Chapter 158: Su Peng’s Blind Date
Now this was bad!
If she remembered right, the last time when her bandage top had accidentally “charmed” Wang Yu, his favorability toward her was 65. But now, without her noticing, it had already climbed to 75!
That was dangerously close to the warning line, almost hitting 80!
Wang Yu had always looked like the most proper and reliable guy around, yet he turned out to be a foot fetishist, and even worse, he had that toward someone he thought was a man!
The only good thing was that An Han’s connection with Wang Yu was limited to the fitness club and the gaming competition.
She rarely joined the club, and the competition was about to end, so there wasn’t much contact left.
At least Wang Yu didn’t live in the same dorm like Long Xing, where they’d see each other every day. And he wasn’t like Su Peng, who shamelessly stuck to her side every single day.
What made her even angrier was that whenever Su Peng came close, she would secretly… feel happy inside.
Damn it all!
An Han let out a lifeless sigh, scratching her hair with her nails. She had no mood for class at all and just sat there looking anxious and lost.
Today’s class was an important major course, but she couldn’t focus at all with all these random thoughts in her head.
Wait!
A sudden spark flashed in her mind.
She turned to Wang Sheng and asked, “You really plan to give me your prize money?”
Wang Sheng froze, looking at her in surprise. “Why? You’ve helped me so much…”
“Did Su Peng tell you to do that?”
“No, not at all. I’m not even that close with him.”
“Really…?” An Han looked at him suspiciously.
Wang Sheng awkwardly turned back toward the teacher, pretending to pay close attention to the lecture.
Su Peng had no reason to sponsor the tournament in the first place. But maybe he saw that she was worrying about money, so he took a roundabout way, used Wang Sheng’s prize as an excuse to help her rent a place!
At first, it was just a guess. After all, Wang Sheng wasn’t the type to talk much or be expressive, so it sounded weird that he’d suddenly want to give her all his prize money. But now, seeing his guilty reaction, An Han finally understood everything.
“I don’t want the prize money anymore, you keep it as a souvenir.”
What a sneaky move, Su Peng!
He looked so honest on the outside, but when he got serious, he was as forceful as a bandit and just as scheming when he wanted to be!
She turned to glance at Su Peng sitting not far behind. The next second, Su Peng noticed her gaze, and their eyes met.
There was warmth and gentleness in his eyes, and with that handsome face.
An Han’s cheeks instantly turned red. She quickly looked away.
Damn that gentleness!
Her body’s reaction made her feel both embarrassed and angry, so she forced herself to focus on studying and forget what just happened.
By the time class ended, the blush on her face had finally faded. As soon as the bell rang, she grabbed her stuff and hurried out of the classroom. The food delivery she ordered earlier should have arrived.
“An Han, wait a second! I need to talk to you!”
Su Peng’s voice called out from behind, but An Han kept her head down and walked even faster.
“Hey, Su Peng’s calling you,” Wang Sheng said, thinking she hadn’t heard.
An Han shot him a cold glare.
So Su Peng didn’t just “sponsor” the tournament. He even went and bought off my roommate!
How sneaky can you get!
Wang Sheng awkwardly looked away, while she casually replied, “I know, but my food delivery’s probably already at the dorm.”
Running all the way to the dorm entrance, An Han finally arrived first. Sure enough, her food delivery was sitting right there on the ground in front of the door.
She picked it up, unlocked the door, and only relaxed a little once she stepped inside the dorm. Here, even if Su Peng came chasing after her, she could at least hold back her body’s instinctive, embarrassing reactions because of her roommates’ presence.
“So annoying…”
Every time she saw Su Peng, she would blush like crazy. He probably thought she liked him or something.
“Why are you running so fast?”
The next one to enter the dorm was Long Xing. He had to attend recruitment events for the fitness club these days, so after tidying up a bit, he left again wearing quick-dry pants and a short-sleeved shirt.
An Han noticed he seemed really into showing off his muscles lately. The look on his face when he left made it seem like he was heading to a date.
“Getting stared at by a bunch of guys and acting all happy about it? So weird…”
She mumbled to herself, but by the time she was almost done eating lunch, she realized no one else had come back yet.
“Chen Junjie’s probably out on a date since he’s got a girlfriend now... Wang Yu said he and Wang Sheng had some tournament tryouts this week, so they went to the internet café...”
An Han looked up and saw Su Peng walking into the dorm.
So now it’s just the two of them?
Did my roommates all get paid off or something?!
“What’s up?” she asked casually while cleaning up the leftovers on the table.
“Can you come with me somewhere this weekend?”
Her first instinct was to say no, but then she remembered how much Su Peng had helped her before, so she changed her tone. “Tell me more.”
What’s it gonna be this time? Maybe his parents want him to bring home a fake girlfriend? Or his family’s pressuring him to get married? Basically, he just wants me to play the role of his girlfriend in front of his family!
No way I’m agreeing to that!
Su Peng pulled over Wang Sheng’s chair, sat down facing her, crossed one leg over the other, and looked totally relaxed.
Alright, let’s see what kind of excuse you’ve got this time.
“My family set me up on another blind date…”
An Han blinked. She vaguely remembered that he went on one before, during that anime convention.
“Blind date? Didn’t you already go once?”
“Yeah, but we didn’t like each other,” Su Peng said with a smile. “This time I’ve thought about it. I might as well give it a try. I mean, I’m a guy, what’s the loss? Worst case, I just spend a bit of money.”
Hearing him talk so casually about blind dating, An Han suddenly straightened her back and focused seriously. “And then?”
“Then if we get along, we’ll marry when the time’s right. If not, I’ll wait for the next one,” Su Peng said lightly. “I’m an only child, so my family keeps telling me to get married and have a kid soon.”
“Otherwise, if something happens to me, who’s the family business going to go to?”
An Han muttered under her breath, “You talk like you’ve got a royal throne to inherit…”
“So, will you come with me? I get a little nervous going alone. You’re my master, after all.”
[Mission 1: Refuse Su Peng’s request. Reward: Surprise boyfriend]
[Mission 2: Go home with Su Peng to meet his parents and get engaged. Reward: Engagement gift money]
[Mission 3: Go with Su Peng to his blind date. Reward: Random attribute points]
When Su Peng said he was actually going to accept the blind date, An Han felt her temper flare up. With an unusually serious look, she didn’t even bother checking the system missions and immediately replied, “I’ll go! When is it?”
“Saturday, on the island.”
“Are we taking a taxi or the bus?”
“I’ll drive.”
An Han nodded firmly. “Don’t worry, I’ll make sure everything goes perfectly!”
If I mess this up, I might as well change my gender!
