Chapter 189: Get Out of My Computer!

“Su Peng! Su Peng! What’s with this little monster? It killed me in one hit!”

“Su Peng! I’m lost!”

“The boss is here! Come here and look!”

“So strong! I’ve died more than ten times on this monster and still can’t beat it!”

An Han stared in shock at the monster falling down on the screen, then looked at Su Peng with eyes full of admiration, shining as if they had light in them.

“How did you kill it so easily? You didn’t even die once?”

Su Peng’s pride swelled instantly. Straightening his back, he shook his head calmly.

“It’s nothing special,” he said lightly.

He suddenly understood why so many men liked playing sports, especially when girls were watching.

He glanced at An Han, who looked even more impressed.

“This monster is only medium difficulty. There are harder ones later… I already cleared the whole game before. It’s not hard.”

“How is that not hard~”

Although her admiration made Su Peng feel good and helped keep him awake for a while, his body was starting to give out.

He had slept late last night, and the weakness from his cold, along with the medicine’s drowsy side effects, made his eyelids grow heavier and heavier.

He sat beside An Han, his head drooping as he dozed off, occasionally jolting awake with a sneeze or a cough.

After yawning several times, he glanced at her focused face beside him. Once his pride faded, all he could do was sigh inside.

Why is she so bad at this?

How can someone get lost in a game?

Am I the one playing, or is she?

“Damn it! A bunch of monsters suddenly appeared!”

An Han slammed the table in frustration. After holding back for a while, her temper finally exploded.

She stood up and pointed at the screen, shouting, “What kind of stupid game is this! Why make it so hard? The developers must have done it just to make me suffer!”

Su Peng could only smile helplessly. This girl had always been impatient and never thought before acting, of course she couldn’t handle a game like this. The game ‘Sekiro’ might actually suit her better, at least it’s faster-paced.

“I’m so mad! I take two steps and die! How am I supposed to play this?!”

Cursing under her breath, An Han exited the game and angrily right-clicked the icon.

“Then get out of my computer!”

“This is my computer,” Su Peng reminded her dryly, if he didn’t say something, she might actually take the laptop home.

After all that chaos, it was already three in the afternoon. Su Peng stood up and glanced at An Han’s chest, which rose and fell slightly with her anger.

Still small…

Under the loose shirt, there was only a faint curve.

But at least better than before. A month ago, even with a jacket on, she was completely flat.

He had always liked girls who were big and fair-skinned… but this wasn’t bad either. It kind of felt like raising something and watching it grow.

“What are you looking at?!”

Su Peng immediately turned his gaze away, dodging her fierce glare. “I’m going to sleep.”

He walked to the bed and flopped down face-first. The sleepiness he had been holding back rushed over all at once, and within seconds, the room was filled with his steady, wave-like snoring.

Hearing him snore, An Han turned around and saw that he was lying face down, one leg hanging off the bed, and not even covered with a blanket.

“Sleeping like that when you have a cold…”

She sighed, stood up, and walked to the bed, trying to pull the blanket out from under him.

It was like a game of tug-of-war. After struggling for a few minutes, she finally managed to pull the blanket out from under Su Peng’s weight. Then she tossed the blanket aside, stepped forward again, and began lifting Su Peng’s leg, which was still hanging out the window, trying to move it back inside.

“Why are you so heavy!”

Su Peng had the kind of body that looked slim with clothes on but muscular underneath. So even though he usually looked a bit lean, he probably weighed around 65–70 kg, maybe even more.

After much effort, she finally got his leg back onto the bed. Standing there with her hands on her hips, An Han frowned as she looked at him. Then she realized he was lying too close to the edge, what if he rolled over and fell off?

So she used both hands, one pushing his shoulder, the other on his waist, trying hard to move Su Peng toward the middle of the bed.

For some reason, she suddenly felt like… a wife taking care of her drunk husband.

It wasn’t even the first time she’d looked after a drunk Su Peng. Back then, for the sake of a system upgrade task, she had used drinking as an excuse to try to raise his affection toward her.

And now, not only had she become a woman, but she was also about to give herself away for nothing...

“If things stay like this, maybe it’s not so bad,” she thought.

Something between best friends and lovers. Not quite a couple, but closer than normal friends.

They joked around a lot, sometimes with a hint of warmth or awkward affection, but overall, their bond was still one of deep friendship.

An Han knew she probably really did like Su Peng. But when she thought about how their relationship might have been influenced by the system, or about her past twenty years living as a man, and all the trouble that came with suddenly being a woman…

She looked at Su Peng, who was sleeping soundly, pulled the blanket over him, and pressed her lips together, her feelings a bit complicated. Then she sat down on the edge of the bed, quietly watching his side profile.

Honestly, his face was exactly her type.

She had always wished she could have a face and body like Su Peng’s. But her smaller build and short height meant that even back when she was male, she could never train herself to look like him.

She also really liked Su Peng’s personality, calm and gentle. Apart from sometimes being a bit assertive, he didn’t really have many flaws.

Well, maybe his self-care skills weren’t great...

Turning her head toward the shoes by the door, she noticed his shoelaces, always loose and messy. No wonder he preferred shoes without laces.

“In the end, I became a girl,” she sighed heavily, teasing herself. “Now the only way to ‘get’ that kind of face and body is through roundabout means.”

Her gaze softened as she looked at Su Peng’s sleeping face. She hugged one of her knees, staring blankly at him.

“He’s really handsome… but that snoring is awful.”

Apparently, good looks didn’t make snoring any better.

An Han complained softly, rubbed her poor ear, and stood up, leaving the room as if escaping.

But as soon as she stepped out, her gloomy mood suddenly lifted.

“I’ll cook dinner myself tonight!”

She imagined Su Peng’s bitter expression if she made something terrible, or his bright smile if she managed to make something tasty. Either way, she’d win.

The first would be a prank, the second would earn her praise, both felt great~

Changing into her men’s clothes and throwing on a jacket, An Han made up her mind and hurried downstairs.

The nearest market was three bus stops away, but she had never gone grocery shopping alone before.

Walking aimlessly through the market, she occasionally hopped over puddles on the dirty floor, frowning as she looked around.

There didn’t seem to be much in the afternoon... and she couldn’t even tell what was fresh or not.

Scratching her head, her eyes suddenly landed on the seafood section.

Shrimp and crab were full of protein, good for Su Peng’s recovery… and, well, she liked them too.

Wait! There were lobsters!

Her eyes lit up. She couldn’t afford one herself, but Su Peng definitely could!

“All the ingredients today are on Su Peng!” she decided happily.
