away his earlier thought. The intense gazes from those men were honestly a bit scary.

Without a second thought, he turned and went into the women’s restroom, only to find that almost every stall had a few girls waiting anxiously in line.

Why do women’s restrooms always have lines?!

Are there really that many more girls than guys at this cosplay event?

He couldn’t figure it out. After finishing up, An Han went to the sink outside and washed his hands with some of the free soap.

“It’s been a few hours already… I’m hungry…”

“I should’ve eaten before coming here. Everything here is so expensive.”

He muttered to himself, but then suddenly looked up at the mirror in front of him.

The sound of approaching footsteps from behind felt oddly familiar. As they got closer, his heart began to tighten.

Don’t tell me Long Xing came to attack me again?!

But when the person finally appeared in the mirror, An Han sighed in relief.

Ren Chi!

It wasn’t surprising that this anime-loving advisor came to the convention, even if he never admitted he was into anime.

What was surprising, though, was seeing the usually serious Ren Chi dressed in a white “anime shirt,” looking like a total fanboy as he scanned the crowd for pretty girls.

The next second, Ren Chi’s eyes fell on An Han’s back.

Those long, straight legs instantly caught his attention. He even pulled out his phone to snap a picture. But before he could leave, he paused, wanting to see her face.

An Han, playing along, turned around and gave him a sweet smile.

“Brother Ren, you came to the convention and didn’t wear women’s clothes?”

Gotcha! Proof that you’re into anime too, dear advisor!

Ren Chi’s expression of joy quickly turned into one of shock. Staring at that familiar yet strange face, he was speechless for a long time.

“……”

“Still saying you’re not into anime?” An Han teased with a sly smile, putting his hands behind his back as he walked closer. Then he poked the little black cat printed on Ren Chi’s shirt and joked, “Black Cat? That show’s so old already. You’re a real old-school otaku~”

“A-An Han?” Ren Chi instinctively took a step back. The light poke on his chest made his heart race even faster.

“Why are you looking so scared? You’re just like me, aren’t you—”

An Han suddenly froze.

He had always thought Ren Chi was the same as him because he once found women’s clothes in Ren Chi’s dorm. That’s why he didn’t bother hiding anything from him.

But in truth, this was the first time Ren Chi had ever seen An Han’s cross-dressing look, complete with an almost-too-short skirt and a very tight cheongsam.

Realizing this, An Han immediately lost the arrogant attitude he had just shown when teasing Ren Chi. His face turned red with embarrassment, and he quickly took a step back, tugging at the hem of his short skirt, trying to cover more of his thighs.

“It’s my first time seeing you in women’s clothes,” Ren Chi said awkwardly, scratching his head. He looked down at his own outfit, the anime-print shirt, and his face also turned a little red.

Wearing this kind of “anime shirt” already felt embarrassing enough in public, let alone wearing it in front of one of his own students.

Ren Chi felt that whatever authority he had built up as a teacher was completely gone. Then again, he never really had much authority when it came to An Han anyway.

Still… seeing An Han’s outfit, he thought An Han should be the one feeling embarrassed here.

Sure enough, An Han’s face was now completely flushed. He awkwardly brushed the hair behind his ear with his finger and glanced around nervously, speaking in a soft, weak voice.

“Please don’t tell anyone… and delete my photo too.”

[Ren Chi’s Favorability +10]

An Han’s expression became even more downcast and pitiful. He didn’t understand why he had to act so excited earlier and expose himself like that.

“Delete it? Sure.”

Ren Chi looked down at his phone and started tapping on it. As always, even though he had caught An Han’s secret, he didn’t ask any questions. After all, it was already embarrassing enough for him to show up at the convention in that shirt in front of his student.

If they started asking questions now, their relationship would probably become something like “partners in crime,” exposing each other’s embarrassing hobbies.

[Ren Chi: Favorability 72]

Wait, that high?!

While waiting for Ren Chi to delete the photo, An Han secretly checked his favorability score, and that glaring “72” made him even more alert.

He clearly remembered that the last time he checked, Ren Chi’s favorability was less than 50! How did it jump to over 70 with just +10?!

Was it because small increases didn’t trigger system notifications? Or maybe because they didn’t interact much, the system didn’t bother updating often?

An Han was shocked. He looked up at Ren Chi in panic.

What did I even do for you to gain 10 favorability points?! Just because you saw me in women’s clothes? Are you a face addict or what?!

A big red danger sign seemed to flash over his head.

“You want to check my gallery to make sure I deleted it?” Ren Chi asked.

“N-no need.”

An Han shook his head quickly. “I’ve got something to do, so I’ll be leaving first.”

He didn’t dare stay any longer. That tiny 8-point gap between “friendly” and “too close” could easily be crossed by accident!

He already had Long Xing and Su Peng to worry about, that was enough trouble! He definitely didn’t need a third one joining the mix!

He hurriedly jogged toward the Hanfu booth, just wanting to get far away from Ren Chi as fast as possible.

But then something even more unexpected happened.

At the end of the same street, Su Peng’s tall figure appeared!

That guy was handsome and tall, standing out in any crowd. It only took one glance for An Han to spot him.

Great, now everyone’s here!

Was the convention really that interesting?! Why did everyone suddenly show up?!

Weren’t you supposed to be on a blind date this weekend?! Did you bring your date to the convention?!

An Han quickly lowered his head and started running faster, hoping to brush past Su Peng at lightning speed.

Don’t see me! Don’t see me! Or even if you do, please just walk away quietly!

As he got closer to Su Peng, An Han sped up even more, planning to sprint right past him—

But then it felt like he ran straight into a lamppost. His head hurt, and his body fell backward before he could react.

Landing hard on the ground, he supported himself with both hands behind him, his legs automatically spreading into an awkward “V” shape.

When he looked up in despair, he saw Su Peng standing right in front of him. He had deliberately stepped in his way.

“You just exposed yourself.”
