Chapter 97: Social Death!

An Han sat on the ground, looking up blankly at Su Peng, who was standing right in front of him. His mind went completely blank.

“You exposed yourself,” Su Peng said calmly as he squatted down, using his body to block the view of the people around them.

“......”

Only then did An Han realize what was happening. He immediately sat up straight, pressed his thighs tightly together, and shoved the hem of his short skirt between them to cover himself.

Now he was basically sitting like a duck, but he didn’t have time to care. Panic filled his head as he tried to figure out what to do.

He never imagined he would run into Su Peng here of all places! His brain froze completely. After fixing his skirt, he just stared blankly at Su Peng again.

Wasn’t Su Peng supposed to be on a blind date this weekend?!

“You…”

An Han paused, but when he saw the teasing look in Su Peng’s eyes, his heart sank.

He recognized me again!

Was Lin Yi’s makeup really that bad?! Or was I just stupid to think makeup could work like a disguise?!

“What are you doing here… wearing a cheongsam?” Su Peng asked, standing up and reaching out his hand toward him.

An Han pressed his lips together and ignored the hand. He pushed himself off the ground, lowering his head as his ears turned completely red.

He knew it. The more you pray not to meet someone you know at an anime convention, the more likely the universe makes it happen.

At this point, all he could do was accept his fate.

But come on! So many acquaintances?! Why are all of them into anime now?!

Long Xing, Chen Junjie, and Ren Chi, fine, those three always showed some signs of being into that stuff.

But you, Su Peng?! Since when were you interested in anime?!

An Han started walking toward the Hanfu booth, while Su Peng casually followed beside him, hands in his pockets, strolling like he had all the time in the world.

Please just leave... I’m begging you.

Or if you’re going to stay, at least don’t talk. Don’t ask. Don’t say anything. Just walk silently, okay?

He prayed silently in his heart, but of course, Su Peng opened his mouth.

“Do you not wear a bra or something?”

“???”

An Han turned to him in confusion. It took him a moment to realize Su Peng must be talking about the earlier “exposure incident.”

It’s fine! Just boxer shorts! Nothing serious! It’s not like no one’s ever seen those before!

He tried to calm himself down, forcing a blank face as he replied in a straight tone, “Didn’t you see what I was wearing already?”

“I meant upstairs…” Su Peng replied.

An Han froze, then looked down at his own small chest pads. His teeth clenched as he whispered through gritted teeth, “I’m a man, why the hell would I wear that?!”

Su Peng seemed to enjoy seeing An Han flustered and trying to act tough while clearly embarrassed. The more An Han tried to argue with a guilty look on his face, the cuter he looked in Su Peng’s eyes.

Still, Su Peng reminded him, “When you were running earlier, it was bouncing up and down a lot…”

At first, An Han didn’t understand, then his eyes widened in shame and anger. “Shut up!” he snapped, glaring at him.

Su Peng just gave him an innocent smile.

For the first time ever, An Han found this guy so annoying!

He clenched his fists in frustration. He had always thought Su Peng was calm, polite, and kind. But now he realized that was all just a sheep’s disguise!

Underneath it, he was a cruel, teasing psycho who enjoyed exposing people’s weaknesses!

And you’re still smiling?! What are you laughing at, you jerk?!

An Han stormed forward angrily, trying to speed up and leave Su Peng behind, but his pace slowed down halfway, almost like he was just strolling, glancing nervously at his own chest as he walked.

Although they were small, when he moved too much, they really did bounce, just like Su Peng said…

He had noticed it before, but at school, he never had to move around so much. During class or after school, he would just sit or walk calmly, and even when he went jogging at night, it was dark enough that no one would notice anything.

So now… does that mean everyone here knows I’m not wearing any underwear?!

A wave of shame rushed to his head, his brain burning so hot that it felt like he could hear “whooo—whooo—whooo” noises in his mind. It was as if steam were about to burst out of his head.

He was so embarrassed that he couldn’t even lift his face. His head hung so low it almost touched his chest.

It’s fine, I’m a man, he told himself, but the crowd didn’t know that! Who knew what kind of person they thought he was right now?!

All kinds of dirty words flashed through An Han’s mind, making him freeze on the spot. His teary eyes turned toward Su Peng beside him.

Su Peng still had that same easygoing smile. Friendly on the surface, but teasing in tone.

“What’s wrong?” he asked.

“Help me cover my face...”

An Han quickly moved behind him, grabbing the back of his clothes and pressing his head against Su Peng’s back.

“You can actually get this shy?” Su Peng said in surprise.

“This isn’t being shy,” An Han muttered. “It’s social death!”

He could already imagine the headlines:

‘Girl at Comic Convention Exposes Herself While Posing!’

‘Shameless Cosplayer Goes Out Without Underwear!’

Even if it didn’t become news, it would definitely spread through the local cosplay circle in no time.

“Why did you take so long in the bathroom?”

From the front of the Hanfu booth, Lin Yi spotted An Han and ran over.

“After you left, customers stopped coming! Hey, why’s your face so red?”

Then she noticed Su Peng standing nearby. Looking between the red-faced, embarrassed An Han and the calm, smiling Su Peng, she asked suspiciously,

“You two... got something going on?”

“No!!!”

“If not, why are you yelling?” she mumbled, turning to leave, but suddenly felt her arm being grabbed.

An Han looked up at her pitifully, took two small steps closer, and whispered, “Do you... have a bra?”

“Huh?” Lin Yi blinked in surprise.

“A bra… chest pad…” he said weakly.

“You’re a guy, though?” Lin Yi said blankly.

Oh, so now you remember I’m a guy? Where was that awareness when you were forcing me into makeup and a cheongsam?!

“Even if I gave you mine… it’d be way too big for you,” Lin Yi said, glancing at his chest. She wondered how he even had that little bit of shape, but decided not to ask. “How about I take you outside to buy one?”

“I…”

Seeing that he looked like he was about to cry. His big eyes watery, his face completely red as if he might faint from embarrassment any second, Lin Yi sighed and gave in.

“Fine, then just go to a shop, get your size measured, and send me the numbers. I’ll buy it for you, okay?”

“This kindness… I’ll remember for life~” he said dramatically.

“Tch! I told you earlier you should wear a bra,” Lin Yi said as she squatted down, lifted her skirt a little so she could run, and then dashed toward the convention exit. “Remember! Measure it and send me your size!”

“Got it…”

An Han waved weakly, wobbling as he walked back into the booth. Completely exhausted, he leaned against a shelf and looked up, only to find Su Peng still standing beside him.

“You—! Go away!” he shouted in frustration, kicking toward him.

Su Peng took two steps back, his tone finally showing a bit of concern.

“I’m just worried something might happen to you.”

“I was fine before you showed up!”

“You only ran for a couple of minutes. Even if someone saw, they probably didn’t notice anything. It’s fine.”

“Shut up!”
