Chapter 27: I’ll Pretend I Didn’t See Anything
The night was gentle. Bai Shuchuan watched as Su Moyu’s back faded into the shadows, her small figure slowly becoming unclear.
Su Moyu felt her hand being held tighter. Bai Shuchuan didn’t say anything, but hearing his heavy breathing, she could clearly tell what state he was in.
Maybe right now, he just needed a little space to let his emotions out.
She thought to herself.
Bai Shuchuan probably didn’t like to show his feelings directly.
His family had always been like that, showing emotions was never something easy.
Su Moyu let out a soft breath and suddenly felt a bit jealous of him.
With such an understanding friend like her, what more could he want?
She slowly walked with him until his breathing became steady again, then turned to look at him.
“Feeling a bit better now?” she asked with a smile. “If you feel better, then let’s go back to the hotel.”
Bai Shuchuan nodded but didn’t say anything.
Su Moyu found it a bit funny. He probably didn’t want her to notice that he had been crying.
But how could she not notice?
It was so obvious, what was he even trying to hide?
She really didn’t understand him sometimes.
By the time they returned to the hotel and settled down, it was already 8 p.m.
Su Moyu checked her messages and casually replied to Zhou Ya with a sticker.
As for her complicated situation with Zhou Ya, she still didn’t have a good way to deal with it. But coming out to travel was definitely a smart choice. At least now, she didn’t have many expectations about love anymore.
If they separated, then so be it. She felt she could accept it.
She secretly glanced at Bai Shuchuan again and felt that this poor guy must be feeling terrible.
“Alright, don’t think too much now. Get some rest, go watch the sunrise, and then we’ll go home and deal with everything after that,” Su Moyu said gently to comfort him.
Bai Shuchuan still nodded obediently. Su Moyu felt very satisfied with how well-behaved he was, and also felt that her role as a caring older sister fit her well.
…Wait, no—caring older brother.
Su Moyu reached into the plastic bag, took out a chocolate bar, carefully opened it, and broke off a piece to give to Bai Shuchuan.
He frowned a little, but still took the chocolate.
Su Moyu put a small piece into her mouth, and her expression immediately became happy.
“Chocolate is so good!” she couldn’t help saying.
But after the smooth and sweet taste faded, she suddenly felt a burning feeling in her throat…
Her body started to sweat coldly, but at the same time, a strange heat spread through her body…
Wait, what’s going on? Could she be allergic to chocolate now?
A bad thought flashed through her mind, and the strange feeling in her body kept getting stronger…
Was she really allergic to chocolate now?
As she thought this, her skin started to itch badly.
Su Moyu immediately felt something was wrong and called out,
“Bai Shuchuan, I think I’m allergic to chocolate.”
Bai Shuchuan swallowed the chocolate in his mouth. Seeing her face quickly turning red, he also realized something was wrong.
This allergy looked a bit serious…
He got up from the bed. Under Su Moyu’s confused gaze, he walked to the suitcase and took out a box of loratadine tablets.
Su Moyu froze when she saw the anti-allergy medicine.
“Why do you have this?”
“Because in this timeline, you have allergic rhinitis, so there’s this medicine in the suitcase,” Bai Shuchuan explained. “Take it quickly, or it might get worse.”
As he spoke, he also handed her a cup of warm water.
After taking the medicine, Su Moyu felt much better.
“Then I’ll just assume that the you in this world is very thoughtful~” she said softly.
“Hurry up and rest,” Bai Shuchuan said, then lay down on the bed.
