Chapter 16: Such a Beautiful Moment, Let’s Enjoy It Together~
“Actually, being a girl isn’t that great,” Su Moyu said softly with a sigh. “For example, having extra weight on the chest… it makes breathing feel uncomfortable. And my strength is weaker now. If I wear a bra and stand for too long, my shoulders start to ache.”
Bai Shuchuan cleared his throat. “That’s not what I meant.”
Su Moyu frowned. “Then what are you jealous of? I don’t think there’s anything about me worth being jealous of.”
“I’m jealous of how honest you are,” Bai Shuchuan replied.
Su Moyu didn’t really understand. “What’s there to be jealous about? That’s weird.”
Bai Shuchuan shook his head. Just as he was about to say something else, the passengers around them started to stand up. He looked at the time and realized it was time to board.
“Let’s go, time to get on the plane.”
Su Moyu nodded, handed her boarding pass to him, and followed him onto the plane.
For Su Moyu, flying on a plane was still something new.
She sat down in her seat, full of curiosity, and turned to look out the window.
“When you went to visit your uncle before, you took a plane too, right?”
Bai Shuchuan nodded and glanced at his phone.
Seeing that he didn’t seem very interested in talking, Su Moyu wisely stopped trying to chat with him.
Maybe for him, this wasn’t anything special.
She thought about it and started wondering how the plane would take off.
Bai Shuchuan closed his eyes to rest. When he felt the plane start to move slowly, he heard Su Moyu let out a small excited sound.
“We’re about to go,” she said.
“Mm,” he replied calmly.
As the plane moved faster and faster, Su Moyu began to feel nervous.
When it finally took off, she saw the horizon outside the window tilt, and the plane started to shake. A strong feeling of weightlessness hit her. It felt like falling from the sky, and she panicked, grabbing the armrest tightly.
But Bai Shuchuan’s hand was also on the armrest, so she ended up grabbing his hand directly. He was a bit surprised and looked up to see her pale face.
“What’s wrong?” he asked.
“It’s kind of scary… it feels like the plane might crash.”
Bai Shuchuan laughed. “Isn’t it always like this when it takes off?”
Su Moyu felt a little embarrassed. “It’s my first time, okay?”
As soon as she finished speaking, she felt a warm sensation. She looked down and saw that Bai Shuchuan had wrapped her hand in his, gently squeezing it.
“Your hand is cold from fear. Are you really that scared?” he teased.
Su Moyu’s cheeks turned slightly red. She quickly pulled her hand back and turned to look out the window.
He always teases her at times like this. She had never experienced something like this before, being scared was normal, right?
She pressed her lips together, thinking that Bai Shuchuan was probably looking down on her again.
She looked down at the buildings below, which were becoming smaller and smaller. Her heart felt a bit heavy, yet she strangely missed the warm feeling that had just touched the back of her hand…
I must be crazy.
Su Moyu felt that she had really gone crazy.
When she thought about last night, about the warm feeling on her head, it made her feel as if something soft like a feather was gently brushing against her heart.
She couldn’t help but feel restless. When she was dating Zhou Ya before, she didn’t feel anything special about this kind of physical contact.
Thinking this, she secretly glanced at Bai Shuchuan beside her and saw that he was quietly looking down at his phone.
Alright… she shouldn’t expect him to think too much about it.
Maybe it was just because she had just gone through a breakup and hadn’t fully accepted it yet. Subconsciously, she might be treating Bai Shuchuan as some kind of emotional replacement.
As she thought this, she felt her own thoughts were a bit strange.
After the plane stabilized, Su Moyu was amazed by the view in front of her.
The blue sky stretched endlessly. Below, thick clouds floated like a vast sea. Through the gaps in the clouds, she could see cities far below, slowly shifting in her view. It felt like one of those crystal balls she got as a child, the kind with pictures inside that slowly spin.
“It’s really beautiful…” she said without thinking. Hearing her voice, Bai Shuchuan also looked out the window.
“If you could skydive from this height, it would definitely be exciting,” Su Moyu added.
Bai Shuchuan frowned. “But you were scared to death just during takeoff.”
Su Moyu turned her head and looked at him unhappily. His eyes briefly fell on her lips before she muttered, “Being scared and not daring to do something is different from not wanting to do it at all.”
Bai Shuchuan raised an eyebrow. That actually made sense.
“That feeling of floating freely in the air must be amazing. If I ever get the chance, I definitely want to try it,” Su Moyu said, turning back to the window.
From the side, Bai Shuchuan could see her eyes reflecting the blue sky outside. The plane’s wings cut through layers of clouds, and in her eyes, there was a kind of longing he had never seen before.
He looked back at the clouds outside. He had seen this kind of view before when he flew to his uncle’s factory.
In his view, Su Moyu’s figure blocked part of the scenery. But somehow, even with part of the view missing, it felt new to him.
‘When we’re out having fun, don’t think about unhappy things.’
As he watched her back, he suddenly remembered her words. The image of her standing in front of him on tiptoes also came to his mind.
And the warmth on his head… the soft touch of her hand…
“It really is beautiful,” Bai Shuchuan said without thinking. “You can only see a view like this when you’re on a plane.”
Su Moyu turned to look at him, and a smile appeared on her face.
As she sat up straight, the view in front of him became complete again, but his attention was already drawn to her smile.
“Yeah, it’s not like we can fly every day. Seeing a view like this once means one less chance to see it again,” Su Moyu said. “I think no matter when I see a view like this, I’ll always be amazed.”
After saying that, she raised her hand in a playful inviting gesture.
“Such a beautiful moment, come enjoy it with me~”
Her voice was lively and light. Bai Shuchuan paused for a moment, then smiled without realizing it.
Yeah… what he envied was her childlike nature, her way of always finding wonder in everything.
