She turned excitedly toward Lin Lin’s Father, who was pacing in the living room.
“Stop walking around already, it’s making me nervous. Lin Lin is back!”
“Hello, Uncle and Auntie. I brought Lin Lin home.” Gao Liang greeted them politely, feeling a bit shy.
Lin Lin's Mother smiled with relief and said, “Thank you so much, Gao Liang. Where did you find Lin Lin? At first, we thought you asked her out. But later Xiao Yu said she wasn’t with you either. We were worried for so long.”
“I… I was looking for her too,” Gao Liang said awkwardly. “Actually… it was my sister. The two girls went out together, and Lin Lin ended up drinking too much.”

The two of them carried Lin Lin into the bedroom and gently placed her on the bed. Lin Lin's Mother had already changed her into pajamas.

Gao Liang squatted down and looked at Lin Lin’s side profile.

Half asleep, Lin Lin reached out and grabbed Gao Liang’s sleeve.
