Chapter 5: Do You Agree to Become His Bride?
Su Moyu was carried into the car by Bai Shuchuan, and then she met his parents.
What she didn’t expect was that his parents were exactly the same as she remembered. It felt like nothing in this world had changed, except that she had lost her “manhood”…
She put on her high heels again and was helped by Bai Shuchuan as they walked over to his parents.
By now, Su Moyu felt completely numb. Her heart was calm, and she didn’t even feel embarrassed anymore.
“Wow! Susu looks so beautiful in her wedding dress.” Sitting beside Bai Shuchuan’s parents was a young woman in her twenties, his older sister, Bai Xiaqing.

Then came the usual conversation with his parents, serving tea, and receiving money after changing how she addressed them. Su Moyu called them “Dad” and “Mom.”

“What are you talking about, Dad? Susu still needs to go to university,” Bai Xiaqing quickly argued.
Those words made Su Moyu blush deeply.

She sighed quietly in her heart, but when she looked up, she noticed Bai Shuchuan’s father’s smile suddenly stiffen, and his eyes became a bit dim.

Su Moyu carefully walked forward in small steps. The pain from her twisted ankle made her move very slowly.
Everyone’s eyes were on her. Looking at the long wedding dress she wore, she felt a quiet excitement in her heart.
Such a beautiful wedding dress.
This day came out of nowhere, but all her friends gave her their blessings.
Everything felt like a dream, yet also very real.
Marriage… maybe it wasn’t so bad. The wedding was lively, and she and Zhou Ya no longer had any complicated relationship.
Besides, Bai Shuchuan wouldn’t treat her badly. He wasn’t a bad person.
Supported by her father, she walked up to Bai Shuchuan. He was a head taller than her now. Looking at the smile on his face, she immediately saw through his fake expression. The atmosphere she had just built in her heart instantly collapsed.
“Your smile looks so fake.”
Su Moyu blurted out, her tone teasing. Bai Shuchuan raised his eyebrows helplessly and slightly toned down his smile.
Suddenly, everything felt familiar. The Bai Shuchuan in front of her also started to feel a bit more close and familiar.
The host kept saying emotional words to build the atmosphere, but Su Moyu didn’t hear a single sentence.
“Ms. Su Moyu, are you willing to marry Mr. Bai Shuchuan and become his wife?”
Su Moyu suddenly came back to her senses. She stared blankly at the groom in front of her, her expression a bit dazed.
If all of this were a dream, she should have woken up by now.
Maybe this joke that fate played on her… wasn’t completely meaningless.
She looked at the bouquet of roses in her hands. The light fragrance filled her nose.
This was the first time in her life that she had ever received flowers.
Maybe this choice, no matter what, would still be better than a love that ended with nothing.
Thinking of this, she remembered the days she spent with Zhou Ya, and her nose felt a little sour.
“I… I’m willing.”
Su Moyu answered softly, suddenly feeling a sense of relief.

The host then turned to Bai Shuchuan.

“I am,” Bai Shuchuan replied casually. His tone sounded careless and without emotion, which made Su Moyu feel confused. When she looked up and saw his usual fake smile, she felt even more puzzled.
She wanted to complain about his attitude, but hesitated and swallowed her words.
Maybe she was just overthinking things.

Bai Shuchuan brought someone back to their new home.
That’s right, now that they were married, they naturally had a new place to live, though it was still in the same city as their family.
“No need to help me.” A soft female voice entered his ears, making Bai Shuchuan feel a chill.
He still couldn’t get used to Su Moyu being a girl, so it felt a bit strange to him.
“You didn’t help me earlier…”
Su Moyu’s face was red, and her voice sounded a bit drowsy.
Bai Shuchuan watched as she flopped onto the sofa, then slowly turned her head.
“Don’t suddenly try to kiss me. I won’t kiss you, and don’t touch me like that.”
Her expression was full of dislike, which left Bai Shuchuan speechless.
“If you’re drunk, can you just stop talking?” he said helplessly.
“I’m not drunk,” Su Moyu said, trying to stand up from the sofa. But because of her injured foot, she immediately fell to the floor again.
“Hiss—” She gasped in pain.
Bai Shuchuan couldn’t stand it anymore. He reached out, held her by the waist, and carried her straight to the bed.
Su Moyu suddenly came back to her senses. Feeling the movement of her chest, she quickly covered it with her hands and looked at him nervously.
“Don’t do anything weird.”
Bai Shuchuan rubbed his temples. Just hearing her soft voice already made him uncomfortable.
He looked away, but still poured her a glass of water and placed it on the bedside table before leaving the bedroom.
Su Moyu felt like her head was splitting. Her waist and hips also hurt.

She suddenly opened her eyes, feeling extremely tired, with a dull pain in her hips.
