Chapter 214: The Very Popular Su Peng
Monday, in the library.
An Han sat alone at a small round table in the corner, holding her book and phone, reading little by little.
She thought the final assignment would be easy, but she ran into trouble. So she came to the library to read the materials and search on Baidu at the same time.
“My head hurts…”
Even though her Intelligence stat had increased, it only seemed to improve her memory. It didn’t help her understand things better.
Maybe her brain had become rusty because she was too lazy to think for a long time, so it wasn’t fully awake yet.
“An~ Haaaan~”
A sweet and soft voice came from beside her ear. An Han looked up and saw An Kexin sitting across from her.
She only glanced once, then lowered her head and said, “You’ve become much prettier lately.”
“I’m learning how to dress up.”
This girl liked Su Peng. She was even the one who pushed forward the “relationship” between her and Su Peng during the sports meet.
Other girls being silly and cute was just their nature, but this girl being silly and cute was basically pushing An Han to give Su Peng away for free…
She didn’t hear An Kexin speak for a while, so without lifting her head, she asked, “Do you need something?”
“Well… why did you start wearing girls’ clothes?” An Kexin’s voice was nervous and even a little shaky.
“You do look pretty, but… but isn’t it a bit strange…?”
“After all, you’re a boy. Isn’t it not very good to wear girls’ clothes to class?”
An Han raised her head, confused. She really didn’t expect An Kexin to care so much about her crossdressing.
Does the class monitor have to manage class atmosphere too? Even the counselor didn’t say anything.
Then she saw how An Kexin was holding the chair with both hands, lowering her head so much it looked like she wanted to hide in her own chest. When she saw that shy and nervous look, she suddenly understood and blinked.
This girl must be feeling threatened~
Is she worried Su Peng will turn gay because of me?
An Han stared at An Kexin’s shy expression. She wanted to laugh, but held it in.
“I’m just normal friends with Su Peng.”
Even she felt a little guilty saying that. But the next sentence she said confidently.
“Su Peng isn’t gay, so what are you worried about!”
That made An Kexin panic even more.
“I’m not talking about Su Peng…”
But very soon she lowered her head again, and with a mosquito-like voice she asked, “Um… can you help me ask him out tonight?”
“He’s busy.”
An Han answered without hesitation.
“Oh… okay…”
An Kexin didn’t say anything else. She only glanced at An Han’s chest once.
She felt that An Han was even more feminine than real girls, and… her chest size… even with a jacket covering it, it still looked bigger than hers.
Was something stuffed inside the jacket? Or was it just the folds of the clothes?
Her sense of crisis was already maxed out!
She originally thought getting close to An Han would help her get closer to Su Peng… but now it felt like An Han had become her rival.
Maybe she was just overthinking…
An Kexin quietly left, taking her book and moving to another seat, secretly watching An Han from far away.
No matter how she looked, An Han was prettier than her…
“Su Peng is really popular,” An Han thought, unable to keep reading. She rested her cheek on one hand and played with her phone with the other.
Not just An Kexin, Lin Yi, who had just broken up with her boyfriend, was also looking at Su Peng.
And many more girls in the class were starting to show interest…
An Han could understand why the girls liked him. After all, Su Peng was always gentle, caring, and patient in daily life. He also had a handsome face that could compete for “best-looking guy on campus,” and he still hadn’t dated anyone in his two years of university. His reputation was very good.
It would be strange if girls didn’t like Su Peng.
But the problem was… why were these girls all so timid two months ago?!
Back then, she was worried about Su Peng’s growing affection for her and kept thinking about finding him a girlfriend to distract him!
But at that time, An Kexin was super timid and didn’t even dare to try inviting Su Peng out like she did today. Lin Yi had a boyfriend then and didn’t plan to date two people at once…
An Han sighed in her heart and sent Su Peng a message.
“An Kexin wants to hang out with you tonight.”
She decided to leave the choice to him.
“Didn’t we agree to play duo tonight?”
Almost the next second, Su Peng replied.
“Playing games is obviously not as important as dating a girl,” An Han typed seriously.
“Yeah right.”
For some reason, Su Peng rejecting An Kexin immediately made An Han feel very happy.
She crossed her legs, swinging her feet a little, and asked,
“Do you think the class monitor isn’t pretty? What about Lin Yi? If she asks you?”
“None of them are more important than you.”
“You just know how to say sweet things…” An Han whispered, but her cheeks were starting to get warm.
She realized Su Peng was attacking her heart more and more directly, and she could no longer defend herself like before.
It was just a few messages online, but her face was already red and her heartbeat faster.
In the past, this was impossible!
With the corners of her mouth lifting in a small happy smile, An Han gathered her materials, stood up, held her books in one arm, and kept texting Su Peng with her other hand.
She’d better borrow the books and read them at home.
But after only taking a few steps, she heard footsteps coming toward her. Before she could stop, she bumped straight into someone’s chest.
Taking a step back and looking up, she realized it was actually Su Peng, the same person she was texting.
“You don’t look where you’re walking?”
Su Peng rubbed his chest where she bumped him, then lifted the plastic bag in his hand.
“I brought you some bread and snacks. You didn’t eat lunch, right?”
“I was talking to you…”
An Han put away her phone, took the snacks, and handed him the books.
“Help me put these back. We can’t eat inside the library.”
She followed behind him with little quick steps, complaining nonstop.
“Some of the books are placed way too high. Luckily there’s a small ladder to climb.”
“But I’m afraid of heights~ My legs shake so much when I climb it. In TV dramas, the male lead always helps the girl at times like this.”
Su Peng laughed. “Isn’t that exactly what I’m doing now?”
An Han rolled her eyes at him, but then suddenly realized something. She quickly turned her head toward the reading corner… and saw An Kexin’s sad, hurt gaze.
Ah… this…
“Su Peng, I think you should take care of things with An Kexin,” she whispered after catching up to him. “She’s liked you for a long time.”
Su Peng froze. “You can just ignore something like that.”
“But she looks really sad.”
He followed her gaze toward An Kexin and scratched his head.
“Did you say something to her?”
“No!”
“You always cause trouble.”
“You’re the one who told me before to help you find a girlfriend…”
Su Peng teased her softly. “My dear master, I still need your help to find a girlfriend right now.”
An Han looked at him with innocent, clueless eyes.
“Fine, I’ll go talk to her.”
