Chapter 7: Isn’t This Worth Being Happy About?
Su Moyu was confused. “How am I weird?”
“Because… you were a guy.”
Su Moyu looked down at her body. She had to admit, with the extra weight on her chest, even breathing felt a bit harder.
“It’s not like I chose to become like this. It’s just fate playing tricks on me, what can I do?” Su Moyu sighed dramatically. “I haven’t even gotten used to it yet.”
“True…” Bai Shuchuan sounded a bit helpless.
“Then forget your bias and give me an objective opinion of how I look now~” Su Moyu said casually, but her peach-shaped eyes were already full of expectation.
Bai Shuchuan watched her blink, hesitated for a moment, then finally gave in. “You look good.”
“Of course, of course~” Su Moyu waved her hand modestly, making Bai Shuchuan feel like punching her.
“Since our fate is so strong, how about Mr. Bai treats me to a meal to celebrate?”
Seeing her excited expression, Bai Shuchuan didn’t know what to say for a moment.
Maybe he still wasn’t used to Su Moyu being like this.
“Alright.”
“Then let’s go!” Su Moyu stood up from the sofa and limped to the bed to put on her socks.
She wore a light ivory coat and jeans, which made her figure look more slender. At least, to Bai Shuchuan, it looked much better than that off-shoulder wedding dress.
“Let’s eat something else. It’s not convenient for you to go out like this,” Bai Shuchuan said. “Tell me what you want, I’ll bring it back for you.”
Su Moyu shook her head, her long hair swaying with the movement. Bai Shuchuan’s eyes followed the strands of her hair.
“One hot pot meal is worth going out injured!”
She finished putting on her socks, slipped into her soft pink slippers, and limped toward the door.
Bai Shuchuan watched her back and followed her out.
“So this is our new home,” Su Moyu said, looking around. “Did the Bai Shuchuan of this world prepare it specially for marriage?”
“Looks like it. But it’s still in my family’s area,” Bai Shuchuan replied.
“Then… is the house registered under both our names?”
Bai Shuchuan frowned. He hadn’t thought about that.
“If that’s the case, then divorce would be troublesome,” Su Moyu said after thinking seriously for a moment.
“Divorce?” Bai Shuchuan was surprised.
She nodded. “Well, how could the two of us really live together as a married couple?”
“Then what will you do?”
Su Moyu blinked, then honestly shook her head.
“I don’t really know…”
She stood up after putting on her shoes and brushed the hair away from her face. “But I think if two people don’t have feelings for each other, then what’s the point of marriage, right?”
Her voice sounded calm, even a bit playful, but something told him her feelings weren’t as simple as her words.
Bai Shuchuan thought for a moment, feeling like he wanted to argue against her.
“…Maybe. Then what are you planning to do?”
“No matter what I do in the future, I can’t drag you down,” Su Moyu said as she looked back at him, then pushed the door open. “Anyway, I’ll figure something out. At worst, I can just raise a cat or a dog. That’s not bad either. Dating is too tiring~”
Bai Shuchuan followed her out. Her steps were unsteady, and then he spoke from behind her.
“You shouldn’t make such a rushed decision.”
The hallway went quiet for a moment, and then Bai Shuchuan heard Su Moyu take a breath.
“Right now, I just want to hurry up and eat hot pot~” Su Moyu said, her tone slightly complaining. Bai Shuchuan got the hint and didn’t bring the topic up again.
She followed him downstairs. Taking out her phone, she noticed it had a cute pink case. She couldn’t help but think that the original Su Moyu had quite a girly side.
Luckily, the phone password was still the same. She had been reborn during the October National Day holiday, today was actually National Day.
As they reached downstairs, her phone suddenly rang. She looked at the caller ID and saw it was Bai Xiaqing.
Alright… maybe the Su Moyu in this world was quite close to her.
She answered the call, and Bai Shuchuan naturally stopped walking and waited nearby.
The autumn air was a bit cool, but Bai Shuchuan was still wearing a white T-shirt. The sunset light shone on him, lighting up half of his face.
“Hello.”
“Susu~ happy wedding~ You’re going on a trip tomorrow, right? Are you ready?”
Su Moyu froze, then looked at Bai Shuchuan beside her in confusion.
A trip?
“Susu?”
“Ah, yes, yes…” Su Moyu quickly replied, even though she had no idea what was going on.
“Then can you bring me some local desserts from there? The candied fruits and pastries there are really delicious!” Bai Xiaqing said.
“Okay!” Su Moyu answered enthusiastically.
“Thank you, sister-in-law~” Bai Xiaqing said teasingly. “Take lots of nice photos, okay? As a working adult, I also want to see the scenery.”
“Alright,” Su Moyu replied obediently.
“Then that’s it. I didn’t interrupt you and Shuchuan, right?”
“No.”
“Good~”
After hanging up, Su Moyu turned and saw Bai Shuchuan’s expressionless face.
“My sister called? What did she say?”
“It seems we have a travel plan,” Su Moyu replied. “She called about that.”
Bai Shuchuan took out his phone and checked. Sure enough, there was a flight scheduled for 10 a.m. the next day.
A small head suddenly leaned closer into his view, and he could smell a faint fragrance from her.
“Wait, seriously?!” Su Moyu exclaimed. “We’re even taking a plane!”
Bai Shuchuan frowned. “What’s wrong with a plane?”
“I’ve never been on one before,” Su Moyu said confidently. “Compared to you, I’ve seen less.”
Bai Shuchuan laughed. “Actually, I haven’t taken many flights either.”
“Then why aren’t you excited?”
“Hmm… is this something to be that happy about?”
“Of course it is,” Su Moyu said softly and brightly, making Bai Shuchuan feel a little uneasy again.
“So where are we going…” she muttered, then suddenly squatted by the roadside and started checking through her phone.
Bai Shuchuan sighed helplessly. He looked at the ticket again and felt a headache coming.
A flight of more than an hour.
Another tiring thing to deal with.
“Brother Bai, we’re going to a hot spring!” Su Moyu waved at him excitedly.
Bai Shuchuan nodded stiffly. Sometimes he really didn’t understand how she could stay so excited all the time.
He looked away, his expression a bit hesitant.
“You… don’t want to go?” Su Moyu’s voice became a little downcast.
