Chapter 239: Father
In her father’s memory, An Han had always looked fairly delicate, but there was no way he would have thought she could look like a girl.
This time she came back, she still had that same delicate appearance. Though there was now a slight softness in her brows and expression, her face looked almost exactly like before, just a little more refined.

He stared blankly at An Han, still dressed in boys’ clothes, but with her makeup removed. He saw her smooth, delicate skin, her small, refined features, and her long, downward eyelashes that looked like fans.
The gentle, feminine air between her brows now perfectly suited her face. Even her movements and posture gave her a strong feminine charm.
Compared to his friend’s daughter, Lin Yue, it seemed like his own child might even be prettier.
Almost instinctively, he asked, “An Han?”

Because of past conflicts, her parents had argued and even divorced before. An Han was afraid that her situation might become another trigger for their conflict. To avoid that, she sacrificed herself.
By removing her makeup, she wanted her father to focus on her, rather than on the fact that her mother had hidden something from him.
But her father’s stunned expression still made her freeze.
“W-What’s wrong?” she asked, unable to face his shocked gaze. She moved to sit beside her mother, shy and timid, burying her head behind her mother.
“Your face… it wasn’t like this before.”
“I was wearing makeup,” An Han said softly, her voice almost too quiet to hear.
Her shoulders trembled slightly. Even though her father didn’t react like a volcano exploding, she still worried that this calm might just be before a storm.
She instinctively grabbed her mother’s clothes, too scared to look at her father’s eyes, and whispered, “I… I’ve become a girl.”
Her mother gently stroked her head and smiled. “It’s okay.”
“Mm.”
An Han felt a little calmer. She checked the system without thinking.

She paused. Maybe this wasn’t as terrifying as she had imagined.
She looked at her father. His eyes were still full of disbelief and surprise, but not the disgust she had feared in her dreams.
After staring for a long while, her father rubbed his temples and murmured, “How did this happen all of a sudden…”
“Well… it’s not so bad, right?” he said, as if reassuring himself. “At least we don’t have to worry about her finding a girl… or a boyfriend in the future.”
Her mother rolled her eyes.
Her father smiled awkwardly. Watching An Han, he took a deep breath and asked, “Why didn’t you tell me?”
“Because I was afraid you couldn’t accept it…”
From past conversations with her father, An Han knew he had always hoped she would live a normal life, get married, have children. He never pressured her too much and always took responsibility for the family. He wanted to buy her a house and a car, just so she could find a good, kind partner.
Maybe he once had high expectations for her, but An Han had only gotten into a normal university… and now, she had become a girl.
She glanced again at her father’s affection score.
She looked deeply into her father’s expression and let out a sigh of relief.
Thankfully, even though the affection score had risen, there were no signs that his fatherly love had turned into something else.
In his eyes, there was no possessive look like a man seeing a beautiful woman…
“Why is this so hard to accept…” her father muttered stubbornly.
It was indeed hard to accept, but luckily, An Han’s looks as a girl were so good that his anger and resistance had faded a lot.
Now he understood why there were strange rumors outside, it seemed some of them were true.
He rubbed his temples and looked at An Han again. Her face still vaguely looked like the old one, but her skin was a bit fairer, her eyes slightly bigger, and her face softer and smaller. These small changes combined had turned his son into a graceful young girl.
Not exactly a goddess, but definitely very pretty.
An Han’s tense body slowly relaxed, but her cheeks were still red from her father’s gaze.

Her hair was a messy mess, but An Han didn’t resist, only worrying that her mother would rub it bald.
Her father said nothing but had stopped staring at her face. He just ate the remaining food with a slightly strange expression. At least, he didn’t overreact.
An Han glanced at him and nodded, agreeing with her mother. “Okay.”
If she really went, it probably meant another gynecology visit…
The last gynecology checkup had been a nightmare for An Han. Even with thick skin, she couldn’t handle a doctor carefully inspecting her new parts. She wondered if normal girls also disliked gynecology checkups.
“Shall I go upstairs first?” she asked.
“From now on, wear girls’ clothes at home,” her mother said.
An Han still glanced nervously at her father, thinking that if she dressed nicely, maybe her father would accept her even more.
Besides, the new system item required testing. The best test subject would obviously be her little sister. Even if the report caused some side effects, it probably wouldn’t affect her sister much, her sister hadn’t even started her period yet.
An Han ran upstairs, stepped lightly, and peeked from the stairs to watch her father’s reaction.
As expected, he started complaining the moment she left.

Her father was the only male in his generation, and An Han had been his only son. Now that An Han had become a girl, the family line couldn’t continue.

An Han mumbled in her heart. She didn’t want to listen to more complaints, so she quietly stood up and tiptoed back to her room.
Even though her father was complaining, it was understandable. After all, a son he had raised for twenty years had suddenly become a daughter.
Back in her room, An Han quickly took the system item from the wardrobe, the medical report.
