Volume 3 Chapter 9: Glue
High school lunch breaks are very short. After eating, lying on the bed for a short while, Lin Lin went out.
On the way out, she left some books at home that she would not need in the afternoon. She planned to live for a few days with only the books she needed at hand. It was also a way to prepare herself early for college study.
With fewer books to carry, Lin Lin felt much lighter. She put on her bag and went back to school. Along the way, she quietly started thinking, with all the strange things that had happened recently, where should she even begin to investigate?
She walked into the classroom without paying much attention. Maybe because she had taken some books away, she felt more relaxed and her mind wandered. Because of that, she did not notice anything strange about her seat at first.
But then, just as she returned to her seat and was about to sit down, suddenly—

Lin Lin froze. Her whole body shook, and she quickly stopped halfway and stood back up.
Right away, she looked down at her chair.
Sure enough, just like the warning said, there was a puddle of clear, colorless liquid on her seat.
The position of the chair was also clearly different from usual. It was placed in a very hidden way, and it perfectly matched Lin Lin’s usual sitting habit. She had not planned to adjust the chair at all and was about to sit down directly.
If she did not have danger detection, she would have definitely sat on it today.
Lin Lin shivered.
This… this was no longer about being reasonable or not. This was clearly aimed at her!
She carefully touched it with the tip of her pen. The pen tip quickly stuck to it. Lin Lin grabbed the pen and pulled hard a few times, but the part stuck to the glue would not move at all.

Gao Liang had not arrived yet. Most likely, someone took advantage of the time when both he and Lin Lin were not in the classroom.
However, Han Kui, the most suspicious person, was also not there.
Lin Lin then looked suspiciously at the girls who usually sat in the back row and were very close to Han Kui. Her angry stare made them feel awkward. Some of them even curled their lips in annoyance and turned their heads away.

Lin Lin originally wanted to turn around and say something to everyone in the classroom, telling the person responsible to step forward on their own.

Just as she was standing beside her seat and waiting for the teacher to arrive, Han Kui suddenly walked into the classroom. When she entered, her eyes kept moving around restlessly, but she soon quickened her steps and went straight to her own seat.

Lin Lin stared at her figure, while also feeling anxious about why Gao Liang still had not arrived.

“Everyone, gather up now and go to the playground for a whole-school assembly. Wear your school uniforms! Hurry, hurry, this is urgent. Move!”
As soon as the teacher finished speaking, the classroom became noisy. Everyone stood up and started getting ready to line up. But very quickly, the issue of school uniforms came up.
“Teacher, what about students who aren’t wearing their uniforms? They’re washed and left at home.”
One student asked. Clearly, several students in the class were not wearing uniforms. Teacher Zhu looked a bit troubled. The notice from above had come too suddenly. After thinking for a moment, she finally said,
“Those without uniforms, stand at the back of the line. Hurry and line up first!”
Teacher Zhu sounded very anxious. Of course, the school was also rushing them. Lin Lin was caught off guard by this sudden assembly and stood there hesitating for a moment. Teacher Zhu noticed Lin Lin and turned around to ask.
“Hm? Lin Lin, what’s wrong?”
“Teacher, I…”
She was about to tell Teacher Zhu about the problem with her chair, but her shy and socially anxious nature suddenly made her nervous.
Teacher Zhu clearly did not have time to deal with her problem right now. Bringing it up at this moment probably would not help much anyway. Maybe she could talk about it later…

I’ve already prepared the speech for you. Can you wear your uniform? If not, you can borrow one from a classmate.”
“My uniform is in the storage cabinet at the back, but, teacher, today I—”

Teacher Zhu was clearly overwhelmed. She turned around, clapped her hands, and quickly urged the others to leave the classroom and line up.

Turning around, Lin Lin walked toward the back of the classroom. This area had small storage cabinets provided by the school for students to keep books and other items. Lin Lin usually stored her uniform here.
At the same time, outside the classroom, the class had already lined up and started moving out. Teacher Zhu needed to go to the playground to watch over the students. She called out to Lin Lin from outside.
“Lin Lin, put on your uniform as quickly as you can and come find the class!”
