Chapter 159: The Plan
Ever since her period ended, An Han realized that becoming a woman actually hadn’t changed much in her daily life.
After the initial panic passed, her emotions gradually settled down. Although she still sometimes imagined a tragic future without meaning to, her mindset was now better, more focused on the present.
And the problem right now was… Su Peng might be baiting her!
An Han seriously suspected that what Su Peng said to her yesterday at lunch was just a way to get a reaction out of her.
But if he really found a girlfriend… she herself didn’t even have one yet! Why should that idiot get ahead of her?!
Besides, if she didn’t agree to go to the blind date with him, she’d get stuck with the “surprise boyfriend” reward from Mission 1!
How was that a reward? It was clearly a punishment!
That stupid system just wanted to turn me gay!
After convincing herself with an excuse she could accept, she immediately started preparing for the Saturday blind date. The date would be at a restaurant called Langs Restaurant.
During class, she completely lost focus. Holding her phone under the desk, she started searching online reviews of the restaurant. Finally, her eyes landed on the average spending per person.
— One thousand?!
“Evil capitalists!” she muttered through gritted teeth. “I’ve never eaten at such an expensive place in my whole life!”
“What?” Chen Junjie, who sat beside her, suddenly turned his head.
“None of your business!”
“You’ve been so aggressive lately.”
Chen Junjie slouched in his seat, looking tired. He’d lost all that annoying energy he used to have when teasing her.
Lately, he was broke, living on instant noodles, and spending most of his money on a girlfriend who spent like crazy. So he didn’t even have the energy to joke with An Han anymore.
Since he didn’t plan to argue back, An Han lowered her head again and started searching online: “Things to pay attention to when accompanying a friend on a blind date.” She wanted some reference.
1 . You’re just a supporting character, don’t steal your friend’s spotlight.
Got it. So I have to steal Su Peng’s spotlight…
But wait, whether it’s looks, family background, or personality, Su Peng outshines her in all aspects. Unless the girl happens to like pretty boys, there’s no way she can outshine him.
Being too outstanding really is a headache.
2 . Help your friend judge the other person.

Make it awkward on purpose. Tell some embarrassing stories about Su Peng from school, or even reveal his shady past from middle and high school, with some extra drama added in, of course.

An Han looked down at her outfit, a simple black cotton jacket and black casual pants. Her loose-fitting clothes hid her body curves and made her pretty face look much less striking.
So… should I dress up nicely for the blind date?
Propping her chin with one hand, she recalled her makeup from the anime convention, and how stunned Su Peng looked when she wore that cheongsam.
Hmm, maybe I should dress beautifully, so his blind date feels inferior! But why does that sound like I’m trying to claim him as mine?
Looking over the list of tips again, she realized that doing the opposite of them would definitely make Su Peng’s blind date dislike her. But to outsiders, her behavior would look exactly like a jealous girlfriend fighting over her man.
If she dressed down instead…
Then she’d really just become a background character, someone whose only role was to make Su Peng look more handsome!
“An Han, are you coming to watch my match this Saturday?” Wang Sheng suddenly asked in a low voice.
“No, I don’t understand that kind of game.”
“But didn’t I teach you before? You just don’t practice.”
An Han’s mind was already full of thoughts about Su Peng, so she just brushed him off casually. “It’s too hard, I can’t play it.”
“What’s hard about it? You just move your mouse over the enemy’s head and click the left button. Aren’t all shooting games like that?”
“???” She stared at Wang Sheng in confusion.
What the hell are you talking about?
By that logic, playing basketball is just throwing the ball toward the hoop, Go is just surrounding the white stones with black ones, and writing a novel is just hitting the keyboard, right? But I can’t do any of those either!
Just then, the bell rang.
An Han glanced toward the back of the classroom where Su Peng sat, then quickly got up and walked toward the front with the group of girls leaving the room.
Most of the time, girls sat closer to the front anyway. They usually woke up earlier, and the guys didn’t want to compete for those seats.
With a bang, she pressed both hands on Lin Yi’s desk, looking serious.
“You. Come out with me.”
“Ah?” Lin Yi, who had just opened a game with her roommates, jumped in surprise. “The hallway.”
Lin Yi was a nice, easygoing girl. Plus, after the two of them went to the anime convention together last time, they had gotten a lot closer.
So she followed An Han into the corner of the hallway, smiling. “What’s up? I haven’t broken up with my boyfriend yet, even though I admit Su Peng’s pretty handsome.”
“I’m not here to sell you Su Peng.” An Han leaned in closer. “Are you free on Saturday? Can you help me with some makeup?”
“Makeup?”
“Yeah!” An Han’s voice was firm, but her cheeks turned pink.
Lin Yi looked her up and down, surprised. “Didn’t you act like you were dying last time I did your makeup? Besides, your face already looks good enough to pass as a girl without makeup.”
“This time’s different. It’s… kind of a formal situation.” An Han tried her best to make her reason sound serious.
“But even in formal situations, guys usually just wear a suit and do their hair, right? Your skin looks fine, no acne either. Why do you even need makeup?”
An Han was speechless. She couldn’t exactly say ‘because I want to dress up and ruin Su Peng’s blind date’, could she?
Pressing her lips together, she finally snapped, “Why are you asking so many questions about me putting on makeup?!”
“Alright, alright! What time on Saturday? I’ll check my schedule.”
“Probably in the morning?” An Han hesitated. “Um, can I borrow some of your clothes too?”
They were about the same height, so Lin Yi’s clothes should fit her. Buying something online was risky. The size might not be right, and even with next-day delivery, it would be too late.
“I knew it, you’re going to crossdress again!” Lin Yi said excitedly. “You should’ve told me sooner! I still have that bra I bought for you last time! Take whatever clothes you want! Come to my dorm on Saturday and pick from my closet!”
Why is this girl so obsessed with dressing guys like girls?
Even though this matched An Han’s plan, something about it still felt off.
Am I just her fashion mannequin or what…
“Wait, are you going on a date with Su Peng this Saturday?” Lin Yi’s face turned bright red with excitement.
“I’m a guy…”
“You’re our class beauty~ What kind of guy looks this pretty?”
An Han turned her head away, refusing to respond.
But suddenly, she realized that bra Lin Yi bought last time… she probably couldn’t even fit into it anymore.
